    The service and food were very good but the atmosphere was more like outdoor cafeteria. The drinks are watered down and not the ambience I expected. But ok for lunch not a dinner date though.

    If your are looking for good food and an area by the river, this is the place to go! The kitchen is careful to attend to food sensitivities. Be sure to sign up for the birthday club- you receive a $40 off credit for spending at least $80 - easy to do as the prices are somewhat high (but worth it). And you earn points for dollars spent. The early bird costs are reasonable. Free valet parking is available at the entrance on Las Olas (after 5pm on weekdays- we ended up paying for parking in the building.. there went our earned points! Oh well...still good.) The wait staff was attentive. Be sure to ask about the early bird specials if you are there between 4pm and 6pm. Our waitress did not inform us...but we overheard another server describing what was available to other customers. We are looking forward to returning!

    Service was good. We had a nice view of the river. However, food was subpar at best. Among our party of 9, we had most of the menu. Everyone said their food was very bland, no flavor, nothing unique tasting. The chef needs to learn about seasonings and spices!! Also, all three fish dishes were over cooked. We won’t be back.

    I ordered the Whole Crispy Snapper $40, which tasted very good. However, there was barely any meat on it. My friends ordered the Snapper filet and their pieces were full and meaty and cost less. The difference is the whole snapper is fried and the filet was grilled. The atmosphere was nice and the mango margarita was good.

    Had a great experience at Rivertail , I was there for the first time on Mother’s Day and came back the following weekend for my sons 21st birthday. Only complain was the bartender turned the Heat game off while we were watching - it was ALMOST closing time , but wee and other parties were still there. They should turn the tvs off when the restaurant is completely closed not while customers are still there. On a positive note , our server CHAN was A-MAZING !!! She is very sweet , answered all our questions , and always came to check on us. We will be back again , over all a good experience , minus the tv issue.

    The vibe of rivertail is awesome. Great searing on the water, however, the food is disgusting. Somehow every dish we received was cold. The crab donuts were freezing (which the manager said was normal and how they are served), the nachos had freezing cold queso and shrimp and the Parmesan crusted trout came in barely luke warm. It wasn’t a busy night so I’m not sure how everything was so bad. Even the drinks were a sugary nightmare. Our server was awesome and very fun to chat with but I just think the restaurant is a tourist trap with awful food

    This was our 2nd time dining at Rivertail (1st visit was exceptional and I wrote a 5 star review.) Unfortunately, this experience was held with the same expectation and we were completely disappointed throughout. Upon arriving, we were being taken to our table and a waitress spun around without looking and rammed into me like a linebacker - spilling a drink all over this man's shirt. Our server was nice, but inattentive. We placed our order and my order was wrong and an appetizer was not delivered. It was VERY loud, yet not overly crowded. We also had to keep swatting flies away from our faces and food! This was NOT the Mother's Day dinner we were anticipating. $300 not well spent.

    Rivertail is a very nice restaurant on the river. Great atmosphere and the food is amazing! I definitely recommend the seafood nachos and the lobster tail. The prices aren't too bad either. The manager checked in on us more than once, and our waiter was great. I'll definitely be coming back!

    went here on a saturday night with several friends, there were 19 of us. we made a reservation but they had a hard time accommodating all us. They did the best they could and went out of their way. All of the staff were very nice, food was great. Grilled octopus is fantastic, the seafood chowder is to die for. The corn bread is amazing! Will certainly be back here again some time.

    Enjoyed our visit but only saw our waiter at the beginning and end of dinner. Manager Stacy helped us when we needed a few things n between, she was very personable and absolutely awesome! After dinner, we went to the outside bar, bartender Jay was really cool. We even witnessed him deesclating a distressed patron. Kudos to him!

    I didnt like the food it as ok, my husband and son liked it. The chicken and waffles was served cold, I like my food hot. It wasn't tasty like other places. Nothing to recommend. My husband liked his hamburger and my son liked his chicken sandwich. Location was good, its next to the water taxis. We asked to be switched to outside seating, which was declined. Then the seats were empty the entire time we were there, 2 hours to be exact. Will not go again.

    After seeing the pictures and reviews I was super excited to come to the Rivertail. Unfortunately the food did not live up to my expectations at all. Wait staff and the decor and ambiance was nice but if you are coming for the food I am sorry you might regret it.

    Beautiful place, great view! Service was good, food was good, although I expected it to be bold and it wasn’t. I had the brunch menu and asked for the ceviche (was good, not great, not so flavory) and a po-boy (also good but nothing special, especially when you have lived in and tried the real ones in New Orleans). Would definitely recommend if looking for good enough food plus ambience and beautiful relaxing view by the river.

    The kitchen was out of everything that we wanted to order. Served us different fish that was tasteless, took one bite and returned. End up having just some appetizers and drinks Very dissatisfied and disappointed. I invited another 2 couples with us for dinner and was sorry for wasting their time. End up going to a different restaurant for deserts.

    They were out of every entrée item that was fish. The last item of whole snapper was still available. They didn’t tell me that it was unavailable until about 30 minutes in to a glass of wine.
