Met a dear friend here and the lunch was superb. Great view of the water and terrific service. The caprese salad to die for.
We were at Riverwalk for a Sunday lunch. Great service, fantastic food, terrific view of the river. Prices are a little high, but not outrageous. Definitely will return for another round!
Service was slow and food overpriced. The waiter was nice. 1st and last time eating here
The food was overcooked or sat under heat lamp too long. Overhead lights on the patio turned on and off, and staff said they were run by the city utility and there was nothing they could do. It was super distracting when you could see for 30 seconds and then went to almost dark for another 30 seconds. Candles on the tables could have helped.
We had a lovely lunch on the terrace overlooking the York River. Food and drinks were both delicious. Service was great.
Could have been better, service was so slow and the place was not full of people and it still took forever. Pretty place though, will not be going back.
We had a lovely salmon salad for lunch facing the water. Salad was super with blueberries, strawberries, walnuts, apples, greens and a light dressing. Salmon could have been more flavorful, but, all in all a lovely lunch. The lovers lemonade is also good! If you are in Jamestown or Yorktown, this is a nice spot for lunch or dinner.
My wife and I really love this restaurant. We've been a number of times and always had a great experience. The food is high quality, service is great, the and view/ambiance cannot be beat. Definitely recommended.
Great food and great service. A nice surprise after a day sightseeing. I especially loved the paleo options! Menu choices with spaghetti squash and zucchini noodles were very much appreciated. xo
Very nice view. Food and service were lacking. Not sure if this was just an off night. Food came out cold, water glasses were empty , bread had to be asked for and the list goes on. When paying +$30 for entree I expect good tasting food and service. The fish was mediocre and also cold. sent it back for heating the fish came out Warm at best the second time all the condiments were hot. They did not remake the fish they just warmed it up , not acceptable. They tried to recover with 20% off the bill which is very nice but reality doesn’t fix it.
Location was good with free covered parking. View was scenic. Visited Sunday and didn't know it was brunch buffet only until after we were seated. Nothing on website regarding this. Stayed anyway. Very nice brunch selection. Everything was good but hot foods were lukewarm. Dessert that came with brunch buffet was just a bite or two---literally. Service was average at best.
Wonderful food, outstanding service.
Great restaurant, we have dined here several times and have never been disappointed.
Scott was the best waiter! The food was excellent. We were there for Easter brunch, and the buffet had an incredible selection.
Always a pleasure to attend their holiday brunch. This was Easter and the food and service was simply fantastic. Fresh local seafood on the buffet along with prime rib and lamb chops plus the whole 'regular brunch' stuff. The truffle mac-n-cheese was simply delightful.
Our server Sara was prompt, polite, and professional. A pleasure to work with, she kept our drinks full and brought fresh plates when we needed them all without being obtrusive. She is a gem.
We've dined there for a variety of occasions (all very positive experiences) but when we're in town, we never miss their holiday brunches.
Went for Easter Buffet Brunch. Way over priced. At $50.00 per person (they charged extra for coffee), you would expect a large, well prepared spread. This was not. No carving station. Ham was sliced and laid out in a heated chaffing dish and was dry. Beef was already sliced, not freshly cooked and tough. No egg choices. If you wanted scrambled eggs or bacon, you had to steal them from the "kid's buffet." Very limited selection of food items. No dessert station. You had a choice of four desserts and it was brought to you. Certainly not something you would expect at $50 buffet. Omelette station was very limited and the cook did not know how to prepare an omelette. He did not saute the ingredients and never flipped the omelette so it could fully cook. I enjoy omelettes. This one was just plain bad.
Easter brunch was soooo disappointing!!! The food was cold and tasteless with very few breakfast choices. Store bought muffins & desserts. Not worth what we paid. Back to Opus for us...
Very expensive, The servers were super!!!!
Very nice place however over priced for what we received. We can get the same quality food at nearly half the price with the same service and view.
Amazing service and great food. A fantastic location for any location. Highly recommend the Calamari and the Lobster roll.
We came here on Valentine’s Day which is a rough holiday to really get to know a restaurant on, considering they’re usually busier and more chaotic than normal. The drinks and appetizers were amazing so really wanted to give them a second chance on a ‘normal’ day and we were so happy we did. We went for our one-year anniversary and everything was perfect. Their current menu is wonderful and we are looking forward to going back for other special occasions!
Their specialty cocktails are fantastic! And we would go back just to eat the bison tartare anytime.
Food was fantastic & we had an exceptional server- don’t know how he did it as it looked like he was by himself however not msn there
I went with my family of 9 for my dad's 75th birthday dinner o 3/12/18. We ordered 5 seafood towers and a brisket burger. We were all satisfied with the food and wait staff was friendly. Due to the snow blizzard, the restaurant was empty.
The occasion was my husbands 77th Birthday. Rainy and snow flurries outside and warm and cozy inside. Our favorite restaurant and well worth the drive from Deltaville.
Once again friends had a nice lunch at Riverwalk Restaurant. The setting on the water is wonderful any time of year. We were saying good=bye to a friend who's moving away, and lunch here was a nice send off for her.
On a week day evening it was not crowded; there was a great view, and there was good food.
The buffet had limited options, but eggs are cooked to order (includes benedict and omelettes). Also, fantastic sweet potato pancakes. She crab soup was delicious, nice fruit salad. Excellent service, beautiful view. This was our first visit and we will go back. Everything tastes so fresh!
Everything was wonderful for my husband’s birthday. Brandy our server was so nice, helpful and attentive. The food was phenomenal, we could have made a meal out of appetizers but glad we didn’t because our main dishes were delicious. To top it off dessert was to die for, the peach and brown sugar fruit cobbler was the best I’ve ever had , I couldn’t get enough. My husband had the chocolate zuccotta ( think I remember the spelling correct ) it was so moist and flavorful. We live in Virginia Beach and were in Williamsburg for the weekend, but we will make the trip back for dinner , it’s worth the drive. Thank you
Riverwalk is always great for a beautiful view. The food could improve. I was concerned about how fresh the tuna special was due to the smell of the tuna. Otherwise, we’ll keep coming back due to the terrific ambience. Our server was nice as well as attentive.
I found this restaurant to be a nice, quiet place to entertain clients with great ambiance and incredible views of the York River and Coleman bridge. Prices were reasonable for the quality and quantity of the portions. Would definitely recommend it!
Was frankly hoping for more, and the prices indicated more as well. Unimpressive food on a par with a corporate place like Olive Garden or Unos. If you charge more you have to deliver more, both in food quality and service. Wine list was mediocre, I could find the same on middle level Supermarket shelves, no point spending top dollar for average wine.
Save you money and dine elsewhere if you were hoping for a nicer evening out...
Needed an earlier time than initial reservation. Restaurant easily accommodated. Seated with river view as requested. Specials given. Server was wonderful - never had to look around for Kendall. Food was exquisite!! Cocktails were delicious. And dessert was wonderful!! So glad I chose Riverwalk!!
The hostess was extremely nice and overall a pleasant eating experience
I really enjoy dining at Riverwalk when I’m in Yorktown. I enjoy bringing friends and family here for a nice meal and walk outdoors to visit other shops or just enjoy the water and view.
The food is always excellent and everyone are accommodating and helpful.
Great place to dine.
Once again we had a wonderful dining experience. The menu selections made it difficult to make a final choice. Our meals were outstanding. The service was attentative to our needs and the server polite and gracious. This is our go to on special occasions place! 🥂
Food was excellent. Service was good. View of the river from every table.
My wife and I both had the fish of the day which was Halibut. It was superb and cooked to profection. The meal came with some shrimp and a half of a small lobster tail. The only suggestion would be that the lobster would have been remove prior and just laying in the shell. We would highly recommend this great restaurant by the York river.
Very disappointing service and meals. Fortunately the view is always a winner.
We celebrated our 1st aniversary and chose the Riverdale!!
Both the bar service and server were excellent. Our meal was off the menu after the Sunday brunch ended. Outstanding meal. We will be returning despite the hour and a half drive for special occasions.
