Robert Ratings and Reviews
This is one of our very favorite restaurants in NYC. The combination of flavors always work even if it's something I would never think to pair. Every dish is cooked perfectly from appetizers to dessert. Cute trendy decor but you can't beat the window seats for a pretty view of Columbus Circle & Central Park
Everything was good, not spectacular. For unknown to us reasons, we didn't get any tasting appetizers and after dinner treats from chef like two tables next to us got. Guess, not everyone is special at Robert's these days. Even thou, they used to. Also ordered tea and had to remind and wait for some time. Service was far from top notch.
I enjoyed a birthday lunch for 2. Robert has an amazing view of Columbus Circle and Central Park. The service was wonderful and they never rushed us. The food was tasty although missed lunch and it was a light menu. We had the cheese plate...yumm! Soup and pasta. All was delicious. The mini cheesecake bite sample on the house was a surprise with a candle. Our waiter and support team were friendly and efficient. Will definitely be back!
Roberts always does something exceptional! This time, I bungled my Open Table reservation, which showed up as 5 guests instead of 6. No problem, Roberts staff quickly accommodated us -- and then one guest came with another person, so we were 7. Again, Roberts staff recognized and remedied the situation so quickly that it was barely noticeable. Much appreciated for a business meal! Then there is the food -- the FABULOUS food!!! Sea scallops done to perfection, with a unique twist on mashed potatoes and brussels sprouts. The sorbet -- my heavens! -- I wanted to lick the bowl! Roberts is the BEST!!!
We had reservations for a while, for a window view. We received that. The server was great, but the food was not warm. One of the entrees was severely undercooked per the order. The head of the service, came and retrieved the order and had it recooked. Other than that small mixup, it was fine.
Out of town friend visiting, so came here for the view and good food reviews. Sad we couldn't get the window table request we'd made, but the service was great and the food delicious. Tomato caprese sandwich and salad, tomato soup with grilled cheese were super fresh. Dessert of sweet potato cheesecake was subtle and great. Chocolate cake absolutely perfect. Would still recommend even if you can't get the window seats.
We requested a window table. The host said I have an hour to sit on the corner. 15 minutes before our ticking clock the waiter wanted to move us. Now, there was a table next to us with better view had no customer facing the window. If you manage things better, you could have given us the table that was empty.
As a business owner, a guest with his wife, I think you manage things poorly.
Finally, not a place to return to. Arrogance tend to make your customers look elsewhere. New York is full of good restaurants with better view and definitely better hostesses!
I found Robert while planning a recent trip to Manhattan with my husband. It looked nice online and had great reviews and I'm so glad we made reservations and called ahead to get on the list for a window seat. This was an amazing restraunt for; the views, the food, and the service...highly recommend for a nice grown up evening out!! We will be back next trip to the city💜
