Delicious food, nice ambiance, and friendly staff - we will return!
I would just warn friends to make dinner reservations for a time other than during Happy Hour. The noise level was obnoxious when we arrived at 7:15. By 8 it was quiet and we were able to enjoy conversation without yelling! I did not realize how loud it would be or we would have picked a different time. However, the food was fantastic!
Service was absolutely impeccable. The atmosphere and the bar are excellent. Food was just average. Really close to a great dining experience
We had a delicious brunch. Food and coffee were excellent!
It was okay. There was a large party and we were sat on the other side next to their table. I felt like we were crammed in. Our food was good but I didn’t think they had a large selection.
Food was fresh and delicious. Bar had a neighborhood feel. Will check it again in the warmer weather.
Riverview burgers and Brussels sprouts were excellent. Servers Natalie and Desiree were accommodating and friendly!
Food was not prepared as requested mine was Luke warm after I told our server Natalie who was great and caring.
My wife's meal was not prepared as stated on menu description our server felt bad but she did not make the food.
Our soup was great and perfect!
Our server went beyond the call of duty to make out dinner an exceptional experience. Our group of 8 diners made reservations to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. A Irish menu was emailed to patrons that we found attractive. When we arrived we were informed that this was meant to be a bar menu and could only be purchased at the bar. We expressed our displeasure. Our waitress told the chef and he came to our table to explain the situation. With the help of our server, the chef agreed to make the bar menu a dinner menu at a reasonable cost. The food was excellent and the customer sensitivity to the issue was exceptional. We really appreciated the flexibility to make our St Patty’s Day celebration memorable.
Service was fantastic! The menu gave me high hopes & sounded out of this world- a pretty big let down- especially for the price. Womp
Another great dinner at Riverview.
Such a nice atmosphere. Really good food and attentive service. We love breakfast here.
What happened? This was our third time here. We came in the summer and the food was wonderful, which lead us to bring two couples with us for the 2nd time in the fall. Again, we had a wonderful meal and dining experience. Which in turn lead us to bring a different couple last night. We had 7 o’clock reservations. The hosted said it would be a few minutes before we would be seated. No problem, we sat at the bar. About a half later, she said the table was finishing up and it would be about 5 minutes. 30 minutes later she came over and told us our table was ready. She apologized for the wait and told us they overbooked that evening. We noticed the menu has changed. Not all impressive. My husband ended up ordering the steak off of the special and I had the vegetable spaghetti. My husband had a very nice conversation with the chef. He has been there a couple of weeks. That would explain the menu being different. We had the charcuterie board as an app which was very good. Our dinner arrived along with complimentary lobster cakes. When I took a bite out of mine, I was biting down on a 1 inch piece of shell. My husband had pieces of shell in his too. On to the entree. my husband steak was very tough and it had a cheese sauce that tasted like velveeta. The steak tasted like a London broil. My veggie spaghetti was suppose to have spinach and garlic on it. There wasn’t any spinach in it or garlic. It was plate of spaghetti with mushy grape tomatoes around it. It was very bland. Our waitress didn’t even come over to check up on us to see we were enjoying our meal. We ate a quarter of our meal. The runner came over to take our plates and asked if we wanted them boxed up. We said no. We never did get a chance to tell our waitress that we were very disappointed with our meal. I guess this chef will go through some growing pains before he finds his ground. We were so looking forward to having a wonderful birthday dinner only to be left disappointed.
Wonderful staff and excellent food. We were a group of 10 and they accommodated us easily--with our dinners arriving warm and all at the same time. The staff was attentive without being bothersome and even happily took a few group pictures for us. Would recommend you try this place!!
Took my mother in law there for her 75th birthday. Had a 6pm reservation. Arrived at 5:45 and was told we had to wait until 6 to be seated. Once seated, our server quickly came to the table with water and took our drink order. Came back and took our order for dinner and appetizers (soup and salad). Watched numerous tables be seated and get appetizers while we still waited for ours. At 6:50 pm the server came over and apologized stating the chef lost our appetizer tickets and we should have flagged her down letting her know we did not get our food. Shortly after that, we received our appetizers. About 15 minutes later we got our dinner. Manager came over and apologized telling us we wouldn’t be charged for the appetizers. Had a wonderful meal and server came back advising us the desserts were on the house.
While we were a little disappointed by the lack of service in the beginning, we were impressed with the food, ambiance, and excellent customer service we received!! Definitely coming back and didn’t let the minor inconvenience dissuade our evening!!
Speaks volumes when the manager tries to right a wrong. We all have our days when everything doesn’t go as planned, but the concern and care the manager had was impressive!! Thank you for making our experience go from a low to a high! We will be back again!!
Excellent cuisine and service. There was only one problem. A member of the wait staff rudely yelled out to one of the runners in the seating area. I thought that was uncalled for and rude. This should have been done in the kitchen area, not in the public area.
This was the second time we have tried Riverview Restaurant since they opened 3 years ago. The first time was within 6 months of them opening and it was a horrible experience from start to finish. We were there for more than 2 hours and in that time we received an appetizer and finally our main course. We had to stop random servers to get us things like water because our server just wasn’t paying attention.
We received a gift card for Christmas a couple of months ago from some friends and decided it was finally time to go back and try it again....after all, it has been 3 years! It’s hard to believe that we actually had the exact same problems and more. We had an early reservation, 6:00 and when we were seated we were one of only 2 tables in the dining room. We were seated at 5:55 and when we walked out at 8:17 we had again only had an appetizer and our main course. Refills of drinks were slow in arriving, like asking if we wanted refills and then 15 minutes later getting them. Everyone seated after us received all of their food well before we did. Our appetizer showed up after the 3 tables directly next to us received theirs....it was the same appetizer and they were all seated anywhere from 10-45 minutes after us!!
We finished our appetizer and waited another 45 minutes for our main course. We received an apology from our waitress about 10 minutes before our food finally arrived because she knew we had been there forever and still had no food. When our food arrived my steak was delicious but the mashed potatoes that came with it were barely warm. My husband was warned to be careful of the temperature of his bowl.....only to find out it was only warm at best.
We finished our dinner and were waiting for our dessert.....it was a set menu (1 appetizer, 2 entrees and 1 dessert for a fixed price). And we waited and waited and waited. My husbands dirty dinner dishes were never picked up and once again we watched as every table around us received their dessert and we
Suprised by the fix menu on Valentine's day. Entree and dessert were fine but disappointed with appetizer. Main complaint was service. Two other couples seated well after we were, were served first.
The salmon and steak were outstanding. Michael our server was very courteous and helpful. Thank you for a great experience. we will certainly return in the future.
Bartender mixed up a wonderful martini, he made it exactly to my liking!! Waitress was pleasant and friendly!! Food was good, my salmon (in a pastry) was slightly over cooked, everything else was delicious!! Second time dining there this week and it did not disappoint!!
We were a little surprised with the limited menu, especially that on a Saturday night, there were no specials. We had been here about a year ago, and I thought that there was a more extensive menu. What we had was very good, and reasonably priced. But it is a little loud.
Food was excellent! New menu has great variety.
Dined here to celebrate a birthday and since this was first time visiting this restaurant, we were not sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. Food was excellent and the waitress was outstanding. She was attentive and very friendly and made very good suggestions. The ambiance is great as we were seated next to the window overlooking the water. My only complaint is the parking. We had to park in a lot at the rear of the restaurant and the lighting is very poor. There is parking in the front but none was available. Will definitely dine there again.
a must go to again. food was excellent, waiter very nice. most comfortable chairs and the view was great. One of the coldest nights but so glad we went. we will definitely let our friends know. cannot wait till warmer weather to sit outside.
We had family from out of town join us for a birthday celebration. Riverview did not dissapoint, everyone raved how delicious the food was and enjoyed the ambiance. Very much enjoyed showing friends and family what Burlington has to offer so thank you!
Hostess...bartenders..waitstaff .. really nice and fun...down-to-earth and so accommodating. Very open feel...nice big windows..good view.. Unfortunately my appetizer dish was not good at all...sent it back, but I would definitely go back and try the food again. The place and the people are good enough to give it another go.
My husband and I are new to the area and decided to try this restaurant with a view of the river. The place was nice, service was fantastic and we enjoyed our time there. They had very reasonably priced wines also. The food... My husband had crab bisque and a seafood dish that he loved! I chose a flatbread and a side of Brussels sprouts. The sprouts were great! The flatbread was very oily and just ok. I think most of it home and it was actually better heated the next day. I would absolutely return, I just may not order the flatbread unless they cut the oil some.
Amazing place for Burlington Township, but the food quality is not consistent from when they first open. Some dishes are excellent and others not so much. Service is excellent and people are great.
Very disappointed. New Years Eve dinner was not good. Service was terrible, food was terrible. Only plus was the bartender made a great martini, but had to wait 20 mins for it at the bar.
We had a group of 6 for new years eve. We were promptly seated although we arrived a little late. The menu was limited for the holiday which we knew beforehand. Service was very good. We never felt rushed. The food was very good. Everyone in our group was pleased with their meals. We would consider this restaurant again for a special occasion.
A very nice experience! The place is open and cheery and the food was very good. Our waitress, Mercedes, was excellent—friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Overall, a great night!
Comfortable atmosphere. Not rushed and not ignored. Food was pretty good. Nice view of the river that is apparently going to be destroyed by condo/townhouse development in future.
The food was delicious and our service superb! Waitress was attentive but not intrusive. All six of us really enjoyed our food.
It was great!
2 hours to get 2 drinks and 2 entrees. Severely understaffed and not apologetic about it. I sent them a private Facebook message giving feedback and did not hear back from them. It’s a shame because the food is very good
2 meals were sent back--- is extremely loud in the restaurant. Server was good though.
We went there for a birthday celebration and were not disappointed. The food was excellent: the calamari was among the best we've had; soup was outstanding, younger set loved the french fries and the mac n cheese. Vegetarian entree was delicious.
Servers brought the complimentary dessert with a birthday sparkler; it was a fun place. Will go again.
Food was over cooked and over priced Seating was uncomfortable and tight. Worst $130 I spent for two people
Buffet brunch on Sunday was delightful. Plenty of choices, good cocktails, great service.
We were immediately greeted and seated. Our meal was prepared as asked. The food was delicious
