Robin Menlo Park is a contemporary Japanese restaurant focused on providing a personalized omakase experience using the most pristine ingredients available from the markets each day. Prices range from $109 to $209 depending on each guests unique preferences. Chef/owner Adam Tortosa (1760, LA's Ink) worked in LA under master sushi chef Katsuya Uechi, but here he's putting his own spin on the fish he prepares. Other reasons to visit: the stylish interior, hip hop soundtrack, and pretty ceramics made by local craftsmen.

Attentive staff, great quality ingredients (of course). A bit difficult to hear the chef at the counter probably due to acoustics of the room but did not take away from the overall experience, personally. Strawberry highball was yummy and refreshing; they have a house-made umeshu (plum wine) that I’d like to try in the future.

This was our first omakase experience and a celebration for our wedding anniversary. It was OUTSTANDING in every sense. They started us with a complimentary glass of champagne as a treat to celebrate our anniversary. We both did the top tier omakase with the paired sake tasting. It was not a traditional omakase in the sense of it being passed plates, but they were timed beautifully and it paired so well with the sake. We cannot wait to go again!

Robin is a fantastic spot for a date—intimate ambiance, stylish decor, and a relaxed vibe that sets the perfect tone for the evening. The food is absolutely delicious, with every dish thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. It’s also a great value for the quality you get. Highly recommend for a special night out.
