Robert Ratings and Reviews
Second time here. Location is wonderful with views over Columbus Circle. Vibrant atmosphere and cool decor. Food is good but it's just not quite there. Some dishes are trying too hard with too many competing flavours (poached pear salad) and others were just underwhelming and seemed to have the wrong pairing of ingredients such as scallops and citrus mash potato which you couldn't taste the citrus in at all. There are better places for great food in NY.
Lovely place to eat. We were given best table for the view looking straight up Broadway . Waitress was very friendly and advised us on food selection and places to visit in New York. We had soup for starters, duck and salmon for mains with banana mouse for dessert. All well presented and delicious.
Food and service was top notch. The room itself Is not that comfortable. Noticed that patrons were dressed as though going to a fast food joint. The greeters on the 9th floor were not what you would expect from a high end place. Very sleepy and looked as though they wanted to be elsewhere. All in all we would go back but we expected somewhat more of an upscale experience
Party of 5 friends visited Robert NYC for my birthday dinner! The food was amazing, everyone loved their meals and the drinks were really great! I had the lamb chops (def some of the best I've had) ! The chef sent over a complimentary tasting item and our waiter was so attentive and kind!
I would've loved to have the view from the window seating (those book out weeks in advance, so If that's a preference book early!) but even without sitting at the window, the ambience was nice.
I would come back and dine at Robert any time the opportunity presents itself! Highly recommend :)
Each of us had a different main course, rack of lamb, branzino and moqueca, and all of us raved about the preparation. For desert we enjoyed one very generous order of bombolini . Our waiter was very attentive but not intrusive. The decor and the view are spectacular. We will be back.
We came from Boston to celebrate my B-Day and choose Robert restaurant. I asked for the window table and we were lucky to get one. The View is amazing and the stuff is welcoming. The food was delicious and very reasonable price. Overall great experience. Would definitely recommend this place for the special occasion.
The reception from coat check on the ground floor to seating in the bar and later at a table with stunning views was cordial and professional. The same goes for table service. You might think everything is all about high style with stunningly contemporary design elements, but food presentation complements components of the space. The wild mushroom pastry appetizer was flaky and tasty. The lamb chop main course was cooked perfectly medium rare and was delicious. Raves were heard for the lobster. Desserts are magical and all look and taste out of the ordinary. This is perfect as a special occasion experience! Guaranteed to wow.
Picked this place to celebrate my anniversary and it was one of the best dinning experiences I've ever had. The staff is attentive, professional and passionate about creating an amazing night for us. They worked with me on a special surprise for my girlfriend and even offered a complimentary sample from the chef. The food was superb and pretty filling. I recommend their mashed potatoes and fresh in house made ice cream. INCREDIBLE place, and I hope to be back soon!
Robert liegt am Columbus Circle in New York.
This is one of our very favorite restaurants in NYC. The combination of flavors always work even if it's something I would never think to pair. Every dish is cooked perfectly from appetizers to dessert. Cute trendy decor but you can't beat the window seats for a pretty view of Columbus Circle & Central Park
