RIZE Thai Sushi

The food, both sushi and Thai style, was delicious. Also, we had an infant in a car seat with us and they had a perfect booth to accommodate us!

Great happy hour

We have ordered from Rize on a number of occasions but really enjoyed the in person experience. Perfect date night spot for a low key night.

We had high hopes for RIZE as others had said it was good, but we were disappointed with the Thai food. The beef salad tasted fishy, the ChaingMai Noodles were just okay, and the Yellow Curry Chicken was the best thing we had. When you order a $12 curry you would think they could include some rice. The acoustics were awful in the place and we had two very loud girls at the table just next to us. Perhaps the sushi is better than the Thai food, however I was so put off, I am not sure I would give it another try.

Food was delicious and my Cambodian friend said that the Thai dishes were very authentic.

Beautifully prepared sushi, inventive menu and oh by the way it was delicious. Good enough that we considered going two nights in a row while in town on vacation. Appearance inside is like a super casual local bar/restaurant nothing to write home about. Service was very attentive and staff was super nice. Having well made cocktails at a sushi restaurant was a treat too

Would help if they can expand the size of the restaurant. The food and service and outstanding but it is cramped

Casual restaurant with tasty food! Very prompt service. Delicious vegetables, curry and silky sea bass. Of course we shared every dish and got to enjoy all the different flavors. Amazing that their happy hour goes until 7 pm, and includes sake at half price.

Amazing Thai fusion food. The aromas alone were decadent and the rose mojito is as beautiful as it is delicious!

The food was excellent! The double fried pork belly was delicious. The duck spring rolls were lacking in the amount of meat but still very tasty. Our main entree's, the salmon bowl and shrimp pad thai were great portion sizes ans extremely delicious!The passion mojito and the leche martini were made consistently by any staff member and had great flavor. The service was great in the fact that any staff member would stop by to check on you to ensure you had everything you needed. Overall, an excellent experience.

RIZE was amazing. The best sushi I have had in a while, but they still have great non-sushi options. The service was impeccable and we felt at home while we were there. Highly recommended!!

I love this place: the food is great, the drinks are fun but it was pretty noisy that night and the service was slower than usual. I still love this place and would come back!

Delicious and original food. Casual environment.

Somewhat disappointing. The reviews had been so good, so we decided to try this place. It sounded interesting with the idea of Thai/sushi fusion. The roll combos weren't that great, and very duplicative. The flavors were very heavy (not necessarily spicy), and my husband ended up with an upset stomach. Don't think we will be going back. Service was fine, though one of our servers didn't speak very good English, so it was hard to communicate our order.

We had a disappointing experience. The service was very poor and the food was quite mediocre. They got the order incorrect and the soup arrived after two other courses. It wasn't completely full and yet we could barely carry on a conversation.
Definitely would NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Great Place and new find..

The service wasn’t great but the food was amazing! By not great service, just super awkward waitress and difficult to communicate. But food came quickly and it was all very, very good. Definitely will go back, and for happy hour.

Just went back to RIZE last weekend. I didn’t even mind missing the happy hour menu as everything we had was delicious and the prices are great. I think this is a hidden gem in the world of sushi...plus the combo of sushi and innovative Thai is magical. Loved each dish, tasty, beautifully presented. Great time!

The quality of the sushi isn’t very good, and beware because the menú has 2 or 3 sections for every type of food. And when you think you’re ordering a 10 dollar sushi, on the other section there’s a very similar one that costs 20 dollars. When the check comes you realize they charged you the expensive one. Don’t try the rice as mine i could tell was microwaved last minute, but the curry was good!

This place is great for a casual dinner or a date! Delicious food, good drinks, and Manning lighting.

The food comes out VERY SLOW. The average tasting food is a over priced. I would not go again

Poke bowl tasty; Pad Thai especially good, so was spicy tuna on crispy rice. Would've gotten 5 stars, but was there same night as obnoxiously loud b-day party.

Food was good and very reasonable prices. If you’re looking for just a casual spot for a nice meal it’s a place to go. We booked a table on Opentable and wasn’t showing in their reservation system and kind of made us feel not welcome at first, even though the place wasn’t even busy.

Usually good but service was show and food was mediocre.

Food and service was great the day before, at beginning of happy hour.

We reserved big table for 7 for BIRTHDAY the next evening, a Wed. I had explained that one or two of the party would be arriving a little later. They said that was fine that it wouldn't be a problem. Before I arrived, they had given away, part of our table, so we were cramped! 7 of us sat at a table for 4!

Food was great! Service, was absolutely the WORST we've ever experienced. They are miserably understaffed! Blame the manager/owner, not the staff. The servers would just take our orders and did give us water upon request, but they were extremely delayed in removing dirty dishes! We were not only already cramped, but surrounded with dirty dishes that should have been taken away!

18% tip was automatically included in bill. Smart of them, 'cause we would have never tipped that!

We will never return with a group!

Great ambiance - stayed a good amount of time after finishing the meal because it was so chill. Service was excellent. The flavors were impeccable. All around delicious. Will definitely be back and will bring others along!

Good value for Dine LA. It is probably the best Dina LA set I ever had. Usually, restaurant does not care the quality of the Dine LA menu. Rize made a great Dine LA work. However, the fish sushi here is not that fresh. I would go to little tokyo to have a real sushi meal. In santa monica, it is not bad but not great. Worth for the try under Dina LA.

We went for DineLA event! The food was horrible and the service was slow. It felt that they were forced to participate in the event. The choices I had in the menu was eh! My husband ordered from regular menu, the food was better.

The sushi was warm but tasty. The chef forgot to put the noodles in my ramen! This place is a funky neighborhood spot. Nothing fancy but O.K. If you don’t have any other sushi place.

I had been craving sushi and Thai for the last few days so I found this place on line. It had favorable reviews, prices and was something new for me to try. I'm glad that I found this place. My first impression of this place is that they have great food and ambiance! The vibe is casual but cool. They had hip hop and R&B music playing just loud enough to keep the energy off the restaurant lively but low enough to engage in conversation. With TV's, a bar and higher tables they have good seating options for everyone.

Our reservation was for 7PM so we just missed their Happy Hour. They had some great options on both sides of the MENU and the prices were reasonable. One side had Thai dishes, salads and the other had Sushi and drinks if I recall. Every table we saw what appeared to be good dishes and drinks. I ordered a Thai Iced Tea, Yellow Curry 🥘 Chicken/brown rice and a spicy Tuna Roll. My girlfriend had Fresh Lemonade, Rize Biscuits (Crispy rice with spicy Tuna) , Bre's hand roll. The couple sitting at table next to us had a dessert so we ended up ordering the same because it looked so good we had to try it. It was their Yuzu (Japanese lemon) cheesecake. It was so good and the perfect size to share but not overindulge
We both enjoyed our shared selections and were already discussing what we would try upon returning.

In my opinion Rize did Rise to the occasion. Whether you want to grab dinner with friends, coworkers for a happy hour, or just planning a date night you won't be disappointed. Their fusion is not confusion it's just good food and service. I wasn't a fan of the lighting in there though. They have Edison bulbs and a few TV's but since the sun sets on the west the daylight wasn't helping too much as it got darker outside. I still would suggest this place though and will definitely look forward to returning.

The sushi was kind of warm and the service was a little cold. Kind of the opposite of what you want with sushi LOL came for the Tuesday happy hour all day. Drinks were really great!!!! Menu was not the easiest to follow for the happy hour specials. I would go back just hope the sushi would be gold and not mushy
