An absolutely glorious day to dine on the patio of The River's Edge. The food, service, and view were sublime. The filet minon and Vegan dish were, as always, perfectly cooked and presented. This is our go-to place for special occasions and we have guest that come from California just to eat here.
Best ambiance in town! Always excellent food and service. Our favorite...
We love it there.
River’s Edge is, quite simply, my favorite southern Oregon restaurant. Cannot beat the ambiance, the romance, the entertainment, the cocktails and wine selection or the food.
One of our favorite restaurants in Grants Pass. Right on the river with indoor and outdoor dining. Good wine list to go with a very diverse menu.
We had dinner with my husband's Aunt to celebrate her 89th Birthday. We truly enjoyed our dinner and the service.
Nice place, friendly staff and great food! I would highly recommend it to anyone!
We had friends visiting from California. They love this restaurant as much as we do. None of us were disappointed with our meals. The filet was superb and the “Edge” was perfect. I am anxious for the weather to warm up so dining on the patio is available.
River's Edge restaurant is one of our favorite places to eat whenever we are in Southern Oregon. We arrived a little early for our reservation, but the staff was very accomodating and found us a table quickly.
The service was amazing and the food was great, as usual. I had the filet mignon, which was fork tender and my wife had the New York Strip steak, which was very flavorful.
It was too bad they ran out of the vegetable of the day that night, but they substituted broccolini instead, which was good.
Will dine here again the next time we are in the area.
Meal was great, appetizer was really enjoyed by all (Blackened Ahi). meals were very good, live music was great.
One of our favorite restaurants for celebrating special occasions. They were all booked up for Valentine dinner reservations, but we were able to reserve a table for a late lunch. The food and service is always excellent. The restaurant sits right on the Rogue River in Grants Pass, and we enjoyed the wonderful ambience, especially watching the ducks and geese take off and land in the river. Would have loved to stay longer, but missed the entertainment, which was setting up as we were leaving.
Excellent restaurant. Wonderful views of the Rogue River from our table. Our server was excellent, anticipating the progress of the meal throughout. Delicious luncheon fare, and a surprise dessert too!
This is our go-to restaurant for special occasions and this evening was another “home run.” The food and service was outstanding and the hostess even seated us in a quiet part of the restaurant which made me hard-of-hearing husband very happy.
Our experience was that of first-timers, looking to celebrate a special milestone in our lives. We found the facility lovely and speculated that the deck seating must be wonderful in the warm months. But on a cold February day is was kind of chilly where we were sitting and we wished we were closer to the fire. My wife ordered a spicey Bloody Mary to start off the meal (her favorite drink) and said to me (and ultimately to our waiter) that it the worst she had ever had--not spicey and kind of sweet. Then the bread and butter was presented--very soft little buns (whereas we look for crustiness and chew in a good bread). Then we had salads which were o.k. but undistinguished. The entrees were very nice, but then the dessert was disappointing. It was called a berry crisp with ice cream, but it was served in a bowl with the berry crisp completely covered by three scoops of ice cream. Digging into it, we did bring up some berries, and the overall flavor was decent, but it certainly wasn't what we expected in an upscale dinner house. So, since we have indicated that we would recommend the experience to friends, we have to admit that we would probably forewarn them that although the River's Edge is a unique and special place in the area, they might find it disappointing if they expect a perfect experience.
Your food quality is excellent, presentation is great and ambiance is outstanding!!! I would come again and recommend your establishment. James miller.
Wonderful view of the river, great service and excellent food!
Our server was great. Quick to help but not intrusive. Food was delicious
Arriving a bit late as we are strangers in a strange land, the welcome from the staff was encouraging. The food was fabulous especially since they altered a dish for me as I am a gluten free vegan. Delicious! Everything exceeded our expectations.
This was an amazing restaurant, excellent choices/food and service. Will be back on our next trip.
What a gem! The food was delicious, the cocktails were yummy and the service was fantastic. We both had the clam chowder and it was literally the best chowder I've ever had. The atmosphere is great too; there was live music the night we were there and we both really enjoyed the artist.
We had reservations at 6:00. We were seated at about 6:10. At 6:30 we left as not one person had offered us water, a menu or even acknowledged us. That was in spite of at the restaurant having ample waitstaff present. We are new to Grants Pass and we were looking for a restaurant we could visit often. This is definitely not it!!
The music, food, and our server, Danielle, were all top notch! Can’t wait to go back! 👍
Took my parents there for their 50th wedding anniversary. Food was amazing best prime rib I’ve had. Service was on top of it I want to say the server I had I think his name was Max. He was amazing and made sure we had everything we needed . Will recommend to everyone to go there if they’re looking for fine dining!
Steak was very fatty.
We were not impressed with this restaurant. We made our reservations almost a month earlier and after we ordered what was on their holiday menu, which was quite expensive, we were told that they were out of loaded bake potatoes and could get mashed. Even though it said that our particular meal came with the loaded baked potato. Mind you our dinner reservation was at 5:15 pm! How do you run out of those at dinner time? We asked the our sever if he could give us a loaded mashed potatoes. He said yes and brought us a tablespoon of sour cream faith about 10 chives! That was it. That dish was$35 for rib eye with mashed potatoes and asparagus! We had to pay $5 more for a side salad. Also, they were also out of Crembrule! This was not a very happy Christmas dinner! I would not recommend this restaurant
Xmas day dinner. Great experience!
Classical guitar was an enjoyable surprise for a Christmas Eve dinner.
Awesome as always The meat was not as impressive as the other times we've been there but as always the atmosphere and service was outstanding.
It is a lovely setting, right along the Rogue River. The food was delicious and the service impeccable.
Service was amazing, hostess, server, bartender, the guitarist beautiful!!! The indoor ambiance could use a little love.
Great food, view, music and service! The manager Gibson came by and checked on us and was very pleasant! Love this place!
Good experience, will definitely be returning. Can't wait to use the patio when the weather is nice.
Food is always great. Live music is too. Best spot in GP for a great meal. Beer selection leaves a bit to be desired.
Melissa is fantastic! The food is great... the mac and cheese a bit questionable in flavor.
We were serenaded by Melissa and Scott... overall a perfect evening!
Good food just seemed a bit high priced for this area.
The food, ambience, wait staff and entertainment were great. Will definately by back.
We came to celebrate my birthday dinner - it was a wonderful experience!
Food was excellent and beautifully displayed on our plates ... service was top notch ! I was even given the choice of a Birthday desert !!
We have share our experience with others already and WE plan on making many more return visits !
We loved the view of the river. The building was very clean and music was at low volume.👍 We also liked the choice of music, very nice. The only issue we had was the water glass had a lipstick mark...my husband doesn’t wear chapstick. This was our first time there so we were a little concerned but the wine glasses were clean and our food was great. This is one of the nicest upscale places in Grants Pass, Or. We will be dining there again definitely.😉
Rivers Edge is our favorite restaurant. We go there with out of town guests and special occasions. The food is excellent and service is perfect. With a view of the Rogue River you cannot find a better restaurant in Grants Pass.
Great, cozy restaurant with super friendly staff. We enjoyed live guitar. Recommend the rack of lamb.
