   It was lovely. I was surprised to see a $22 service charge added on. You don’t tend to see that in Australia.

   Disappointed..Our reservation wasn’t honored. We had heard praise for Riverside Tpoanyaki & were happy multiple reservations were available when we checked OpenTable. We arrived early & the hostess couldn’t locate our reservation. We showed the confirmation email & she said teppanyaki could not be booked through OpenTable because it’s booked. We questioned this & she could not provide an answer nor make any concession but said we could dine at their partner restaurant, Kobe Jones. We decided to dine there as we didn’t want to try to get in somewhere else. It wasn’t busy & there was 1 waiter assisted 2 back waiters. The service from the main waiter was poor. We were often forgotten about from the beginning. He asked what type of water we wanted & requested bottled water and had to ask for it multiple times. We had other drinks & at our glasses sat empty for a long time before we had to flag him down to order more. Those drinks never came & we ended up asking a back waiter who delivered food to our table for them. He apologized & went straight to the bar, ordered/got the drinks then brought them to us. The main waiter came by more than 10 minutes later and exclaimed ‘I feel like I’m forgetting something, are you missing anything?’ We advised we got the drinks he had forgotten and he left the table without another word. His lack of service continued throughout our meal including not bringing our check. We also watched as the main waiter belittled the back waiters in front of other guests for not pouring beer correctly or setting the table incorrectly. I realize they’re learning but these corrections should be made out of the ear shot of customers. It appears they use OpenTable to filter business from Riverside Teppanyaki to Kobe Jones. To top it off, we were seated where we had a full view of Riverside Teppanyaki & there were 3 open seats during multiple sittings the entire time we were there which added to our disappointment.

   Amazing Experience, Expensive but worth it! Food was amazing.
