Terrible food and terrible service. We started with apps that were all very expensive for what they were....lobster roll was stale, oysters were shucked so poorly there were many shards of shell in each, ceviche was disgusting and had corn nuts in it.

When were were finished with apps the server never came back to ask us for out entree order (like 40 minutes). We opted to leave...

They were out of lobster, last time they were out of pork chop. Food was great, but frustrating you go there for something specific and are notified they are out of it

The food was amazing. It is tapas style so we shared a bunch of different items with the table. The scallop escargot was absolutely incredible. We kept trying to use the bread from the other items to dip in the sauce. The cocktails were very unique. My husband had a banana infused old fashion, which was on the sweeter side for an old fashion but super surprisingly good. I had the “no way Jose” which was a mezcal drink with hibiscus and I will definitely order it again! We really loved the restaurant. The food was delicious and the vibe was great. We will definitely be going back soon!!!

Went for a late lunch, enjoyed a combination of the happy hour and regular menu prices. We had Hamachi, Stone Crabs, Shrimp, Oysters and the Crab Donuts. Delicious.

Firstly, I have been a resident of the Ft. Lauderdale area for 40 years and had a very difficult time finding the restaurant as it's address has no relation to it's location. Noise level was very loud even though the restaurant was not fully occupied. The pounding music from the neighboring club permiated everywhere. Service was very slow with uninformed wait staff. Of course, the restaurant was out of the desired entree so we had to make a second choice of stuffed lobster which took almost an hour to arrive at our table. While this dish was good, the lobster was tiny and hardly worth the price, although, the manager, on his own initiative, removed the cost from our check due to the delay. I doubt that I will ever go back.

we went for the happy hour and enjoyed the stone crabs and oysters. it is strange that you have to sit in special designated areas, rather than at the normal dining tables. the place was packed and a hip good looking crowd. A fun place to go too.

Wanted this place to be great after images from Lauderdale Local, but it was not. Server took forever and never refilled water. Lobster roll not chunks of lobster but shredded with filler. Grouper club decent flavor but filet thin and dry. Looks to be on the water but really is looking at a parking lot.

cant complain about the food however our server and ambience were less than desired. our server was completely preoccupied and nearly took 7 minutes to be greeted after we were initially sat down. the music was so loud during dinner we could barely here our server. our dinner reservation was for 730 not a time that I would expect blaring, base thumping music to be on. this could be a 4 or 5 star place if they would work on the atmosphere part of the restaurant

First time visit and a bit disappointed on minor fronts: Ordered Stone Crab claws appetizers, but small seafood forks for extracting meat not available, nor were wet wipes for hands. (After asking, waitress did bring a couple of dampened regular napkins, but fabric not really designed for cleaning hands.) Additionally, although we were required to use our regular dinner forks to try and extract the crab meat, we were also required to keep them for the main course despite having placed them on the used stone crab plates for replacement. Food was okay, although not exceptional.

We had reservations for outside to take advantage of the $1 oysters and other happy hour specials but got caught in traffic and by the time we got there the outside was full. Not deterred we sat inside and had a great meal of fabulous mussels, broiled oysters and the best ever grilled caesar salad. Ready to go back.

Food was not served as menu described. Wanted plain fish - told them nothing on it and no spices. Canes in butter sauce with onions all on top of fish. Did not bring vegetables. Did not fill up glasses with water. Finally asked for water bottle to be left on table. Told food was very mild and was so very spicy and no water. So loud we were shouting over table and had to lean way into table to hear friends.

The service was extremely slow . The food was bland . We ordered the grouper and it was not seasoned or extremely lightly seasoned. We ordered Brussels as a side and we were not told that they have ran out of them until we asked after we were served the food. . Only asparagus as an option of vegetables so we had the fish with no sides. We also ordered the seafood stew (that it is a chef specialty) and it was also not memorable . Food was also barely warm. In sum a total disappointment after driving an hour to get there .

If you are looking for a good date night, this is not the place. Rivertail needs to decide whether it's a restaurant or a bar. The music was irritatingly loud. Not only could we not hear eachother from across the table, but the server had to shout to take our order. The food was bar food with small portions. We had the calamari - which was the most decent of our order. The scallops escargot had the tiniest scallops overpowered by a pesto sauce. Crab doughnuts - were cold crab sliders with a crab salad. Lobster roll entree - instead of chunks of lobster meat, it was a cold shredded lobster salad with mayo. The wine list was limited and overpriced. The online menu on their website did not match the menu onsite (no pork belly). The decor was good and the place looked fabulous but was a total let down from atmosphere to food.

It was Valentine’s Day so busy restaurant was expected. The food was really done well taste and presentation. My only issue was we receive 3 of the first courses in rapid fire with :10, when the 4th arrived I had to send back because no room in table. I would come back, but need to work on timing with pre-fixe menu.

What a beautiful buildout! The spot is very well designed and looks great. Menu is very nice, quite a number of items MP so be prepared. We came in during the amazing happy hour, they also have a unbeatable lobster menu. We will definitely be back.

The restaurant was really nice and I loved the locatjon and decor. The service was horrible, our waiter did not explain the food would come out as it was finished, he said the kitchen was small and backed up. I never received my meal, the people I was with would get their sides after they finished their meals, the music was WAY too loud and you couldn’t even hear the person next to you without screaming. This place has a ton of potential but needs a lot of work to be someplace I would go again.

First time dining here. The food was awesome- a creative and robust offering of unique small plates. Service was abismal. After being seated for 25 minutes with no service, we asked a manager for assistance and a server finally appeared but never recovered. Constantly empty water glasses, repeated requests for drink refills, no attention to detail. It’s unfortunate that the level of service fell so significantly below the level of the food.

Even though this restaurant has only been open six weeks, the food and service are shockingly bad for the cost. I don’t think it’s going to get any better with time since management doesn’t seem to care
