Great food and amazing views of the rogue river! Service was fine.
We had a fantastic summer evening, the food and service were exceptional!
Beautiful scenery, great food, very pleasant and knowledgeable employees!
What a great experience! We sat on the outdoor terrace overlooking (and listening to) the river.
THE FOOD: We shared steamed clams for an appetizer - delicious, especially the broth. (Hint: ask for extra toasted bread to soak up the yummy broth). We each ordered the Shrimp Scampi and found it to be very light and citrusy as was the included house salad. THE WINE: We wanted to share a bottle of Pinot Gris but couldn't decide between the Roxy Anne for $29 or the Panther Creek for $25. Our waitress brought us a small sample of each and we chose the Panther Creek because it was so light and smooth.
THE ENTERTAINMENT: At about 7:00, as the evening breeze picked up, the live entertainment began and it added so much to our dining experience. The guitarist, named David Modica, played until 9:00. Wonderful!
PRICE: The entire evening cost about $100 - which included generous tips to both excellent waitress & guitarist. Not cheap, but worth it.
Delicious food and great location. Great spot for a date night.
Our out of town guests were very impressed. We will return for sure
What a beautiful private setting. Every table views the river, the music was delightful, and the food and service were outstanding. I'm so glad my co workers shared this destination.
Lovely dinner in an idyllic, outdoor setting overlooking the Rogue. Very enjoyable.
We sat outside with a beautiful river view. Excellent service. Prompt and professional. The food was fresh and tasty.
We really enjoyed the guitar player and especially when one of the waitress’s sang. We ill be sure to come here again when we are in Grants Pass
did not accommodate me with outside table, made the reservation online, no table selection. spent $81, for 2 no salad or soup, 1 half piece of little bread.
If you can't be floating the river, this is the next best thing.
With reservations seating was no problem, Social Distancing, cleanliness and masks were following recommendations !!! Just the BEST food, ambiance, and service to be found in GRANTS PASS. Celebrated my birthday here family from out of town. They enjoyed EVERYTHING they tasted and consumed. Weather was perfect! Guitarist was very talented and personable. Never disappointing for meetings or Special occasions.
Great food and service even during the Covid time. Everyone had masks on and service was excellent.
Terrific evening dining overlooking the Rogue River. What’s not to like about this restaurant? Enjoyed having a cocktail while soaking in the atmosphere. Noise level was basically non existent so could have pleasant conversation without shouting at each other. We both had seafood entrees that were terrific. We split a dessert and the kitchen divided it and both plates were garnished nicely. I highly recommend River’s Edge for a special occasion or just to treat yourself.
So disappointed with the rib eye. It was tough and dry even though it was ordered medium rare, (wasn't really medium rare, was leaning towards medium). Not my preferred temperature, but I expected it to at least be tender. It literally was the worst rib eye I can recall eating. Would not try it again at this place. My companion had the filet (ordered medium, it came medium rare). It was very tender and just about perfect. Enjoyed a lavender martini and the tender buttery rolls while perusing the menu. (had to ask for bread). Crab cakes were good but not extraodinary. The great river view from this place was what prompted me to try it.
Lovely views from the deck and most indoor seating. It was a chilly windy evening, sitting outside, the waiter was rather hesitant to light the heat lamp, so were happy to be gone, skipped desert... oh well. Might go back just to give them another chance. We will see...
My sweetheart and I had a great time with friends at our dinner at Rivers Edge ... We will see you all again real soon ... Thank you for the awesome and delicious food , the server was very friendly and helpful ... Loved the view of the river , we won’t wait so long to come back here , it was our first visit ...
One of our favorite restaurants in Grants Pass! We’ve never been disappointed.
The scallops are my favorite and the crab cakes are a must have.
Don’t let me forget the best clam chowder I’ve ever experienced.
Scott the guitar man is my favorite local performer!
Rivers Edge never disappoints. Okay, there was that one time when the bernaise sauce broke, but I digress. The staff and VM patrons have adjusted to the new post-Covid 19 protocols. Service was friendly, attentive, and the experience of dining on a beautiful Grants Pass evening as the Rogue River gently flowed by. I had the duck confit, my dinner companion had the shrimp scampi. Both were perfectly cooked and presented. The star of dinner , however, was the apple-pecan-blue cheese salad. Superb! I look forwardvto my next dinner there.
The food was fantastic 👏 and arrived right on time. I tried a sangria and wow was it great a new favorite of mine! Music perfect weather all made for a story book experience. Can't wait to go back!
Wonderful dinner, great service!
Always a great setting on the River. Food is very good but wish they would do more Vegan dishes.
Beautiful setting, great service and good food! We were treated to dessert for our anniversary. Best tiramisu We can remember anywhere!
Was impressed with the attention paid to Covid protocols. The wait staff were pleasant and efficient. The food was delicious!
We were seated immediately upon arrival. Outdoor seating was perfect, the waiter attentive, and the food was delicious.
We visited River's Edge for Father's Day. Prime rib sandwich and salmon were perfectly tender. Beautiful view from all tables and easy to distance here with the multiple levels. Nice visit to Oregon!
We were so happy to have been back to River's Edge since everything that has gone on. It appears they are back and busier than ever and we were so happy to see the community embracing one of our favorite restaurants.
Both my husband and I enjoyed the filets, his Oscar, and they were absolutely melt-in-your-mouth-delicious! Perfectly cooked and amazing. Worth the wait!
Food was superb. The atmosphere was perfect, and the live music was wonderful. They were out of several items we wanted, but the server handled it well with humor and panache, and and our desserts were paid for to compensate for any inconvenience.
The River's Edge is my favorite restaurant and until last night it had been a perfect experience. Although I had a reservation (for 3) my party had to wait 25 minutes for our table. Two filet mignons were ordered and both were over cooked. No, we did not send them back. For the last two visits the waiters have not frequented our table for drinks, condiments or the bill, even when they said they would be right back. I understand that the pandemic has turned the world upside down for businesses so I will not stop frequenting this one (I am returning on Sunday) however, I hope things improve.
We came here right when restaurants where opening after the Covid 19 stay in place was lifted so that maybe why things where not that great. That being said, the service to be seated was poor. The food was just ok for me with my plate with salmon being bland. My wife ordered their tomato basil soup and she felt it was like they poured tomato sauce and added some basil, way to thick and her iceberg salad she could not finish. The restaurant has a great view of the Rouge River, but me and my wife do not understand why they have such a high rating. Their prices and listing as "fine dinning " have us wondering if this is just a restaurant with a view in a tourist town that does not expect return customers.
Atmosphere of the restaurant, especially the outdoor sitting is wonderful. They were out of a lot of items, particularly seafood choices. We allowed that they probably have trouble estimating how much to order due to COVID. The food that we did get was amazing! Wait staff was super!
Our only complaint is that they did not enforce mask wearing of the guests standing in line to check in, or the people waiting to be seated. Around the wait area next to the checkin desk, people were very close together. When I went to the restroom, I had to squeeze through them. For this reason, I will not be back until they either follow COVID opening guidelines, or the pandemic is past.
The food is perfectly cooked. The live music is always nice. I never have any complaints.
Service started out a little slow, but picked up to an acceptable level. Overall a good meal and nice place.
Great service! Server was very attentive. Even though our reservation was set for 5:30, they seated us well before that when we arrived early. Food was phenomenal. The rack of lamb was just perfect as well as the salmon and the seafood fettuccine.
Salad and appetizer was Good. The dinner wasn’t good at all. Not sure if the sea food was old or cook too long?
Love it. Best restaurant between Ashland and Eugene by far. Frequenters try has live music. Both indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the river
With both of are birthdays on the same day it was nice to have been given a window view.
Both dinners were very good along with the service. The only downside was the distance to travel from Cave Junction.
My husband and I enjoyed a lovely dinner here for his birthday last week. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, the live music was delightful, and the view was gorgeous!
What a beautiful spot. We met a couple of friends while traveling through Grants Pass for an early dinner on the patio. We had the artichoke dip with crab starter and pasta Alfredo with seafood. Both were good. A glass of local Pinot Gregio was perfect. Our server was attentive. I was glad we had gone early as it got quite crowded when we were finishing.
An absolutely glorious day to dine on the patio of The River's Edge. The food, service, and view were sublime. The filet minon and Vegan dish were, as always, perfectly cooked and presented. This is our go-to place for special occasions and we have guest that come from California just to eat here.
Best ambiance in town! Always excellent food and service. Our favorite...
