River's Edge @ Sheraton Tampa Riverwalk Hotel
The only thing good about this restaurant is view.
There was a large group at the bar not far from our table. They were having a good time, but I would've liked to be farther away from the noise. Next time, I'll know what area to ask for. Great meal & service, though. Thanks!
No chef. Didn’t even get to eat dinner. Set a 5:15 dinner time because we had a show to be at for 7:00 pm. They wouldn’t seat us. One bartender overwhelmed. I have never been to a worse restaurant at a Marriott property.
I liked the location and the river's view. The food was fine.
Great place to have a nice casual dinner overlooking the river.
Service was extremely slow and the food came out cold lacking any kind of flavor as far as the sides. The main dishes were okay overall and it was way too cold.
we receive. It was not even a busy night and it was for a celebration so it was quite disappointing. There are many other highly rated restaurants in the area and I suggest looking around before making this your final reservations.
the filet mignon was the best!! the view was wonderful and service was great!!
Got to restaurant and then found out was closed for private dinner. Asked management for suggestions on other restaurants and they offered free shuttle ride. But then the shuttle was not running either. Eventually just went to Marriott’s Waterside Grill via Uber. Amazing service, food, and view. Would highly recommend Waterside!
We had no plans for Thanksgiving so we found this spot on Open Table. It is a very nice location, if you sit outside you are on a lovely patio overlooking the Tampa River, beautiful at night. I was disappointed that their turkey dinner was priced at a whopping $38.00 pp, a bit much for turkey, potatoes, vegs and dessert. So both my husband and I ordered off the menu: duck and sea bass. The food was very good and we saved more than $10.00 a plate by not ordering the turkey meal. The staff were all very accommodating and friendly. We would go back.
Restaurant is by the Riverwalk but unfortunately its food is too salty. I don’t like to waste food but just could have only a few bites of my soup and my entree since they were both terribly salty.
We were late because of traffic and needed to be out to make a performance - our waiter made sure we got out in time. Food was wonderful and price was excellent for a downtown hotel. Easy walk to the concert venue along the beautiful riverfront - we will go again
First time visiting Tampa. Wanted a restaurant with a wide variety of reasonably priced food. Food was delicious, service was great!
They changed their from Ashley Street Grill to River's Edge. The food was really good 😊
Convenient to anything downtown and a great meal. Really enjoyed our meal and the lobster Mac & Cheese is a must.
It was an ok meal but the a.c. wasn't working so it was hot and stuffy. Service was very slow, but friendly.
Undercooked calamari over seasoned grouper too expensive
Very nice, will come back.
The view of the river was very nice, the service was great, the food was acceptable. However, it was WAY overpriced.
Lobster Mac n Cheese is fabulous! And the burgers are wonderful - but skip the jalapeño bacon and just get regular if you don't like a lot of spice/heat!!
The entire staff were very nice and friendly!! To our surprise we were treated to two complimentary entrees. We were celebrating our 1 year wedding anniversary and that was a great surprise.
Food was mediocre and selection for brunch fairly limited for $30 per person.
Took a friend for her birthday.
Friendly server & nice atmosphere but need improved menu. She had the steak salad & I had the crab cakes. She said the steak was tender but just a plain salad. I would not order the crab cakes again unless they change the recipe. It had lump crab meat but not very tasty.
Enjoyed the view and people watching on the river walk as we ate our dinner. Our server was very attentive and friendly.
Very disorganized and unfriendly employees. No ambience.
No one greeted us upon arrival. Table was not ready . Bartender came to take us to table and then he just abrumptly left. We did not know where our table was . We were left standing in the middle of the restaurant . We were not told where our table was and what direction we were to go. When we found a table on our own , it was still dirty. I called someone over. The waitress that came to our table did not acknowledge us . Not even a hello. The waitress just started wiping the table , and as quickly as the bartender left , the waitress did the same and stood at the back of the Restsurant. We felt very uncomfortable and uneasy because of the lack of good service that we decided the food would probably be just as bad.
We stood up and left.
I would not recommend this restaurant at all until their employees realize the importance of good service to sustain customers.
There are only three maybe four tables service was very slow waiter did not come to the table and check on us very often I just didn't think it was worthy of the money that we paid for what we got I do not see a reason for us to come back
We have just moved to Florida so we're crossing your restaurant off her list and will not recommend it to her friends
My wife and I went there for our valentine dinner on Sunday evening at 7:15pm because we were not going to be able to have dinner together on Valentines day. We were sat next to the window in a nice quiet table and were enjoying our evening till about 30 minutes into our night for some reason a group of flight attendants were sat next to us at a semi circle table and they spoke some sort of European language and a couple of them were loud and extremely inconsiderate of anybody around them then another few came to the table and were all talking loud and laughing. My wife and I wondered why would the group be seated right next to a couple when there were many other seating options available and it appeared this group had been there before so management had to know what their actions were going to be.
From that point on it was hard to really enjoy what we expected to be nice evening together.
It made everything else not enjoyable so we left and went to a desert room to finish our evening.
There were four of us dining. I ordered a filet, but what I got was some sort of chuck steak that was tough. My husband ordered a pasta seafood dish that had very little seafood. Our son had a fish dish, I think it was grouper, which he thought was very good. Overall, we didn't think this restaurant was good and would never go back. Very surprised at the Sheraton.
Cory is an excellent waiter, in fact all waiters were excellent. It is a very polite, very welcoming, very warm place to have a quick bite to eat. The food was just excellent as well. A+ everything :-)
The restaurant was not very full so I do not know why it took
Food was good but fish was too salty. Waited an excessively long time for one dessert. When we asked the waiter about it, he said it was being "made". It was a piece of cheesecake and when it came out, it was frozen in the middle.
Waiter was excellent
The only thing I would say is that Valet parking can be shaddy. I was told that it was $25 for parking even after I told the individual I was there for Dinner only, only after I went to the atm to get the money another person told me it was free. Just a heads up that you don't have to pay if you are there for dinner.
Hubby & I enjoyed waterfront view. Service was professional and excellent! Had the mahi which was incredible! Cocktails a little pricey, but the food was absolutely delicious. Will be back again when in the area.
I was disappointed. Upon arrival no one to greet us. We stood for over 5 minutes without any type of greeting from the staff. A waiter finally approached us and asked if we had decided.. I said a table by the window. View was beautiful but service was slow and food did not stand out.
Check with the restaurant to ensure full menu is on offer. We were disappointed to not be able to offer from the full menu on our visit. The food was nice, however not what we hoped to order. Our server, Nicholas, was very kind and accommodating.
Very nice Mother's Day buffet brunch. Beautiful view of RiverWalk from the window seat. Nice bar and classy place. Plan to go back. Took a walk on the Riverwalk after brunch.
I was really looking forward to my first Mother's Day with my mom in many years, but this experience was lousy. We were not told that this would be a higher price Sunday with a brunch when we booked. Once we arrived it was too late to turn back. They sat us next to the buffet table with no view. All of our food was barely warm. The brunch price only included water, not even coffee or tea were included in the price. We definitely did not get our money's worth. The waiter was nice and that was about it. This was the most money for the worst Mother's Day I have ever experienced.
Enjoyed our time at the Rivers Edge, food was fresh and delicious. Great array of food for the value, only comment/constructive criticism would be the smaller pastries were frozen and thawed, you can get similar pastries in bulk at Sams Club, additionally vegetables were a bit tough, perhaps needed a bit more time to cook, but not inedible. Overall it was very nice, our server was prompt and kind. Really a great time.
