Lovely. Great view, nice vibe and a seat by the window. Perfect.
We love it here! We go for special occasions, usually.... if you want a window table, make sure to make reservations well in advance. Food is delicious, service is beyond accommodating, and atmosphere is lovely. All around great experience! And not overly priced to go for non-celebratory meals.
Portions are really large.
Great meal, great service, beautiful location.
Delicious food, beautiful view, great staff..I go there every time I visit New York.
Food was great and Ivan provides outstanding service!
The view is spectacular and the food acceptable for a restaurant of this caliber.
Brought my husband for his intimate birthday dinner, the service was amazing and the food delicious ☺️❤️
Hidden gem in Columbus Circle! Outstanding views, good food and moderately priced. Loved it.
MY WIFE AN I HAD A VERY NICE EXPERIENCE FOR HER BIRTHDAY. GREAT LOCATION. GREAT VIEW. GREAT AMBIANCE. GREAT FOOD. JOSE, OUR SERVER, WAS VERY HELPFUL WITH MANY RECOMMENDATIONS FROM THE MENU. THE SERVICE WAS FINE. PETER, THE HOST, WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL.
Robert is great. Service was a bit slow, we were sitting for some time without attracting server’s attention.
View is amazing and food was good
Great restaurant, food was high quality and portion size was generous (but be careful with this).
The lobster pasta was one of the best cooked dishes we ate in New York (and we went to quite a few 'high end' places during our trip). The table next to us arrived part way through our meal with two children and a nanny we though the children might be a bit noisy but they were fine instead the parents had a massive row in Italian and English. So a great meal and a show!
Even on a dreary, overcast day, Robert was a bright and cheerful space. The service was excellent and the food superb.
Excellent location. Staff was great especial mention to Ana and Jose. Very good food. Thank you.
Perfect! Caring staff and delicious food- gorgeous view!!
Overall we had a great time. Food was great. Only thing the service was a little slow. I do not know if it was our waiter - not attentive. A table near us was seated after us but got their bread basket first - we had to ask for ours.
Awesome views and brunch was good. Very comfortable and enjoyable!
Our first time there. We will definitely return. Food was excellent as was service.
Delicious and definitely will come back!
Always love Robert but I think it is time to add more organic food and for brunch green juices or smoothies.
Our server was Joe and he was an absolute delight! The view over Columbus Circle was incredible, especially at night. The food was fantastic in both taste and presentation. Highly recommend the Wagyu sliders as an appetizers. Most dishes are between 30$-40$. All in all, one of the best places for the value in Manhattan!
great for date night with great food and views. The service was very good.
Absolutely fabulously. Food amazing, Joe, our waiter, superb. Beautiful room.
The view is wonderful but only if you get a table by the windows, which you need to reserve for three weeks in advance. The staff is very kind and accommodating, great service, however the food is underwhelming, tasteless, under seasoned and just plain bad. We had 3 courses and there was nothing special about them, which make them overpriced. I would not recommend this restaurant despite the great service, it does not make up for the terrible food.
Our son and the woman he lives with decided it was time for us to meet her parents, who live in Philadelphia. Robert was the perfect setting for us to entertain them on this special occasion - elegant setting, beautiful view, delicious food and drink. Not an inexpensive meal, but we hit a home run. Everyone had a great time!
We were thrilled to be shown to a window table as per my request as this was a birthday lunch. Delightful experience, great service and food... and with a view!!
I took my partner here for her birthday and the experience was one we'll never forget.
We were accommodated with a window table which was beautiful, especially considering I'd only booked 2 days before.
The food was sublime. Many restaurants with prices in this category skimp on their portions but the serving sizes were absolutely perfect. My partner was also given birthday cake bites with a candle on the plate to commemorate the occasion.
The ambience of the restaurant couldn't be more perfect. Between the views of Central Park, Columbus Circle, as well as the dim lighting and piano playing in the background, Robert is the quintessential New York experience. One that these two Australian travellers will never forget.
So firstly the staff were exceptional. There was a mistake in our order but I'm only saying this because they fixed it immediately and totally to satisfaction. Food was origional and varied. From starters to dessert. Unique cocktails. Lived the decor. Thank you for a wonderful anniversary dinner.
Great. Give good. Well prepared. Great window view. Terrific service. Can’t be much better
Robert is a great experience. Great views, nice menu selection, nice wine list. Food is outstanding with great portions. A great value for the quantity and quality of the food, and the location.
Our request for a table with a view was honored. Service was excellent and friendly. Food was cooked to perfection and totally delicious. The atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant. We had a wonderful evening!
Most gracious, welcoming and delicious environment for an early lunch.
Window table, live music and view made this worthwhile, otherwise not.
Service was sometimes condescending, dismissive and inconsistent. Checked on us infrequently and took a very long time to get drinks - longer than to receive food.
Hostesses showed favoritism in seating. We had a reservation, were on time and dressed very appropriately (as many others seemed not to be). Food was very average - frittata was flavorless. Mushroom soup was bizarre. French toast was by far the best item ordered at our table.
For context purposes, we have vacationed in Manhattan over 20 times and travel domestically and internationally on a regular basis.
The food is very good and the service depends on the particular server. But if you go for the view, you must be aware that requests are honored in a non-transparent manner. Therfore, you should call ahead of time to find out if management is prepared to honor your request. You should also be aware that they fit a party of 5 in a square 4-person table.
a thoroughly appealing place for dinner and some musical accompaniment. One problem: food wasn't hot when served.
An excellent choice for a relaxing or romantic meal. Great piano music and wonderful service. My husband had the lamb shank and I had the pork tenderloin - both outstanding. The experience is definitely worth the price!
Always a WOW for meeting own-of-towners for dinner or drinks. Food is reliably good and done in modern preparations. Many classic cocktails that have an updated twist. The service is professional and the ambiance along with the piano and bass performers makes the setting a real classic without being intrusive to conversation. The view speaks for itself.
Couldn’t have been a nicer choice for out of town guests. We especially appreciated that we never felt rushed. The staff gave us plenty of time to visit. The view is obviously outstanding, but so was the food. Very nice indeed.
Amazing food, service and ambiance, our waiter was super friendly and give us a pro service, thank you Joe!!
Will come back again soon
Excelente lugar, ambientacion y comida.
