Annual visit. Need to see their superb mussels back on the menu!

Place is absolutely amazing with the most breathtaking view of Columbus circle, Central Park and Nothern Manhattan. Service was was exceptional. I took my girlfriend for her birthday but we didn’t have reservations for window table. the hostess accommodated us and also gave her a personalized dessert with her name and a candle.

Terrific as always. Just wish we had had a window view!

We were treated like kings and had the most amazing meal with an amazing view. The waiter was very knowledgable and was able to advise on what could be adapted as I am ceoliac.

This being my first time at Robert restaurant, I was pleasantly impressed by it. The food, room, view and staff were great. I took my daughter here for her birthday and she too loved it. I’m looking forward to coming back soon.

We went cuz it was recommended and for the view. There's a huge video display playing right over our heads, which was blessedly silent but utterly artsy and distracting. Unnecessary. The food was fine, but overpriced. Chicken way too salty. I thought it was a fine but unremarkable meal. And expensive. And, at one point, the waiter heard me say my food was too salty but didn't offer to change it. Not what I would expect from an upscale place. Not going back.

One of the most memorable dining experiences we’ve ever had. The view is incredible. The food was fresh delicious and perfect size portions. The service was friendly and professional. The three piece jazz ensemble elevated the experience to even a higher level.

Great ambience. I celebrated my anniversary there. They were very accommodating with my requests and we even got the window seats with a fantastic view of Columbus circle.

We went late around 8. We had to stop someone to get service. Took 25 mins to get a drink and they came out wrong. Funny thing about the drinks ordered a vodka martini with blue cheese olives and we were informed we had to pay $3 extra per olive, of course the drink itself was like $22 to begin with. Appetizers actually came before drinks they were decent. Asked for gluten free bread, actually got an Udi’s hamburger bun. Dinner came one of us ordered a filet, it came out with the right temperature inside but the outside was so burnt it was hard tough and not edible. No one came to ask how our meal was finally waiter came over and we explained the situation. They offered to replace it but the rest of the table had already finished. When they brought the bill they did take the steak off but not the incorrect drinks they brought. We wound up stopping at a different restaurant on our way home to get a steak dinner, it was much better. All in all there are better places in NYC than this.

The Robert staff was outstanding again. I met with a friend for lunch, whom I hadn't seen for over 10 yrs and when I mentioned this to our staff, they brought us a nice surprise - a dessert with a nicely inscripted 'Long time no see'. Such a wonderful touch and made us feel special. To top it off, we ended up ocupying the table for over 3 hrs and the Robert did not rush us at all. We enjoyed our conversation at a window table overlooking Columbus Circle and Central Park for all this time. It is great ambiance, and it is quiet. At peak hours it is moderate at the most. I have been there a lot especially with out of town guests and I will continue to go! Thank you Robert!

Very average food. Beautiful view and excellent service. There are so many restaurants with better food.

I would think that since we had a reservation, we would be sitted in a better spot but I guess it's not a priority. I enjoyed the hazelnut napoleon very much. Will definitely go back to try other seafood meal on the menu.

The restaurant had great views overlooking Columbus Circle. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced for this type of establishment. I would recommend requesting a seat next to the window when making the reservation.

Food was not as good as expected. Lack of flavors. Service was ok. Nice view of the park and the music was nice.

Outstanding service

I loved everything about this meal which I booked for my Fiancées birthday. The only reason I have reduced the ambiance star is due to them allowing dogs in the restaurant. This is not normal practice in the UK in an establishment of a similar calibre, however this did not distract too much from my meal.

Always gorgeous views and delightful service. Food decent,too, especially those fritters!

Overpriced smallest portions I have ever seen. Salad was a joke 2 beets and some goat cheese for $16 but plate looks beautiful,artistic but you can’t eat it!

LOVE the view and decor.
Wine list was short/expensive? Nothing much under $100.
Service was spotty, didn't refill water-or refresh wine regularly.
With a little more attention paid to patrons could be great.

blackcurrant (cassis) sorbet is superb! tuna nicoise is very good, but the tuna wasn't cooked a wonderfully as in the past. kind of gray on the outside instead of being seared.

'Robert' was, as always, a lovely dining experience. I was unavoidably late in arriving for lunch to meet my friend, but the restaurant still held my table and honored my window request. My only negative was that the food was too salty.

I recommend with reservations about the place.. seating by the window is beautiful, the rest of the restaurant is not.

This was our 3rd visit to Robert and each time we have had a delicious meal and excellent service! We will continue to come back when we visit New York City! Thanks for a great experience!

Our lunch at Robert on November 16, 2019 was outstanding. The view, ambiance and service could not be better. My companions and I enjoyed our relaxed lunch conversation and would definitely return. My bacon cheeseburger was cooked to perfection and the fries were crisp and light. We ordered the ricotta pancake with berries to share as dessert. While it tasted good, there was no magic. I did not detect the ricotta in the pancake and would have enjoyed more berries. Overall it was a fantastic experience and I look forward to returning.

Great location, great ambiance, great food, beautiful and interesting setting

Fantastic venue from location, view, decor, ambiance service and of course food. We were given a window table which was a great surprise. Loved everything about our dining experience.

Our waiter made the night. kudos to whoever he was. Great night.
