This was our first visit to Robertas and it was fantastic. We had food, starters and mains as well as wine and cocktails. The service was second to none…Nona was our main server and was so friendly and attentive without being over bearing.
There is great background music to allow you to talk and enjoy your surroundings without it being over powering.
I would encourage people to try this place x
Best pizza in ages! Brooklyn lager very nice. Mussles and Whitebait good too.
All staff very nice.
Definitely getting the benefit of the doubt from me as it's a new venture. However, this visit wasn't without its issues for me.
Our server, Millie, was great, really friendly and attentive. Drink service was very slow in places though and our main meals arrived several minutes apart from eachother - never great but particularly noticeable when there are only two of you.
The food was a mixed bag - the bland monkfish carpaccio and the slightly soggy zucchini fritti didn't really live up to expectations raised by such a lovely menu. The capricciosa pizza was delicious, as was the seafood tagliolini - although the latter was a bit on the cold side by the time my friend's pizza arrived.
Ambience wise, certainly beautifully designed surroundings. The late 90s/early noughties clubland music, although nostalgic, seemed to both of us to be the wrong choice. It was certainly way too loud to be comfortable for my middle aged ears. The toilets, although obviously expensive and stylish, were a bit a of a mess, like they hadn't been checked by anyone in quite a while. Also, although I understand the point of the pizza oven area being on display, do you really want kitchen staff in food stained uniforms carrying dirty cookware through the restaurant?
All in all, lots of potential but a fair few areas for improvement. Hopefully just teething troubles and I certainly plan to return at some point.
Delicious food, friendly staff, efficient service. Great decor and ambience. Menu offers a wide choice of food and drink. We will definitely be back and we will be recommending to friends and family
Another great night of good food and service: the only issue is the music level. As a restaurant it’s a bit to load.
Fabulous place. Beautiful inside and the food was delicious. we had to try catch attention of staff to order drinks when we first arrived but after that the service was brilliant. Great atmosphere for just drinks and nice enough for a special occasion. I am making a return next month. Def recommend this place.
Lovely place. Food was good with reasonable choice. Service was good but maybe a bit over attentive at times.
Delicious pizza!!! So much flavor
Tried Roberta's for my partners birthday and the food was out of this world, hands down the best Italian we have tried in Glasgow and Lanarkshire (and I think we have tried them all), the place is stunning, wine was amazing and the service is the best I've had in a long time going over and above. Thank you so much we will be back very soon.
I went with my mum and brother for dinner. We had a beautiful meal, the service was great and the decor was gorgeous. However the music was so loud you had to shout over the table to speak to each other. It was a real disappointment as everything else was great, but more of a late night bar vibe than eating out. I wouldn’t be back again for a meal, but would get the food to takeaway or go for drinks.
Great cocktails, food was tasty but not out of this world. I personally liked the atmosphere but could understand people who might find the music too loud.
Loved overall experience in such a vibrant restaurant
A few little issues good very good lots of nice flavours
Produce very fresh and chhhhhtt to t can taste that
We both felt the good each course could have been warmer and portion of green peppercorn sauce was very small would have to order two portion
Very expensive for poor quality food. The manager seemed overwhelmed by putting people into their tables.
Fantastic food in a gorgeous venue, loved the atmosphere and the music was great. However the service could have been a little better. Our starters arrived which we were almost halfway through before we had even been served our first drinks so that was a bit annoying. The chocolate cake on the dessert menu was unavailable but we weren’t told that until we tried to order it. Just little things here and there which have brought our rating down but overall very good and we will definitely come back!
I was a disappointed with the food. Me and my sister had been looking forward to having a nice early dinner. Unfortunately, whilst the starter was okay, my main (pasta) was bland and I think it had been reheated. The manager was nice enough and I was not charged for the main. However, the prices are extortionate for food which is below average.
Don’t waist your money food and service was awful. Far to many other nice Italian,s in Glasgow this place maybe lovely inside but that’s it staff uninterested pasta was awful sent back. Got no apologies. Won’t be back
My wife and i had a three course meal, she loved hers and all i can say is i had one of the best pizzas i have tasted for years and i have had a pizza in Italy
Loved it … food , service and bar all amazing 🤩… thanks 🙏🏻 guys x
The food was nice but the service was lacking. Waitress was disinterested and didn’t know what some things were on the menu. Drinks order was slow with food arriving before and bill was given to us before we asked for it. She then hovered over us with the card machine so we paid and left without leaving a tip.
Great service with friendly and efficient staff - food was a bit disappointing but that may have been down to my choice - courgette fritters could have been crispier and more seasoning needed in the sauce -chicken was nice but pesto was a bit salty for my taste - staff knew we were celebrating birthdays and produced a plate with Happy Birthday written in chocolate with some fruit -a lovely touch and much appreciated.
Booked this for my birthday - had been watching the progress of the opening unfold on social media. We had looked at online menu and looked forward to eating at the restaurant.
Disappointed no oysters (which I had requested on my booking - but I did get a call telling me they were unavailable)
On arrival we were greeted warmly and shown to table - place looked amazing!
When menu came I was disappointed no mussels and very little seafood on the menu.
The food we chose done of which was recommended by our waiter was outstanding!!! Delicious fresh food!! Real fresh pasta - and the pizza was incredible!!
We had wine and I had a birthday cocktail. At end of meal I was given a cocktail and a plate with happy birthday on it!
Not a lot of dessert choices but we opted for cheese board which was ok.
My night was made special and we had an amazing time.
Almost but not quite experience.
Nice decor but music far too loud and wrong vibe. Bench seating too low and windows let in too much street lighting.
Wallpaper damaged in ladies toilet
Sparse menu but food good.
A bit of a mish mash needs to decide if its a bangin pizza joint or a styl8sh italian.
Could be great!
Lovely cocktails but the food was disappointing. Considering how many great Italian restaurants there are in Glasgow, Roberta’s will need to try harder.
Delicious food and excellent service for an early dinner. Would definitely visit again and recommend.
Hi really enjoyed our night food was delicious and good portion size. Really good value. Staff were very and attentive. Will def be back for the pizza.
Waited an hour for starters, main course 1 pasta dish which came out 10 minutes before the 3 fillet steaks, they were well undercooked sent them back waited another 10 minutes by this time the potatoes were cold, ordered 3 peppercorn sauces which didn’t arrive until the steaks were finished but still got charged for them, music was so loud you had to lip read, service was shocking, will not be back!
All over a good evening but the music was far too loud..it was difficult to hear our companions at times.
Lovely place and great atmosphere. Food was amazing. Would go again
We went for a Saturday lunch at Roberta’s and had a lovely time. The staff were friendly and service was fast. Unfortunately the menu was quite different to the sample one online, specifically a lot of the seafood starters were missing, however the bruschetta’s we chose were lovely but it was the pizza that stood out….they were sublime! Fresh, tasty and extremely large, I would return for these alone! The wine and drinks menu were also really good and we both enjoyed a couple of cocktails while we were there. I would definitely recommend Roberta’s to anyone looking for some tasty Italian food in a comfortable and upbeat restaurant.
Gorgeous food and excellent service. The environment was very modern and fresh, but the music was too loud to have a decent conversation. The lights were switched from very strong to dim at several times throughout the night.
It was really good food and ambience perfect.
Service was great (host at start particularly welcoming and waiter was very thorough as well) and it was our two year anniversary. Staff were very attentive and accommodating, they got us a couple of glasses of Prosecco and wee dessert plate saying happy anniversary.
Amazing food ! Nice, simple but great Menus. The vibe was great & the restaurant decor was so lovely!
The wine choice was also great.
The service was so genuine & friendly with drinks & food coming at a good pace!
Will definitely be visiting again to try other items from the menu. 100% would recommend a visit as the venue itself was really spectacular.
Arrived at this wonderful venue and seated promptly. We were given the menu and our drinks order taken. I went slightly of piste with my cocktail request (a spicy bloody Mary) and wish I hadn't as I had to season it myself and request the limes I had asked to be added. I found the food pricing quite expensive except for the Pizzas (my starter more expensive than my main course surely not right) however the quality and taste of the food was outstanding.
Food was great as was the service
Lovely new restaurant, delicious food, great choice and friendly staff
Ok guys an honest review
You didn’t have the wine we wanted tho on your menu
We asked for the fish not go be cooked in butter. You couldn’t comply. Pre/cooked!
Waitress not quite sure what certain dishes were.
Food including coffee moderately warm
Main coursemussels = starter portion size & 2 shells served ‘closed’
But friendly staff- fun atmosphere. Don’t think you would survive in Edinburgh/ London /NY/HK without improving
Having said that we will try again
First time visit to a beautifully designed bar/restaurant with exceptional food served by friendly, attentive staff. Highly recommended.
Service was slow and confused (I could see the staff with numerous plates in front of them constantly trying to figure out who was supposed to get what). My drink order was muddled up, two main courses took ages to arrive, and the third arrived much later and cold.
The music became more intense as the night went on (like gbx towards the end).
Apologies were made and the fact they've only been open a week or so is understandable, but unfortunately the food wasn't good enough to encourage me to overlook the poor service. A fair amount of training is needed I think - I really hope things get better, Roberta's could be great!
Food was very good however took 20 mins to get a drink even though the place was half full. Service was very poor and the waitress was unaware of the menu contents. I asked for three oysters that were individually priced and one arrived and when I pointed this out I was asked if I wanted three starters? Also the waitress was unaware of the type of fish of the day. We had to reorder drinks as the bar was unsure of our order ( martini and Virgin Mary ) but the main issue was the music level inside the restaurant. It was very loud dance music that basically halted any type of conversation. Maybe they are trying to attract a younger crowd but the music was unsuitable in my view.
Excellent service & food was lovely, beautiful decor. Highly recommend
