Riverhorse on Main Ratings and Reviews
The dinner and ambiance was lovely - but I requested my meal with no added salt. I have health issues particularly need to restrict salt. For just the two of us the bill was 300 - which is fine when the meal is amazing, but my beef was so salty I barely could eat it! Not sure why restaurants say they can adjust the menu to your liking - then they don’t. The ingredients should just speak for themselves and don’t need to be doused in salt. Overpriced for what we were served and so disappointed for the money. Great vibe though.
Riverhorse came highly recommended to me almost as soon as I moved to Utah, and it did not disappoint in any way. The service was as good or better than any service I’ve ever had, and having dined in similar fine restaurants in NYC, DC, and San Fran, Riverhorse stands out. The food was delicious, creative, and every dish we ordered exceeded our Expectations. The occasion was a dinner date with my Fiancé to celebrate our recent engagement and the night was perfect. I think we’ll make this dinner date at Riverhorse an annual New Years tradition!
Food and service were fantastic. We both had excellent salads to start (many options) and steaks to follow. Steaks were excellent and our only regret was not leaving room for dessert. We sat in the original dining, not the main room, and the noise level was appreciably lower. We could still enjoy the live music while conversing at normal levels.
We went for brunch. Biscuits were light and fluffy, the jam that accompanied them was amazing. The pumpkin bread was delicious, the butter served with it was not needed. Shrimp and grit were very good, but I would share them as it is a lot of the same flavor. The lobster bisque was too salty. The service was good, but there were some pauses and delays that were awkward. We were the last table seated and they were in transition for NYE celebration so I do not think that the service we received was reflective of what our server or the restaurant is capable of.
Simply THE BEST! This place has great service, great food, and also located in a really nice space. The food is just so much better than all the other good restaurants in Park City. We had the trout, the pork chop, and the filet. They were each so, so good. It is expensive, but it's worth the $$$$ if you want the best.
Overrated. Bartender and waiter were excellent — very attentive; coatcheck and hostess were snobby and aloof. The food was heavy, uninventive, and overpriced. Buffalo short rib was fatty and lacking the depth of flavor one expects from an overnight preparation. Crunchy burrata ravioli tasted like microwaved Olive Garden leftovers. My children loved their filet mignon and sesame tuna, which salvaged the evening. Owner/manager: don’t rest on your laurels... places like Tupelo, Handle, Yuki Yama and Grappa are setting a higher standard.
The food and service was excellent. I would recommend requesting a table in the main Dining room. The live entertainment is in that room and I like the atmosphere much better. We were seated at the table right next to the kitchen entrance. They have a screen up but it's still very busy at the table. I don't think you get the full Riverhorse experience in the side Dining room.
Excellent food, cocktails and service. They also had live music on Christmas (not sure if they always have a live performer but it was a nice touch). Also enjoyed the feel of the restaurant and the cocktail room you can wait in until your table is ready. Everyone working in the restaurant was extremely friendly as well.
Overall, just not worth the money. We arrived early for our reservation but we weren't seated until the exact time of our reservation despite open tables. Dinner was slow - over 2 hours. Food was good, not exceptional, and certainly not worth $45-$55 for entrees.
#1 Resturant in Park City. Reserved table ahead with a credit card to ensure the reservation. The staff were friendly . The food are delicious . We enjoyed our early Christmas family dinner together. Definitely, we will recommend to our friends to dine here.
Very nice decor especially for Christmas season. Nice wine list but pretty expensive. We have heard Utah restaurants pay retail prices then with the mark up they are expensive. Ask if you can bring your wine for a corkage fee. My husband had the three meat entree of buffalo, venison and elk, it was very very good. I had the lobster and scallops which was fine but clearly outshined by the meat selection. Nice server who was friendly and personable. We will return on a future trip.
