The Robin Hood and Little John, a family owned pub and restaurant dating back to the 16th Century.

Bought by David and Fiona, the pub has recently undergone refurbishment and opened in July 2024. Open Tuesday to Sunday from 12 noon.

David and Fiona are keen to keep the traditional country pub but also incorporate some amazing home-cooked dishes created from the finest local ingredients.

    The service was faultless Elizabeth was so attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The food was of outstanding quality and cooked to perfection.

    Wonderful roast dinners, 1 burger and a super salad. Then delicious home made cheesecake. Up to usual high standard!

    Came for Wednesday Pie Night. We had to queue when we first arrived - we'd pre-booked a table. The waitress brought our food but really wasn't sure where our table was, even though we'd given our table number when we ordered at the bar. My pie wasn't hot enough. I had to wait to catch the waitress to send it back to get it heated. When I went to pay the barman, he didn't ask how the food was - I would have expected a reduction. We'd visited before when I had the excellent Steak and Ale pie. Probably Pie Night not the best time to go as they were so busy. I would go again but for lunch.

    We took 2 friends for lunch. They had not been to the Robin Hood before and were very impressed. Our food was perfect. Fish all round, perfectly cooked, followed by the homemade special dessert of summer fruits cheesecake. Wow. Deeelicious. Service was great as always.

    We were at first squeezed into a small dining area to the right of the bar but moved outside which is lovely. Just don’t sit near the metal ramp when kids are about as they love to jump on it and create a lot of noise on it. I’d recommend a wooden ramp. The food was fantastic. Best Roast I’d had for a long time.

    We had a very pleasant evening dining here in very nice surroundings, food was excellent and staff very efficient. Would highly recommend this pub/restaurant.

    Lovely pub. Very good service and food. The pub has recently been extended and it’s a great space with a fab garden. A bit pricey. £13.30 for a glass of vin de pays Provence rosé which was average. Food portions quite small too.

    Lovely food, great service, nice ambience, great choice on menu, not the typical pub food which was a pleasant surprise , dirty chips and antipasta enough for 3 adults. Good value for money. Loved it.
