Very disappointing. Service was incredibly slow, they gave our plates to the wrong table so we were waiting for over 45 mins for food. In the mean time, no water was served, so we were just dehydrated and hungry. When the food came, it was bland and the clams were gritty. No one offered anything for the long wait except for a sorry. Also had utensils dropped on me as well. Staff seems messy and inexperienced, it was aggravating watching cooks just stand there doing nothing while we were starving with no food and hearing the waitress apologize to everyone all night because this restaurant couldnt get it together. We wont be going back again.

Although the food was pretty good, the service was not on par. We ordered an appetizer and our main meal wasnt brought out until we finished it (which was not told to us until we asked why it was taking so long).

The pastas were way too hard. The sauce for both of our plates had a very weak taste. The crème brûlée was uncooked and there was a hair in it. We definitely won’t be going back there.

My reservation was for 545pm on the patio and they obviously overbooked and had my table inside in the back. I had to wait until 630pm to be seated on the patio even though I had a reservation for the patio.

Overall, we had very pleasant experience and definitely will visit again. Only thing I can add for improvement, to be aware of wine temperature served to customers. Our wine was little too warm, I have to admit, warmer than room temperature. Also, it is a very nice touch receiving complimentary Olives at the table. It gives warm, welcoming and authentic feel to customers. Cant wait to try more dishes on the menu. See you soon again.

Main issue was the reservation process through Open Table. The place is very small and gets warm inside so specially asked for patio seat in reservation request. To get this reservation, I needed to book an earlier spot than I would have liked but thought it was a fair trade off to get a patio seat on a nice evening. The reservation was accepted and no correspondence came back indicating there were no patio seats available. When we showed up (on time) we were told we could only sit inside near the hot kitchen even though they acknowledged the reservation asked for a patio seat. It was a hot and noisy dinner. The food is decent but not for the cost. There are a lot of other restaurants in the area so recommend that people go elsewhere to a place that keeps its commitments.

Was very cramped on the patio, servers were constantly bumping into us. My Osso Buco was slightly over cooked on the outer edges and didn’t present well but tasted great near the centre (3/5) My gf’s Roche Roche was tasteless she said and only when powdered cheese (not freshly grated, -1 automatically) did it have some flavour (2/5). Our antipasto (Beef Carpaccio and sangrias) and service actually saved the dining experience. Overall Robba da Matti is good for drinks and antipasto but fell short for their mains and what Italian restaurant uses powdered parmigiana :(

Robba da Matti offer delicious traditional fare with a flair. The space is cozy — inside you can watch the open kitchen, or outside enjoy a nice spring evening on the patio. We had the farfalle (delicious meat sauce, pasta perfectly al dente) and the mushroom risotto (creamy with woody flavor). Just a lovely evening.

The food here has always been stellar, and the rebranding has not changed that even the tiniest bit. I love Italy more than anywhere else in the world, and the food here comes the closest to something you would get in a tiny restaurant off of the piazza that I have found in Vancouver yet.

This is a real gem in Yaletown. You can get good and authentic Italian food for a reasonable price, a very distinct quality compared to the usual price/value in the neighbourhood. It looks and feels (I am pretty sure it also is...) like a family restaurant, the pasta is excellent across the board, the meats and appetizers are truly Italian and original. Service is fast and friendly. Go eat there, you won't regret it. Ah, the wine list is good, too!

Diners should know this is a tiny restaurant sandwiched between two larger places. That's both good and not so good - good if you want a smaller, more personal place. But not so good if you are expecting a more upscale ambiance. The tables are squished together with little room to pass between even for staff. Very casual atmosphere in furniture and decor. We got put in a table for 2 directly underneath the cooking staff counter and in the path of all the servers. Food and service was good but the value wasn't there. I would only recommend for a casual dinner and not for any special occasion.

This has been a favorite restaurant for my wife and I for 2 years now however last visit noticed that everything took a significant downturn. The main courses lacked flavour and were too simple in terms of ingredients. Not a single vegetable in the mix just pasta and a sauce. Service was clumsy and slow. Bought one the more expensive wines and it was only so so. Appies were amazing as always but everything else was subpar.

Made reservations 2 weeks ahead. When arriving only one table left, next to entrance and against table of other diners. No place to hang up coats. I ordered Osso Buco that had a strange taste and were served on a bed of mushy risotto. My wife ordered Rigatoni alla Primavera that sat in olive oil...Very, very disappointing. Later, when we arrived home we realized that we were overcharged for the pasta ($25 vs $19 on the menu..)
