The food did taste good not excellent or amazing. The ingredients were fresh and this was apparent in their food. However, the price for was far in excess for what you received. The antipasti dishes were definitely overpriced: $33 for bread and deli meat/cheese or $9 for bread with herbed olive oil and tomatoes. The main dishes were also overpriced: $22-$25 for pasta!!!!
always good atmosphere, great food and great service. It was a little humid today so the heat got to us inside a but but other than that always a great time.
Inside is VERY small, hot and noisy - eat outside if you can. We’re seated in the back of the restaurant, beside stored food/furniture and right beside the stove. Nobody else was inside the restaurant - tables were available outside but was told they were “fully booked”. The outside tables remained empty the entire time we were there. We ultimately did manage to convince them to move us to the front of the restaurant (still inside) beside the window. Still very hot, but much better. Food was good but feel that common sense should prevail when it comes to deciding where to seat customers.
Italian restaurant and they were sold out on menu items on a weekend dining and customers weren’t able to order some of the menu items. Being an previous restauranteur I call this being poor management . Noticed many patrons were also disappointed not being able to order some of the Menu items and were told they were sold out . How can you run out of fresh mozzarella ( Burrata) in an Italian restaurant ?
The food is mediocre at best. And I understand due to COVID short staffing perhaps was an issue therefore that could be the reason for extremely poor service . Had to wait at least 20 minutes until recognized by the waitress. The reservation ment really nothing because we still had to wait well over half an hour before seated.
Perhaps they should visit some other Italian restaurants in the immediate neighborhood and find out more about being an Italian restaurant and how their food is and how their kitchen is being managed .
The restaurant is small and loud, service was terrible, they had run out of main courses, very disappointing. Would not eat there again.
My husband and I have been coming here for our anniversary for 3 years in a row now. The last previous years we were really happy with the food , and over all experience. Yesterday we went again for our anniversary and we both decided that it will be our last visit there. We did our usual date night menu, and we both ordered Spaghetti allo scoglio, and we noticed the recipe has changed ( it was drenched in too much tomatoe sauce) which It never had any tomatoe sauce in there before. The dessert as well it was not as good as it used to be. We felt rushed towards the end of our meal, there was only one waitress working outside to service all the tables on the patio, she looked stressed and was forgetful what we’ve ordered. We would only come back here again, if the food was how it used to be, and the service could be more friendlier and not being rushed out.
A simple menu but all good choices and everything is well done. Excellent wine menu and very good, attentive service.
Pasta was out of this world. Fresh. Homemade.
Best service ever!!
Truly enjoyed our dinner. We went with their date night special. Amazing food.. can't wait to go back.
After telling the waitress about my reservations for the third time, she was still able to forget and mistakenly give the table to a group of walk in customers instead, who came after my group. 45 minutes later, we finally got our table and ordered some food. Then, the same waitress proceeded to tell our group to quiet down in the outdoor patio. Please keep in mind that the entire Yaletown was buzzing on a Friday night and it was not my group that was being especially louder. Instead of asking the customer to repeat their order again, she asked another group of customers to quiet down. I have never experienced this before and I will surely not come back to this location and be waited by this waitress again.
Hadn’t been to Yaletown in years and I love this row of outdoor patios in the summer. The ambience was very nice and the service was great - very attentive. I had burrata to start which was delicious. My friend had pasta as a main - also delicious. I had osso bucco which was good but not as good as the pasta dishes. All in all a very nice evening at a good restaurant. Next time I’ll definitely have pasta! 😄
Good food, server was friendly.
Great ambiance and location, good service but very poor food.
The food was great. Really enjoyed seafood risotto.
Good food. Service could be a bit more attentive. Overall, good for a dine out experience.
Excellent food and service. Great atmosphere with nice quaint patio. You won’t be disappointed!
Had the carbonara and it was the closest pasta I’ve ever had to some i had in italy. It was amazing
Food was beyond amazing! Literally the best pasta we’ve had in Vancouver! Service could have been a bit more attentive (we had to ask for water, cutlery, the menu, etc.) but the food made up for that! Will definitely visit again the next time we’re back in the city.
The food … simply amazing. So good !!! the service.. SPECTACULAR ! We celebrated our wedding anniversary last night and we were treated to an wonderful evening. Our server was from a different location, but she made our evening special. HIGHLY recommend this wonderful little Italian delight. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️
First time here and I loved it. The staff are nice and love to engage in conversation. Food is great for the price. Patio seating is nice.
The staff was very rude and was shouting around on us and other customers. Food wasn’t even warm enough and cutlery was missing. Completely ruined my dad’s birthday, never visiting again!
Rudamentary wooden plank benches and wooden uncomfortable chairs with no cushioning. Very hard to sit on, which means we stayed a minimum of time.
Food was either too hot with alternative being too bland.
Absolutely great waitress (Pauline), food was good , would come again
Great food! Good service.
Ordered the Mushroom Risotto. First of all it came within 5 minutes of ordering which tells me it was simply slopped out of a bigger container. It was runny and tasted of fish... certainly not what I was expecting, and definitely not worth the price I paid. My partner ordered the Gnocchi and said she like it. This is an average Italian dining experience and I wouldn't go back.
Great Italian comfort food, handmade pasta. Portions are generous. Service is excellent! We love Robba da Matti Yaletown
I had lunch with my grandson, 7 years old, he loved his lobster and crab ravioli and my seafood risotto was perfection. We will be returning with the whole family!
Service was fantastic, food was incredible. Definitely a neighbourhood gem.
All the staff members were great people! Went out for my birthday dinner with a friend and the staff were amazing! Playing some old 90s and 80s hits, really bumped the mood for me and the other customers inside the restaurant. They’re service was outstanding. They know how to have fun and still be professional.
So delicious and accommodating. It’s a hidden gem
Our pasta vongole was delicious.
Our sweet Australian waitress was fun.
We'll be back.
Service was excellent. Food was good. Carpaccio was fantastic. Highly recomend even if you have high cholesterol.
Very poor service. Made reservation for patio table one week in advance and was not given a patio spot during the visit.
It was our first visit and it was a decent time. The food was good, we go the 'Date night' option which is a good deal. Service was okay, could have been better but it was very busy and the waitresses were really trying to accommodate everyone.
Great pasta. Great service.
Italian food at this price point should be damn good. And that includes the presentation, service, etc. It just was mediocre- presentation was bleh.
Not sure why this place is popular because I wouldn't go again.
great as usual.
Great food, great atmosphere, great service
Delicious food, friendly service and very good date deal for 2. 2 appetizers or one of the larger appetizers, 2 pastas, 2 deserts and a bottle of wine for $125.
