Location & ambiance is great. Food could definitely use some improvement. Mediterranean dishes yet not a single seafood item comes with lemon wedge.
The tuna tartare was very good. The grilled octopus, they should forget about that olive tapenade. Takes away from the taste of the meat. Grilled snapper very good size and price. Just very plain. I would recommend some salt pepper and for sure the lemon. Otherwise, I would totally come back the scenery is amazing and hopefully I can try more dishes next time

We want with friends for a Miami Spice. Had visited before for an event. Atmosphere is the best thing here with the outdoor seating (it appears that infoor seating had been eliminated and is now part of another restaurant)on the river. Service was solid, but short of excellent. Spice appetizers and mains selected were great but dessert was very disappointing. Would definitely visit again with group for occasion.

Really great venue! The view was awesome. The staff was accommodating & friendly. We ate brunch on a Sunday and we arrived right as they were opening. We had an extra person and they were able to add a chair to our table without hesitation or any additional wait time to be seated. I will be going back again!

We got lucky with our server, in reference to the service. Now the tables next to us were complaining, because how bad and slow they were. That is something they defiantly need to fix if they want to stay in business. Overall the restaurant has great ambiance and its in a great Miami location.

Typical Miami-style, overpriced, low quality, semi-fancy restaurant. Didn't even want to try it out, then I went since they were doing Miami Spice on Saturday. Little to my surprise, the Spice option was not even in the menu and we had to specially request it. Also, I am guessing when the waiter realized we were going to do Spice he served us the worst way possible. My wife ordered a salad and skirt steak: salad was plain and the skirt steak she had requested medium was not even well done, but partly carbonized. I had pork belly (good) and snapper (absolutely tasteless). Two out of the three desserts were not that good, only the macaroon was ok. Also, they automatically included a 20% gratuity (?!?!?!) after the waiter cared so little he didn't even bother refilling our waters in a steamy august Miami night. Horrible experience, will never go back here.

Four of us bought their Travelzoo deal Brunch For 2 $69 and the waiter did not want to honor 1 deal per couple, but just one in total. I requested a table closest to water but i was sat in the middle of the patio.
We were so disappoinment we left.

Is a very nice place with a wonderful ambience at the border of the Miami River. We went to have a taste of the restaurant during the Miami Spice month and the selections in the menu were fantastic, except for the dessert that was not memorable. So if you visit the place, skip the dessert and save the calories.

It is a great place for drinks and the bar looks amazing with a wonderful view of the city of Miami. Recommended for drinks and happy hours

Service was very good. Keep in mind that the place is expensive, allocate at least 50 dollars per person without drinks

I ordered a steak medium well but it came burnt and crispy in some parts.
I asked the server recommendations for drinks but he didn't know much about the cocktail menu. We ordered a bottle of wine, the server dropped one glass of wine on my mom dress. At the he just left the check on the table and no manager came at least to apologize for the accident or to check who the dinner was. The place is nice but they need to work on the service.

Definitely overpriced
The place lost the nice, warm and exclusve atmosphere it had when opened and now has been transformed into typical Miami crowd: fake boobs, high platforms, super tight clothes , heavy make -up, ...:at brunch tiimr?! For a yacht club?!
Not my kind of place

The restaurant is very well designed, taking advantage of the waterfront location. The tables are not crowded and the ambiance is very nice. The service is very good, attentive and pleasant. I found the food extraordinary. I tried Salmon crudo as an appetizer and snapper fillet as a main.
Both not only delicious, but with a lovely presentation.

Worst place to dine and service is really bad. Saturday (Aug. 5th) was my 26th birthday and I
was quite disappointed. My reservation was at 9.45pm and I still had to wait 45 mins to be seated and this was first time at this place. When I first walked in, the scenery was very beautiful and when I approach the host, her response was "Oh 3 people walked in before you and you can wait at the bar" even though i had a reservation at 9.45pm. After about 30 to 45 mins, I then ask the host how long will i have to wait for a table and from the expression on her face she seem to forgot about my reservation by asking what was my name. At the bar, no one has not served my date and I at all. I was shocked by the service because I am in the hospitality field as a Front Desk Supervisor and my concierge recommended this place. I did not have a chance to try the food and my birthday was ruined. I will never come back again.

Terrible service. Hostess was rude, took over an hour and half to get main course. We decided to leave instead of waiting any longer.
If i wanted to order a drink i had to chase server down, since he never came around. After we demanded that they clean up the appetizer plates (they would have left them there if we didnt say anything), they left us with the dirty forks and knives instead of bringing new ones.
A restaurant with this price level should reflect higher service. Terrible. Not worth it

Very hot night for outside seating. Miami Spice for dinner was fine with good fish entree. Our very friendly waiter disappeared too many times.....We did order drinks and 2 bottles of wine; but it is one of those places that id you are not constantly ordering patron shots and Champagne bottles the service starts to forget you are there......

It's an outdoor restaurant and not all the fans were on so it was VERY HOT. I think it's a good spot maybe for happy hour or stopping in from boating. It's a beautiful venue and very posh.

My boyfriend and I came here for a date night buying a gilt special. We were treated like second class citizens and only saw our waiter for a brief moment, when he apologized for not checking up on us. He followed up with not checking up the rest of the night then bringing us a drink on the house that he later charged in the bill. I will never go back to this restaurant.

This was my first time at the River Yacht Club and the experience was awful from the start. First, when we arrived there was nobody to greet us. We stood at the hostess stand for about 5 minutes before somebody came along. Then, it started raining, and since it's all outdoor seating, it was challenging to find a table that wasn't getting rained on. They tried to seat us at a table that wasn't stable on the ground and at the edge of the awning. We sat down and after 10 minutes nobody came by to welcome us, provide menus, pour water or even light the candle on the table. Then it started raining harder and we were getting wet, so we got up and awkwardly stood in the aisle and still nobody came by to assist us. We flagged down a waitress and asked to be seated further under the awning where it was dry. I ordered a vodka tonic and got gin instead. I would have sent it back, but our waitress barely paid attention to us. In fact, she only filled our water glasses once. I've never been to restaurant where the staff didn't refill water and you were left with an empty glass especially one that charges the prices this one does. It took a really long time for our food to come out as well. I will say the food was good. We each had an entrée and shared dessert. We were both pleased with our entrée. The dessert - chocolate cake - was ok, I've had better. One cocktail, two entrees and one dessert and the bill was about $200. Way over priced in my opinion. For that kind of money, I expect a much higher level of service. The overall experience was very disappointing. There are so many far better places to go to dinner in Miami that have better ambiance, better food, and much better service. Don't waste your money here.
