   I wish there was an option of more than 5 stars, as the restaurant delivered above our highest expectations. And…the piano player provided wonderful background music. Prices were, in today’s NYC world, quite reasonable.

   On a friend’s recommendation, we went for appetizers and wine with a beautiful view of Central Park. Enjoyed crab cake with Thai slaw and avocado lettuce wraps.

   Service, Food, View: amazing. But… Two days before Mother’s Day this restaurant called to confirm. They also announced that the price was pre fix at $115 per person. I nearly cancelled but with little time to make a change i said I would keep it. The person on the phone said: you made your reservation on line and it is clearly stated. But made it on open table where it is not mentioned. As a matter of face the menus beyond the standard menu are from last year at this time. So please… clean up your mess.

   Excellent seafood, very high quality protein! Interesting composed dishes. Chef added a 3rd avocado wrap so the 3 of us could share the App. View is terrific, very relaxing, live piano a nice touch.

   Always a delight. The salmon on a bagel is two meals for sure, as well as fresh and delicious.

   Robert is one of our favorite restaurants, so we chose it as the place to celebrate the engagement of two of our dearest young friends. We were thrilled with our choice. The menu selections were varied and excellent -- one of our friends is a vegetarian -- and the wine choices were good and fairly priced (for New York). We had asked for a window table, and although we were initially disappointed not to be seated at a window overlooking Central Park, we were pleased to dine in a quieter section next to a window overlooking 7th Avenue. Everything we ate was delicious. The portions were appropriate size and the ingredients were wonderfully fresh. With our desserts the server brought chocolate-covered fruits on a plate with "Congratulations" written on it -- the perfect ending to a delightful evening. Also, we used an Open Table award (I had cashed in my points), and the transaction went smoothly.

   We attended Colbert and it ran very long. Luckily they told us b4 they took away cellphones. Robert was very accommodating and moved back our reservation. They let us sit in the lounge until a window table opened. The squid ink pasta and branzino were both excellent and a good value. Everything v nice. Reluctantly my guest agreed - he didn’t want to go because he suspected the food would be overpriced because of the amazing view. Thanks!

    The service was outstanding. When a nut allergy was mentioned, the complimentary dessert offering was changed to another selection that was nut free.
