Robin Alexander is not a fine dining restaurant, but has the interior designer of one. I compare it to the Olive Garden because the menu and prices are about on par. The food is good, and prices are very low. Don't expect a five star experience, which you might assume from the exterior, website, and ambiance, but the waitstaff is very friendly, if a bit chipper, and not extremely knowledgeable. Very similar to a lot of other Lynchburg restaurants. The only unique personality the restaurant has is the decor.

Never are in Lynchburg and found this restaurant that looked good. The décor is very nice and it had a vibrant bar scene. TV everywhere too to watch game and or other programs. Seated far away and asked to be moved and they accommodated immediately. Free Wi-Fi! Waiter was very tentative and willing to make many recommendations based upon my questions. The ribs appetizer was plentiful and the meat fell off the bone. Ordered the paella which was not traditional but was good too. It was a Tuesday and they had a beer special for $2. All in all, I would highly recommend this place based on the variety of food as well as quality of meals and great service!

This is consistently one of my favorites for casual dining and a few drinks in Lynchburg. Very friendly staff and well prepared food. Decent selections of food and spirits. I had a very good rib eye cooked medium (pink) with sides, desert and a good local craft beer for under $40.

I took my mother here for her 88th birthday. We had the best food, best server and it was a wonderful evening. Impeccable service, manager came personally to speak to us and gave my mother a special birthday dessert!

I was really impressed with this dining experience. the waiter and hostess was really nice. The service truly was incredible. The food was just ok. I would go there again just for the great service though.

The food was mouth-watering and delicious. Their martini menu is quite delightful! Would definitely recommend this place and looking forward to coming back! Definitely need to try more of their many martinis!!

Robin Alexander is a great place to go for either a casual dine or a romantic date. It is classy, yet trendy and laid-back. Pricing is not too bad. You pay okay prices for what you get. The food is great quality, and the burger menu is fairly large.

I recently went to RA Bistro for the first time. I was amazed how good the food was from entrée to desert. I had the Tuscan Chicken and my friend had the Steak Pasta. We highly recommend them both! Portions were perfect and our waiter Karem answered all of our questions with ease. They also have a extensive martini list. My only compliant is that I wish my glass of white wine was chilled better. Other than that I can't wait to go back.

They have a great variety of food in which everyone can find something to eat according to their preferences or allergy needs. I personally enjoy their burger menu which is extremely creative, but also has options for the vegetarian and non red-meat eater!

Always enjoy the food and atmosphere. My wife and I split a few appetizers when we go.

Service was great; a bit noisy for prixe. 6 PM and already sold out of soup of the day? Still a great place.

Great place for lunch. Parm chicken sandwich and waffle fries very good.

Food was very good. Band was loud and disturbing. Dinner was pricey but high quality. Unfortunately even screaming the 4 people at our table could not hold a conversation. I would go again when no band. The band was loud and horrible.

Always enjoy going to Robin Alexander when visiting our son at Lynchburg College... it is a gem! We love the food, the service, the friendly college-age staff. Thanks for the great experiences.

Robin Alexander, {RA}, has something for everyone! With tons of local & exotic craft beers & Martinis to great American cuisine the possibilities are endless. Definitely a family favorite <3

I was recommended this restaurant as a good place to go to for a special occasion as I was looking for somewhere to take my girlfriend for our 5 year anniversary. We had an extremely nice evening here, the staff were helpful, the ambiance was perfect, and the was absolutely divine - certainly worth the price we paid (admittedly a factor for college students like ourselves). Wouldn't have chosen to go anywhere else, Robin Alexanders truly stands apart from almost all other attractions in Lynchburg.

We were disappointed to say the least with our dining experience. The restaurant was cold. We kept our coats on during the meal. Lighting was poor. We could barely read the menu between the poor lighting and a menu printed in red on black. Food was average at best. We were visiting Lynchburg and heard good reviews about the restaurant, obviously disappointed and could not recommend.

We went in to listen to the music & had some very good burgers for dinner. They have a very large selection of burgers on the menu!

I've eaten here many times and the food is always great. During Restaurant Week it was crazy busy. New waiter was a little slow. But food and drinks were wonderful. The music, live music, was LOUD for dining between 7-8 on a Tuesday night. I'd have preferred the music be lowered and I'm hard of hearing... can't imagine how loud it really was for others. But I went for the food and drinks... which were superb as usual.

Table reserved for our anniversary wasn't an overly desirable location. The one sitting on the outside felt like he was intruding on the couple on the other side of the wall and felt like he was in the lane of traffic between tables.
The servers were favorable toward the fact they wished us "Happy Anniversary" and brought a candle over, but that was it.
I like the restaurant but felt kind of "unwhelmed" by the experience since it was our first time there together.
Loved the food and choices. Opted not to have dessert and in 45 mins the evening was done.

The host was kind enough to seat us outside and we were looking forward to a nice evening. The service made our evening much less enjoyable. The bottle of wine we ordered before we ordered our meal came out after the soups and salads. The crab corn soup was luke warm at best but had a good flavor. I had the crab cakes with mac and cheese which looked like it came out of a box. The crab cakes were tasty but barely warm. My husband had a seafood pasta dish he enjoyed. I would go back one more time and see how it is. The problems with temperature could be the server's fault.

The bistro had great food but seemed a little overpriced. It did take a while to get our food. The service was friendly. It had more of a sports bar feel than a bistro but thats a personal taste, personally think that the sports TV is not necessary, like sports but in that setting it would have been nice not to look up at football or basketball.

We went to the Roman Alexander's Bistro for the first time in celebration of a birthday. Couldn't have chosen a better spot! The staff were attentive, well informed, and very courteous. The food was fantastic and the suggestions for wine pairings by the staff, perfect. Will definitely be going again! Good for couples or larger parties.

I decided to celebrate at RA with my family after my college graduation. Even though I reserved a table the week of the event, I was able to get in, and was pleased with my choice. The food was good (especially the garlic mashed potatoes) and my cheesecake was literally divine. We had a good time and our server was super attentive. Some people in my party were served cold fries but she replaced them quickly. I would definitely reccomend this to a friend.

Temperate of food not warm enough.

The salad wraps are a highlight. You can turn any salad into a wrap. The menu is diversified so you are likely to find something for everyone. The food is good but not something you would need to rush back for.The broccoli soup tasted of flour. The lunch salmon portion plus VERY small.

Robin Alexanders is a great addition to Lynchburg's offering of restaurants. The food and service were very good and it was nice to be able to hold a conversation without having to shout at each other. It is very open and spacious and could easily accomodate a large group of people. I would recommend it anyone and I definitely will be back.
