Chef/owner Adam Tortosa (1760, LA's Ink) worked in LA under master sushi chef Katsuya Uechi, but here he's putting his own spin on the fish he prepares. Details! It's rare to have a dining experience where so many details have been attended to so well - from the chairs to the stemware to the place settings . . . and of course the food, all in service of a sensuous and truly special meal.

Attentive staff, great quality ingredients (of course). A bit difficult to hear the chef at the counter probably due to acoustics of the room but did not take away from the overall experience, personally. Strawberry highball was yummy and refreshing; they have a house-made umeshu (plum wine) that I’d like to try in the future.

This was our first omakase experience and a celebration for our wedding anniversary. It was OUTSTANDING in every sense. They started us with a complimentary glass of champagne as a treat to celebrate our anniversary. We both did the top tier omakase with the paired sake tasting. It was not a traditional omakase in the sense of it being passed plates, but they were timed beautifully and it paired so well with the sake. We cannot wait to go again!
