River Vine Cafe
The menu by John Ash & Co. restaurant Executive Chef Tom Schmidt showcases seasonal foods and produce from local sources, including the inn’s very own gardens.
The elegantly-rustic café features a circular dining room with expansive windows that open onto beautiful vineyards and gardens; a rock fireplace and wood ceiling beams that bring natural elements to create an inviting, warm, and comfortable ambiance; and custom iron ceiling light fixtures and walls sconces that add notes of elegance and grace. The café provides an array of seating options indoors and out, including quaint, smaller dining areas for intimate duos, as well as a private room for up to 80 guests for meetings or special events.
The guy at the front desk Bobby has such a warm personality. He went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. We truly appreciate his service and will be back!
beautiful outdoor seating area. Serves were extremely attentive without being pesty. Food was very very good, portion size was good We will be back
The food is always good here!
Excellent service, too!
The River Vine Café is on the lovely John Ash property. I have had lunch there many times and have always had a delightful experience. Dress casually, or dress up a bit, the staff is waiting to serve you!
Very attractive - and peaceful - environment. Friendly staff, diverse menu. A place in which to linger and enjoy.
Great service and delicious food
Our Wine Country favorite for breakfast and lunch!
My friend and I had an enjoyable, delicious brunch. The quality of the food was excellent and the service was particularly noteworthy. Thank you Elmer and Bobby. Highly recommend!
Simply awful experience at this overpriced restaurant. They refused us service even with an open table reservation because we had our well behaved small dog who is 12 lbs and we wanted to seat outside where dogs are allowed. We have brought our dog here in the past and there was no issue seating outside. The front desk woman was extremely rude and arrogant and spoke to us in a awful tone and asked us to leave!!!
We will never recommend this restaurant to anyone and will never be back again. The woman who spoke rudely to us should be fired
Bright my cousin for breakfast she was visiting from Southern Ca. We had out door seating and enjoyed the views. Put this on places to come back on her next visit.
Food was about average, a little too salt but the ambience was great!
Aside from the very high noise level the experience was very good: food delicious, service excellent and value very good. If they distributed the patrons evenly between the two dining areas it might have decreased the volume of the noise as it was clear that most patrons were there to converse with their friends/relatives.
Beautiful quiet setting with wonderful food. The service was wonderful too.
Expensive yet mediocre. I was disappointed with the quality of the food.
Everyone was very professional. The restaurant is very nice and the waitress was great and the gentleman at the front desk was super attentive. My brother loved his Ruben sandwich and I had the fish taco and it wasnt my favorite. We sat by the door to the back patio and they need to either keep it open all the time or have a door stopper of some kind. With going in and out the door slammed closed probably 40 times during our lunch so that was unfortunate. I will definitely go back and order something different and wont sit by the back door.
We ate out on the patio....overlooking the lovely garden!
This is the spot for a peaceful luncheon with friends. You can actually hear each other speaking while you eat beautifully prepared food from an extensive menu. This is the sort of place that used to be common, is now rare, and worthwhile choosing.
I've reviewed this previously. It's one of our favorite Wine Country restaurants for breakfast and lunch.
Jewel of a restaurant tucked next to a world class hotel. I’ve dined here at least a dozen times here since it opened and it never fails to impress.
We were able to eat outside on the patio. It was lovely! We had the Macro Bowl and it was excellent. Great service, friendly staff.
It was a Birthday celebration. The room was pleasant but the other the high ceilings it was a little noisy. The food was good and the presentation was impressive.
Beautiful setting and great service. The Waldorf salad was a bit bland but the fish tacos were outstanding as were the beignets. We will return.
Very nice except that no one was at the door to greet us. We had to go in and find someone to seat us. Otherwise, perfect.
I love to lunch and brunch at the Rivervine! The setting is so serene and lovely for outdoor dining and the staff is excellent. There are both breakfast & lunch options on the menu until 2pm. The lemon ricotta pancakes are fabulous for brunch and there are many lunch options from fish tacos to salads and burgers to soups to vegan options. Their gourmet version of grilled cheese & tomato soup is a favorite. I’ve never had a bad meal here, only meals that make me want to return for more. Plus you can charge your EV while you dine if you have one. Sweet!
Great place to bring dad for special occasions. Food was good service was nice. Good ambiance
We always have a good meal here.
Have eaten here several times!
My husband and I both chose the 'special' for breakfast which was Corned Beef Hash. It was the best we've ever had! The meat was super-tender with just enough fat to enhance flavour and presentation was good. The smashed potatoes are incredible, and together with caramelized onions the dish was a definite hit and was more than enough for us. Bellinis were great, we loved the complimentary scones with butter and jam and the coffee was excellent. i highly recommend this cafe, in a pleasant room with great service and lovely grounds to walk in.
My wife and I were there to celebrate our anniversary. Our experience was excellent. Wait staff were professional, discreet, but attentive. Food was delightful, the place has a nice ambience. Hats off to the landscape maintenance crews as well. A delightful experience.
The best brunch I’ve ever had!!
Everything was outstanding from the service, the view and the breakfast! I had the eggs Benedict, the best I’ve ever had. The potatoes were to die for, freshly squeezed oj.
Will be back again!
As usual, great service and food. General Manager does a super job. We will return.
From the moment Bobby greets you until you have your last taste, you feel like you are at a French bistro that is not rushed, provides great food, and can’t wait to assist you even more. Breakfast is farm fresh with little treats you would not have expected once you placed your order. Try the Salmon and bagel with roasted capers. It’s smokey flavor of trimmed salmon just melts in your mouth! Homemade blueberry jam.... a welcome scone are just some things that start you to ponder your next choice. No disappointments here, but reservations are helpful.
Very clean and efficient space All staff was very accommodating and most important the menu and food was very nice
River Vine Cafe is a beautiful place for breakfast. The food was very good and the service was impeccable. Sitting outside, we had a little issue with bees but it didn't affect our meal. With all the beautiful flowers and landscaping, I don't blame the bees for sticking around! I will definitely be recommending River Vine Cafe to friends and family.
The food is always amazing. Service could be a little slow sometimes but Bobby makes it happen. He is always there to help. The outdoor seating a very pleasant and quiet.
Great place in every way, highly recommended for brunch!
The only reason for a slightly lower ranking in service was the wait. Usually someone is ready to take our order and get our drinks quickly. Our server was delightful and accommodating just not as quick as usual. It certainly didn’t change our overall impression. Still my favorite place for breakfast or lunch.
Excellent restaurant , good ambiance , great menu selections , and great food
We had Easter brunch at River Vine Cafe and it was delicious and the perfect location for a small group. The restaurant was comfortable and decorated beautifully and the grounds outside were gorgeous as well. It was not super lively, but was a nice quiet place for a nice brunch.
I have found my new place to take friends and family. I look forward to trying the restaurant as well.
Food, staff, setting were perfect!
