We live locally and have been coming to the River View once or twice a year since opening. At first the food was not so good for a long time, the service has always been good for the most part. The last two times we visited the restaurant the food has taking a turn for the better, it was really good. I even took a chance and had our company Christmas party at the River View and that turned out wonderful, we will be back. Prices are a bit high for the menu, but we can live with that as long as the food stays good.

The service was great, very on top of keeping the tables clean. Was quite chilly in the restaurant. Food was wonderful. Salmon was DELICIOUS. Upset that they seated us in the main area next to a large group that was loud because they were celebrating a birthday. Just was hoping they could of sat that group in a more private area.

Enjoyed the beautiful view from our table by the fireplace where we felt cozy and warm on a windy, chilly evening. Our miso salmon was absolutely wonderful and our server was super friendly and very accommodating!

It was great. I plan on going again.

There were four in our group for dinner. We used a Groupon and had an amazing 4 course meal. The ambience was lovely, the service excellent, and the food absolutely delicious. I would definitely go there again.

It was such a wonderful time for my wife’s all important 30th! We will be back for other holidays and celebrations. Top notch service and food!

I was to please to Celebrate my wed ANNIVERSARY host was very friendly and polite. my server Chad was very attentive and friendly my my dinner unforgettable and the food OMG no words Delicious my bride was extremely happy overall.

Great food! We used a groupon - a four-course dinner. We both had the won ton shumai - we loved them. Next we had the soup du jour - my wife had the split pea and I had the clam chowder; both were excellent. For our entrées, I had the salmon and my wife had the chicken gnocchi - both were fantastic; my wife had enough for a take home box for the next day's lunch. We ended with the vanilla bean crème brûlée, they were just the right size and a great way to end a lovely dinner on.

We love this place, so we'll be back.

This was the third time that we had gotten the gift certificate for the special dinner that Groupon is selling. The first time I got the brisket it was full of fat and I couldn’t eat it. So the next time we went I tried the salmon and it was raw and I had to send that back. And we went last night my husband got the chicken gnocchi and the chicken was very very dry. I also tried the brisket again thinking that was maybe a fluke and it was not always full of fat. But I had to tell the waiter that one of my pieces was a solid fat piece and he was nice enough toReplace that one piece. I don’t know what the problem they are having but the restaurant is not doing a very good job with their main dishes. The hors d’oeuvres we’re great. We have decided that we will not return there anymore.

As always, an excellent meal, in an excellent setting overlooking the river, romantic and private despite the open dining room. Tables are placed far enough from each other for diners' privacy. Views outside are spectacular, of the gorge wall and the Sandy River. The grounds are carefully landscaped.

Service from greeting to good-bye was outstanding. Food, as always, was well prepared, cooked to perfection, and very tasty. We don't get out on as many romantic dates as we used to, but this definitely qualifies as one of the best. Definitely do not miss this experience!

Took my boyfriend here for his birthday and it was terrible! Waited 20 minutes for drinks. The entrees came out burnt after an hours wait! Even the dessert was bad! Definitely won't ever be back!

It was everything we were hoping for and more. The restaurant is beautiful and the atmosphere is amazing and calm. The food is incredible and the service was outstanding.

Best thing was the main entre. Looked nice but was very open. Tables situated oddly, so people ate and stared at the other table. Chowder was runny. Bar in back caused a lot of traffic in main dining room. No actual theme in restaurant. Overpriced for this kind if environment. Might just go back for happy hour on a summer day on the deck. Thats it.

Went for an early valentines dinner mainly for the special menu and the 5 course meal was excellent. We go there every now and then but this menu was different. it was really great, service was great but the service was a quite a bit slower than normal, they could have used more servers. it wasn't our servers fault, he worked his tail off all night, they just needed. we will still go back because we love the place.

We had an amazing dinner. The ambiance was lovely, they sat us right next to the fireplace. Our server was kind & funny. We will definitely go back!

Such a beautiful setting. Recommend for a "special occasion"; they went out of their way to honor the birthday person.

Service was outstanding. We purchased the Groupon special and had gone early. This could be made into a beautiful place for weddings and the like but the place requires a bit of fixing up. I do a bit of designing myself so I have a pretty good eye. The restrooms are in need of repair and configuration. There are wholes in the plaster walls that require repair. The windows need a good cleaning. The place needs to be painted. I gave the food a three star. My salad greens were brown. The pasta dish I had was a bit tough. The portions were a bit on the small side but you have plenty of bread prior to your main course to fill up on. Kind of like the Spaghetti factory. They get you filled up on the cheaper product. The dessert was probably my favorite part of the entire meal. Cream brulee. What a treat. Would I go back again? Only with a Groupon. We did leave the waitress a fairly good tip as she was very attentive and her personality shined.

I find the ambiance and food to be outstanding. Our service was perfect and punctual. The staff were friendly and accommodating as well.

We were there in cold weather, so sat by the fire instead of by a window. The restaurant is nicely decorated, the noise level mostly quiet, the time between courses just perfect, staff friendly and efficient. It would be considered a place to go for celebrations and special occasions.

Amazing food and service!

We have gone for several years but the waiter was not attentive, assumed we knew the menu, took a long time to get him to come greet us and take our drink order. They ran out of prime rib and didn’t tell me until half hour after being ordered’ On top of the horrible service was the piano music. They use to have live music which was wonderful but now they have this piano music that sounds like the self playing piano - not relaxing and ruins the atmosphere . Bradford is an amazing waiter do this is not about him!

We loved the food and the whole experience. We would highly recommend the Riverview Restaurant to a friend and we will be looking forward to our next visit in the very near future.

A bit disappointed. First we had to wait for a table we reserved. And when we were seated we had to wait for service. I think about 30 to 40 minutes for our first cocktails. Really for the price not worth it.

This was an amazing experience with amazing service. We had the four course menu and I could not get over how good it was. Incredible all around.

Terrible service! Arrived at the restaurant 7pm, left at 9:30pm. Main entree was served at 9:15pm; we couldn’t even our finish our meal and dessert.
