Very nice place for talking in small company. Good food
This was our 3rd visit to Robert and each time we have had a delicious meal and excellent service! We will continue to come back when we visit New York City! Thanks for a great experience!
Our lunch at Robert on November 16, 2019 was outstanding. The view, ambiance and service could not be better. My companions and I enjoyed our relaxed lunch conversation and would definitely return. My bacon cheeseburger was cooked to perfection and the fries were crisp and light. We ordered the ricotta pancake with berries to share as dessert. While it tasted good, there was no magic. I did not detect the ricotta in the pancake and would have enjoyed more berries. Overall it was a fantastic experience and I look forward to returning.
Great location, great ambiance, great food, beautiful and interesting setting
Fantastic venue from location, view, decor, ambiance service and of course food. We were given a window table which was a great surprise. Loved everything about our dining experience.
Our waiter made the night. kudos to whoever he was. Great night.
Food and cocktails was good. Amazing view. Asked to have a window table for my wife’s birthday but all of them were guaranteed to someone else . No birthday cake or candle as well ;-)
Very good restaurant, pleasant ambiance, quiet, tasteful decors and excellent food and service
nice ambiance, food very good, service ok but could have definitely been better, as our server had a couple of larger tables so we were sort of left waiting. Other than that very nice.
I've eaten there a number of times before and it has always been great, what was a surprise, that when speaking to the waiter and I mentioned I was a veteran ( and showed them proof) they gave me a 3 coarse complimentary dinner. a Very special surprise.
A special thank you to them for showing their support to Veterans.
Excellent view from the top. Food is exquiste! Service was top, very attentive.
One of our 'go-to' spots for visitors to NYC. Not only great views but also very good food, nice service and prices that are short of the stratosphere. The menu is not huge but nice and varied and the wine list is good with options at the lower end. But, the views...............!!
Everything was amazing!!! The food, the view, the staff, the bathrooms, the atmosphere, and there was even a piano player (we went on a Sunday). They were even kind enough to find us a window seat last minute. And added a 'Happy Birthday' on our dessert for my mother's birthday (which we had not told them in advance). The price was also very reasonable for how outstanding the food was. I will definitely be back!
Totally impressed with everything!! Service, view, food, atmosphere.....was a perfect night to celebrate our engagement!!! Thank you.

Robert was a great location for a birthday dinner. Beautiful view at night and kind staff!
We were lucky enough to get a window seat so that made our visit to Robert worth it as it looks over Central Park in a lovely way. The food is fine. Wine selection is impressive but overpriced. Great place to take friends visiting from out of town!
As usual, lunch at Robert was wonderful. We had a window table overlooking Columbus Circle.
It was my friends Birthday so they presented a dessert with a candle and "Happy Birthday" written on the plate. We both tried new dishes (instead of our usual salmon burger) and they were delicious - crab cakes and ravioli,
Great atmosphere, interesting menu, food very well prepared, cooked and presented, professional and kind service. Location is cool and view is fantastic. Price reasonable, in line with overall quality. Loved it.
WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE! IT WAS MY SECOND TIME THERE IN 6 MONTHS, AND EACH TIME IT WAS GREAT - the food, the ambience and service.
I love this place. It has a fantastic view of Time Warner building, Columbus Circle water fountain and Central Park. Whether it's summer, winter or fall, the view over Central Park is awesome. The ambience and service at Robert is impeccable. You feel super comfortable and the noise level is low. Low enough to have a comfortable conversation. I highly recommend it.
So you come to Robert for the view. Amazing floor to ceiling views of Central Park. The tree leaves were changing when we went so it was especially beautiful. The food was ok, the wine was less than ok, the service could have been friendlier but they were professional. Made the reservation but the table they offered was in the tight corner, squeezed. The alternative table was close to the windows - it was not what I had hoped/expected but it was ok. My chicken was a bit dry, the soup was a bit bland but again it was a bit better than ok. For the price, the food was in line. The experience here is the view and if you set you food expectations to ok but not exceptional, you'll have a great time. Excellent experience to take out of town visitors.
excellent place, food a d view
The flavors, the presentation, and the atmosphere were all top drawer. It was a perfect place to entertain out of town cousins.
The food here is quite good. The prix fixe is a good deal. They were nice enough to bring a second dessert with a candle and happy birthday written in chocolate as I was taking my friend for her birthday. The only disappointing parts were that I requested in advance a table by the window, but upon arrival was told they were all taken. The other was that it took forever to get my friend's coat awkward standing there waiting for someone to help us. And the restaurant is still a bit funny in that they've kept up their miami vice decor.
Lovely surroundings and service. The appetisers and deserts were excellent but the main course was less good. 2 of our party elected for the scallop and shrimp dish. This was served on cold plates and the shrimp was overcooked and mushy. We did alert our server who just said oh I will tell chef. There was no apology or offer to cook some fresh shrimp. In a restaurant in this price bracket I would have expected better. After deserts the server rapidly brought the check and didn’t ask whether we wanted any tea or coffee or other drinks.
The restaurant came highly recommended and it met all of my expectations. The view from our window table overlooking Central Park and Broadway was spectacular. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. I will definitely return upon my next visit to NYC.
Beautiful views, delicious food, phenomenal service... celebrating my mother's birthday here was a wonderful experience. Highly recommend!
Excelente!!! Comida deliciosa! Atención increíble!
The Robert is a wonderful place, great ambiance and phenomenal mix of all types.
The view is awesome and the food is really good.
Love going there!
Limited table with window view, but great service. Dessert is good. Truffle risotto is under seasoned
Robert brunch was fantastic as usual! Great view, food, and amazing service.
We went to Robert for a birthday celebration for a friend, and had a wonderful time! The atmosphere and service as well as the food were all excellent. We were seated at a window table with a beautiful view of Central Park, highly recommended!
The restaurant is pleasant enough, has a relaxed atmosphere. The food unfortunately was just average. The mushroom soup was flavorless and was presented with a sloppy bunch of cilantro on top. The beef sliders were hot and tasty but overcooked. The salmon was very thick and seriously unevenly cooked. The crust was great and represented the only seasoned component of this entree, which otherwise swam in a layer of butter and 2 thin slices of mushroom. The octopus appetizer could have been more charred and the bass also lacked seasoning and was bland.
The bread basket had 2 pieces of crust-free soft bread. and could definitely benefit from an upgrade.
Overall this is an average experience. You get the impression that the kitchen chef and staff are competent but have little energy or passion to push their food up a notch.
Elegant, airy atmosphere, great view of Central Park, a healthy, thoughtful menu, and glimpses of the wonderful Museum of Arts and Design on the way there.
If at time warner for event good place to dine. They however, did not acknowledge we ate there.
Robert is a delight! The ambiance and understated elegance of the restaurant compliments the views and the open feel. Service is amazing and the food is terrific. I can't imagine a nicer place to spend time enjoying a meal with friends and family.
Robert has a fabulous view. It is not big, but feels intimate. There was live music quietly playing in the background.
We had a special table right next to the window. The view is exciting. Our meal was very good and the waiter was efficient.
Robert provided just the kind of peaceful evening we were looking for. We will definitely return.
