The food was great but it was far too loud in there, including the music. I felt like I had to shout across the table.
Go for happy hour for 1 dollar oysters. Food and service were overall fantastic
Went on a Wednesday night and the place was dead. Only 3 other tables occupied. Service was awful. The host/server didn’t even know there were dinner specials and couldn’t describe items on the menu. He literally read back to us the description listed on the menu. He was not attentive to clearing plates or checking in on us.
The food was good. I enjoyed most of what we ordered. Nothing was spectacular or award winning.
Ambience is cool but bad acoustics - There was one table of 7 and it felt like they were screaming.
Overall, I would not come back for dinning. Maybe to have a cocktail and sit outside because their outdoor space looked cool.
There were issues with getting our table on time, our server was not knowledgeable about the menu and we were given wrong items and things came at different times, causing an awkward timing for the evening, due to the fact that some had food, others didn’t, some did not have drinks yet, etc. Cute atmosphere but would not recommend to anyone I know!
Could be a tad brighter, but the service was excellent. My scallops were perfect
Great spot - close to West Loop strip, but just off the beaten path enough to have real charm. Food & service were great and GM Patrick is a pro - Always makes a difference when management is savvy enough to make patrons feel comfortable & valued. We'll be back...
Underwhelming, surprisingly very limited not great wine selection, order issues... decor is the best part about this place, far overpriced for what it was, wouldn't recommend
The food was delicious, except for the oysters. They were not properly cleaned!
Once you find it, down a walkway off the street, it’s a charming dining room. There is a beautiful bar and lovely fireplace. I love the decor, sort of old hippie style. As much as I loved the surrounding, the food was the star. The mussels are the best I’ve ever had, dipping bread in the sauce may have been my favorite thing. My husband had the steak frites, perfectly done. My half lobster with delicious dipping sauce along with a generous side of potato purée....made me very happy. We will be back, we want to try the brunch too. This was our 35th wedding anniversary, the crowd was a mix of all ages.
It is very loud and dark but besides that IT WAS AMAZING
Cauliflower was great!!! The Fromage Flatbread was dry, crunchy, and somewhat bland in flavor. The service is good, but if you’re sitting at the bar’s high-top tables, don’t expect your waiter to be checking in often. My friend and I actually had 3 different waiters check on us which was weird... but overall vibes of the restaurant is swanky and upbeat!
Romantic spot with an adequate menu. Emphasis is on the alcohol instead of food
This place is so cute inside, but our service sucked. Unfortunately, we were celebrating a birthday and it really put a damper on the experience.
Great for drinks but the food was awful and service was terrible. Will not be going back for food.
Prices are marked up too high. No champagne under $100. Service was just ok- expected so much more from this place.
Burger and fries were delicious. Service was slow for a slow Sunday morning of business.
Appetizers were great. But the food did not match the description on the menu. My fiancé ordered their seafood pasta and no where on the menu did it mention that it was spicy, too spicy. I ordered a burger that tasted like someone dumped a ton of salt on it. It was not palatable. But their seafood palette was the best thing on the menu. It allowed you to sample everything on the appetizers.
This place is very cute on the inside. Love the ambiance and how the inside was decorated. I think in the summer the outside patio would be nice. For the west loop/Fulton market area this place was extremely affordable. We got several appetizers and a cocktail. We enjoyed the lobster devil eggs, the flatbread, the mussels, fries and shrimp cocktail. The service was awesome and I will definitely go back! For the cocktails we ordered (including my $22 glass of champagne) our bill was $117. The best part was they were offering 20% off if we paid cash. Very trendy cool spot hidden in west loop/Fulton market area!
We made a reservation for 2 people last Sunday, but when we arrived it was closed.
Always have an excellent experience here. The only minor drawback is that service can get slow on a Saturday night.
The staff was fairly rude and the food was absolutely terrible for what we were paying. I've eaten here last year but it has gone downhill.
Bartender didn’t seem to know anything about the champagne on the menu. But he did let us try before ordering them which was nice.
The service was absolutely terrible. The manager was incredibly rude and you could tell not on top of things bc they were out of stock for their champagne, Sauvignon bland AND Prosecco! So ridiculous. Food was good but the management was horrendous and being my best friends birthday I felt terrible.
Took my girlfriend here for our Valentine’s dinner. We enjoyed the food and the recommendations from the server. Will definitely want to go back in the summer when patio seating is available.
So overpriced. Food was terrible. Service was awful. Barely anyone there at peak Friday night hours and the music was blaring annoyingly.
Surprise valentines plans that really turned out for the best. Our server was super attentive and the food came out relatively quickly! Everything was delicious, and the server helped me make some changes to a dish so that it would be vegetarian which is always a nice surprise.
If you're a veggie the Croque Madame is great without the ham, and the burssles sprouts were lovely.
Food is delicious. Decor is romantic. Weird choice of plaid shirts, wife beaters and backwards ball caps on staff. It just doesn't fit the style of the place. They also control the music from an iPad under a corner booth for patrons. Odd.
This is one of our favorite restaurants in the City. Tucked away like a secret, once inside you can sip glorious champagne and nibble on good eats. Our server is always attentive and respectful of our pace - he lets us enjoy the bubbly and food, and each other with just the right amount of attention.
Food was delicious, though they were out of lobster early on a Friday night. Specialty cocktails were amazing. Love the ambiance, super cozy and relaxing. Only glitch was our server, who seemed annoyed to have to even be there. She repeatedly walked by us and completely ignored us, even when we’re trying to order more. She never introduced herself and never once smiled, and just seemed to have an attitude. We didn’t let it ruin our night but just be warned.
The trout was fantastic. The winter salad was fantastic. Great restaurant!
Loved this cozy romantic spot for weekend brunch, service was attentive & the food was good with French flair!...bon appetite!!
The wine and ambience is great; however, the grand seafood plate was very bland and mediocre.
We made a reservation because its suppose to be a nice romantic restaurant. I was bringing my gf for her bday. It was a Tuesday night and the beginning of happy hour but they were out of oysters. They were out of a lot of items and the host/server didn't seem to care much. She was too busy on her fun to pay attention to us and the bartender was too occupied with his friends to make our drinks. We sat there for 20 mins no service no nothing. finally got our drinks in and we decided not to eat anything because they didn't have what we wanted. The music was blaring offensive music. the worst place I've been in for a very long time. I would never return nor recommend it to anyone. It ruined my GF's bday so instead of the nice dinner I had planned we ate the better bbq joint next door. They need to shut this place down
Food was delicious. It was a little chilly in the restaurant.
This place used to be a little upscale with a better decor with more chandeliers. The food isn’t as great either and the service is slower.
The my used to serve the champagne in the flutes but not anymore; served in small glasses( rip-off) for a $18 drink. Not worth it any more .
It is very noisy with a much younger crowd. I woundnt be returning!
Great food, ambience was great. Can get a little noisy when it’s full, but overall I had a great time.
The place was very cozy and the service was excellent. The food was good and generally worth the price, but I've had better. The only real downfall I thought was the music was very loud. I had a hard time hearing the person across from me and we were the first ones in the restaurant at 5pm.
Terrible service. We are 2 out of 3 dishes that we ordered and sent the other back.
