The waitstaff was exceptional and extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The food was phenomenal as well! I will be recommending this to my friends!! The chicken and waffles were perfect!
We enjoyed the food very much. Ambience was good, very nice space that I am sure would be even better in the summer with the patio. Unfortunately, they seemed to be out of a lot of items. My husband went through three drink choices before he found something he wanted that they actually had.
The food was very good and the atmosphere was nice. The music was much too loud. I appreciate a lively atmosphere, but, not when I have to shout to be heard and constantly ask waitstaff and others at my table to repeat themselves.
Our waitress was wonderful and the food was fantastic
One word describes RM Champagne Salon....AWESOME.....atmosphere, service, food and ambiance!
The food was delicious and interesting. Loved the oysters and the Champignons Flatbread had the perfect balance of ingredients and truffle oil. Loved the fire place.
Our reservation for RM Champagne was made for 7:30. We were not seated until an 75 minutes later, at 8:45. They comped our oysters which ended up costing them only $12 since they were $1 special. They did not seem to plan reservations well.
Pros: romantic, descent food, good drinks (The Left Breast was my favorite)
Cons: loud, dark (had to use my phones flashlight to read the menu, tables are too close to each other which makes it hard to have a private conversation
Great vibe, food was good
It was a great experience, but it was not private. The tables were so close together it was hard to get out to go to the restroom and leave. It was also very loud due to it being a busy night and a large amount of people in a small space. The restaurant itself was very trendy and a great experience, along with our server being very tentative.
Celebrating my daughter’s 21st Birthday. This was her pick of a place to meet. So glad, too. Everything from the cocktails at the bar, to the greeter allowing us to wait for the birthday girl before being sat (holding our table) and the server, we had a nice long relaxing dinner. Our table was directly in front of the fireplace, which we enjoyed. Made for some great pictures. The food was great. We ordered almost everything on the menu, as it’s limited - but we loved. Lots of small plates (we also threw in a few entrees). Made for the perfect group gathering. Thank you for a memorable evening. Looking forward to our next visit!
Awesome food! Great service very romantic restaurant.
Service was very slow. We sat down on our tables and it took the server/ host 20 mins to get us the menu. And then it was downhill from there - we ordered a couple of apps and bread - the bread took like 15 mins to come.
For entrees we ordered the steak frites. The steak we’d ordered was medium. We got an over done steak which was overly salty.
The peanut butter dessert was nice but was a frozen chunk of ice cream - that took a major workout to break down.
The service was below par for a restaurant in that location - the food was just nothing great.
We went for a birthday - unfortunately it wasn’t the best experience. Won’t recommend to anyone. Dine at your risk
Heavily understaffed and many of our items were slow to arrive. Would’ve been better to not waste my time with the steak.
The restaurant was cold in temperature by he windows
Our service was horrible. Between being seated and ordering of Cava, we waited about 20 minutes. Once we got our bottle, we waited another 20-25 minutes to place our order. Our server was not easy to track down during any of this. The restaurant week menu was good, though the trout was over-cooked. The best course was the first- two of us ordered the steak tartare that could've been a main.
Wonderful sparkling/red/white wine list and beers. Superb meal of Lyonnaise salad, large and tasty. Coq au vin with winter vegetables was also meaty and tasty. I loved the 3 gelotti. Highly recommended, but reservations are a must.
RM is a lovely space. but the service and food also are excellent. We will be back!
Took awhile to get seated
The food was impeccable and the staff was very friendly. It was the perfect ambiance for a date night or a catch up dinner with a friend. They didn't have our table ready for our reservation on time which was very frustrating, but they ended up providing us with a complimentary glass of champagne. Overall I was very impressed with the entire experience and will be returning.
My wife & I dined at RM Champagne this past Friday. We had eaten here on 2 separate occasions & thoroughly enjoyed our meals. When we came in we both noticed the noise level was very high. The room was packed & I believe happy hour was ending but there was something seriously wrong with the speakers in the restaurant. All you could hear was the this incessant bass beat & fuzz, NO MUSIC. It was as if you pulled up to some dude that spent $4,000.00 in stereo equipment on his car. Even with your windows rolled up you can hear the incessant bass beat. That was our soundtrack for the evening! I wish that I had brought ear plugs. If the speakers are on the fritz, then turn the damn things off.
We were seated by the windows after telling the hostess that a table right by the door was not an option. Mind you, it was a balmy 15 degrees on Friday & the wind blew in every time someone opened the door! It cut through you like a knife. Combined with the cold coming off the wall of windows, my wife & I were forced to keep our winter coats on throughout the meal. For 90 minutes we had to endure sitting on cold metal chairs while dealing with a constant barrage of cold. It was like being on a perpetual chair lift except we did not have the beauty of the mountains to distract us.
We ordered from the Restaurant Week menu & for the most part dinner was good. My wife ordered the Lobster Deviled Eggs. I had the steak tartare. Both were good. For the entre my wife picked the Trout Grenobloise & I had the Coq Au Vin. The Coq Au Vin was good but instead of Trout my wife was served salmon! Seriously, if you ran out of trout just let us know you had to substitute salmon, don't insult a patron this way. We both had the Gelati Trio & while this was good ice cream, this was not GELATO! Our waitress Iryna was the highlight of this meal. She was friendly & considerate and even tried to get the "music" turned down but to no avail. We were both glad to get out of there.
I came for Restaurant Week and was underwhelmed with the food. I think my expectations were just a bit higher. The space is really nice. For some reason, the music was extremely loud and the bass just thudded a lot as if we were in a vehicle with bad speakers. It didn't match the vibes of the space.
Everything was very good. Only issue I had was the music was quite loud.
I took my mom here for her birthday! It was perfect for the occasion. It was delicious, great service and a fun atmosphere.
Super cute place!!!! We went for date night and will definitely be going back. Food was great, had the 3 course option for restaurant week. The peanut butter icecream dessert was one of the best things I’ve ever had!!!!!!
Hmmmm. What to say. I will say our server was fantastic - friendly, professional, went the extra miles to let us taste wines before we ordered - she was amazing. And I liked the wine list, but man, was it overpriced. Every bottle was marked up at least three times suggested retail - that makes a bad impression on me. The burger was good, but not great and for $16,I kind of wanted an amazing burger. It needed pickles, iceberg lettuce or something to add to an otherwise mushy texture. Not sure I'd make a trip back.
Overall was a pretty good meal. The interior of the restaurant is very sheek and old school look alike. A few downsides was it was very cold inside especially near the windows. Service was ok, waiter was attentive initially however mains came out without someone clearing the table before. Also for day 4 of restaurant week to have to sub one of the mains is a bit off. Lastly the dessert was amazing (peanut butter ice cream) however the toasted almonds were missing.
Service was slow. Not attentive. We had to ask the host to find our server because we were waiting a good 10-15 minutes before anyone came over. Server arrived, we ordered all courses at once to ensure we weren't waiting again. As we waited 15 minutes for the dessert to arrive at the end of the meal we had to ask someone else to get the dessert and the check because our server was once again MIA. So, after a $100+ meal with my date, we couldn't wait to leave. The food was actually good, and I would go back if I can have better service. I want to like it...I just don't. My date will never go back.
We had a great dinner here. Went on a Tuesday night, when they have $1 oysters and they were delicious! We also have the steak tartar which was also good. But the lighting is so dim that we had to guess at what the condiments were on the plate. The frities are delicious with the spicy mayo.
People have complained about slow service, but we didn't notice. It's the type of restaurant you are suppose to slow down and enjoy the experience. We spent over two hours sipping cocktails and trying different dishes. While the noise level is loud, it still gives the vibe of a small romantic place.
Such a cute spot. Terrible service. Waitress came over to take order, bring food, never saw her again until we had to track her down for check. There for 2 hours.
Had a reservation at 8:30 that we made on OpenTable. Arrived and the hostess said no table was available, and that we would have to sit at the bar. No bar seats were available. The hostess made no other accommodations.
The place is very beautiful, I loved the ambiance and the DJ. Service was not the greatest, although girl tried to fix things - and she did. Flatbread, brussel sprouts, steak frits were really good. Don’t order tartare - it has nothing to do with real tartar. All in all, I would come back.
A fun - but very loud - spot. Great ambiance and delicious food/bubbly. The music volume was more "late night at the club" than "upscale, trendy dining with friends" and was really the only thing I didn't like about dining there.
The service was great! We were greeted right as we sat down, didn't wait too long for our drinks, and always had refills once our glass got too low. It was a great dining out experience, and the food was amazing!
Fantastic food, chic sophisticated vibe, and small and cozy enough to feel exclusive but not cramped.
Everything was perfect ... wine suggestion, atmosphere and service!
RM champagne salon has Great food, atmosphere and employees
This has been my favorite champagne spot for some time. As time goes on though, I feel like the service has declined slightly. Hoping it doesn't continue. We had reservations at 9pm for two and we arrived about an hour early to see if there was any chance to get in early. We were told no and that it would be at our reservation time, no problem! Never hurts to try. We come back right at 9pm and were then told that they are backed up due to large parties being there and that they don't know how long the wait would be till' our table is ready and in the mean time they can offer us to sit at a side table near the entry door and they will bring us some complimentary champagne for the inconvenience. No problem with us! We ended up sitting at the side table and never got anything complimentary. They eventually moved us to our table. I of course ordered my friend and I a bottle of champagne because it was her birthday. It just annoyed me about offering something complimentary for inconvenience and then not giving it. Not my style to inquire about it when it's not given. Wish they could keep up on the good service they used to have because I really love this place.
Great food and drinks. Cold in a winter, service is on a slower side but overall good experience.
So disappointed as I heard such great things about RM Champagne. Tables are so close together that when you move your chair, you bump into another table or chair. It's very loud. Service was bad (but it was busy). I had flatbread (horrible) and brussel sprouts (average). Husband had chicken (so-so). Drinks were really good. Maybe it was an off night for everyone/everything. The one positive is that staff is really nice.
