My guest and I found Robert a delightful surprise. The location on the ninth floor is spectacular, particularly since we were able to nab a window table overlooking Columbus Circle and the Park. The lunch we had was excellent and quite reasonably priced. The service was friendly and competent. All in all, a wonderful choice for that part of town.
Everything was excellent! Highly recommend!
We hosted A Sylvia Miles Dinner Memorial tribute to our great friend Sylvia . it was her favorite dining spot for special occasions . We were so happy we were able to get her favorite window table . Thanks so much ! And the food /drinks were fab !
Booked a Saturday early Brunch time to increase the chance of a window seat and got one! I totally enjoy the View and the Ambiance of this restaurant! I have been several times and Definitely will return!
My wife and I celebrated a wedding anniversary. Our waiter took time to bring us a desert with Happy Anniversary on it. He over heard us mentioning it to the people at the table next to us. Little things like that go a long way. Definitely will return and tell more people about the Great experience and Great view.
This used to be a place with a great view, but only so-so food. No more! Now the food is wonderful, too. The service is perfect, the view remains stellar, lovely piano music- a memorable experience all around. Very professional with gifts from the chef to start, and from the waiter to finish!
Tip: ask for a window table, and order the lobster (delicious).
I was with my sister and all was perfect. Just to expensive the coffe (7 dollars...), but so so nice. And of course a BEAUTIFUL view.
The restaurant is lively and very urbane. A special place high above the congestion of Columbus Circle and a nice place for a special evening. Live music added to the ambience. I had requested a table for three by the windows but we ended up seated at the far end of the space, away from the view. It felt like a cul de sac and we could not hear the live music, which was a bit of a disappointment. Service was excellent, attentive and our waiter was very charming. The food was fine, although both salmon and chicken were over cooked. Desserts were excellent. The bombolini in particular. Wine selection was good. Not sure I would go back, but we enjoyed the evening.
Had an out of town guest, and as always Robert never disappoints! It’s a perfect combination of wonderful ambience, an incredible view of Columbus circle, with exquisitely prepared meals.
Everything perfect from location, Service, food ... window table was awesome.... views are great, drinks, main course, complimentary stuff, coffee, dessert are excellent... service impeccable ! I will surely cone back. The transition from late afternoon to night lights outside is amazing.
Me and my wife had a great tine!
Great restaurant with a great ambience and amazing service!
Obvio reservé para estar junto a la ventana pero no me dieron mesa, los que estaban por la ventana ni siquiera veían afuera por lo que deberían preguntar si quieres estar junto a la ventana. El servicio pésimo, la comida mala. Hubiera ido a otro restaurante. Arrepentida.
Wonderful brunch. Food was delicious and only exceeded by the superb service. We were celebrating a birthday and they serprised us with a personalized birthday treat. Highly recommend and will return.
The best dining experience I have ever had for brunch. Ian my waiter was extremely knowledgeable and gave me the best dining experience ever. Food was amazing the view is amazing this place blew my mind!
Brunch at Robert is a consistent experience: fun music, grand views, excellent food and cocktails, and lacking service. I always leave thinking it was their loss because we would have ordered/spent more if we saw our server more but I imagine somebody has crunched the numbers and figured out the magic formula because return I do. Both quantity and quality of dishes are wonderful, as it the presentation. Every plate that comes out announces there is something special for you. The live jazz is a great treat and the band is in a far corner by the host stand and not near tables so music doesn't overwhelm your experience or your conversation. Don't be in a rush and manage your expectations, and Robert will deliver for you.
Had a splendid birthday brunch for a friend! The service was impeccable, cocktails and food were wonderful!
ROMANTIC RESTAURANT, WITH AMAZING FOOD AND SPECTACULAR VIEWS
Since i ate in this outstanding restaurant for the first time in 2013, it became one of my favorite spot in NY
: the view, the design, the food, the service, everything is so amazing. Try the brunch , jazz music and central park incredible view!
Simply wonderful, the food was delicious and the view is unique
I was very disappointed with my experience at Robert. Although the restaurant and views are beautiful the food was not. I ordered the salmon burger which had a very fishy taste. I sent it back and got the tortellini which was average and seemed like it was microwaved. Great place for a drink but definitely not the food!
Robert never ceases to impress. We make it a point to return here each time we’re in New York. The staff is very attentive but not overly so and the food is always amazing. The gorgeous views are just a huge bonus!
The food and service were excellent, and the view overlooking Columbus Circle and Central Park is stunning. Too pricey for an everyday meal, but we'll definitely be back for a special occasion.
We love this restaurant and try to visit when in NYC. As always, the service was wonderful. We had to reschedule twice due to airline delays and each time the staff handled our delays gracefully. We asked for and were given a window seat — always inspiring. The food this time was a little uneven, perhaps due more to personal taste than to objective standards. The chef's offering at the start of a small taste of ceviche was excellent, and the mozzarella and tomato appetizer was perfect, but the main course of scallops and tiger shrimp was oddly and unexpectedly flavored. The waiter had been unable to explain what the sauce was made of, so I went in not quite knowing what to expect. Since there was a birthday in our party, there was a lovely scripted birthday dessert plate with a candle and two little cakes. Very nice. I will certainly come again, but will be more careful in ordering the main course.
Absolutely loved it and can't wait to return
Fabulous restaurant, just book it and go!
Located on the 9th floor of the Museum of Arts and Design, Robert is a very modern, chic, dining experience.
My wife and I shared the burrata appetizer: sweet tomatoes, creamy cheese, and balsamic glazed crostinis. Surprisingly large and tasty.
I had the branzino and my wife had the Scottish Salmon: very fresh, perfectly cooked and (at least my fish) blended exquisitely with the sauce, roasted tomatoes, and potatoes. They made the wagyu sliders with just the buns and meat for our son, no condiments and no garnish, perfect! He ate everything on the plate.
For dessert we ordered the molten chocolate cake. It took a fair amount of time to cook. We thought this was a good thing, meaning our cake was being baked to order. Our waiter came out and apologized for the wait, apparently the cake cracked during plating and a new one had to be baked. Completely unsolicited, when our cake did arrive, our waiter dropped off three mini cheese cakes and the chef delivered a lemon meringue bar. Needless to say, we were flabbergasted- all three were terrific.
Definitely our favorite meal during our latest trip to NYC. We will definitely be back.
Nice view and polite stuff. The restaurant was semi full but still the service was slow. We ordered duck, pork, and scallops for our main dishes. No question was asked on how we would like our dishes, e.g., rare, medium, or well done. The duck was rare. We asked our waiter to take it back and have it cooked further, which he did, but even after this extra cooking time, the duck was bloody in the middle. The pork was undercooked with some raw parts in the center. We did not stay for dessert.
It’s a beautiful spot. Best view there is of Columbus a circle and the park.
Food was overpriced. Server was rude. Only good thing is view and art.
Robert is one of my favorite places in the city to eat any meal. Lunch, brunch, dinner it’s always fantastic, the service is impeccable, the food is excellent.....and what a view!
The location and decor of this restaurant is superb.
Food and service were great, partial view of Central Park was interesting. I cannot deny the fact the food is a little pricey, as I can’t deny my brunch experience was fantastic.
There are few places as charming and stylish as Robert.
Very nice peaceful. Decoration and asthmatic was amazing!!!!
Beautiful view with excellent service and delicious food.
I went with my dad for his birthday and couldn't be a better choice!
Perfect setting, extraordinary service, tasty food: all in all a wonderful time!
Excellent meal, fantastic service and amazing flexibility from the team to accommodate our group.
Our waiter was excellent and made the night most pleasant for us. We had a window table and the view was gorgeous. Great place for a family reunion - thank you!
