   Was unaware of construction but still no problem getting in. Different bread, smaller than usual scallops and my favorite Baked Bree gone again from the menu. Baked ricotta no even close. Still as always great atmosphere and service. My son and I love it!

   I love this place, the atmosphere, the staff, the food. With it currently undergoing renovations everyone has done a great job at continuing to provide great food and great service.

   This is a favorite restaurant. It was not up to the normal standards. Our clam chowder soup came out undercooked and room temperature. We realize that they are under construction and had mentioned it to the waitress. She did apologize. They have also changed their menu removing a favorite dish shrimp scampi. It was just disappointing. After construction is completed, standards should be back to normal we are hoping.

   The food quality has gone down significantly. As someone who has been dining here over the past 15 years, I have no desire to return. The portions are so TINY! I was shocked. Typically, I enjoy the bread, but they changed that too. Very disappointed.

   Debbie is the best waitress! Love this place! Prices aren’t that bad. Definitely a must see. It’s just nice for a relaxing evening. My only complaint would be the hostess seated us and then she seated a couple with young children next to us when there were about 40 other tables open. That was the only downfall.

   Definitely some shrinkflation in the works, what used to be two pieces of lemon chicken is now one. Aside from that and the blue cheese on my salad everything was as expected, top notch.

    We were celebrating a birthday. Service is always excellent. Butternut Squash Bisque is the best we have ever had. In all the years we been coming to this restaurant, we have never been disappointed. This time pasta was undercooked but not bad enough to send back. It must have been an off night for the cooks.

    Dining at the River Crab is always a treat, whether for a special occasion or date night or just because. All the staff is always helpful, accommodating, friendly. The food and beverage menus are wonderful - as are the preparations. The bar and dining rooms are cozy, relaxing. The view right along the river is spectacular. Only wish we could spend the night at the Blue Water Inn more often. Thank you all again!

    Debbie our server was awesome. Food ehhh i had lobster and filet the lobster was luke warm at best. Potatoes and asparagus was cold. Without a doubt not the quality you would expect out of a higher end restaurant.

    I’ve been to many top end restaurants throughout the state of Michigan. The River Crab Is the best restaurant in the state. Everything from the starters, salads, soups, entrees, and desserts were expertly seasoned and had top quality ingredients. The service was impeccable with attentive and personable people on the waitering and hosting staff. The atmosphere is unbeatable with beautiful views of the Saint Clair river and freighters going by. There was not one personal want that was on unmet for my wife and I on our New Year’s evening dinner there.

    My wife and I have dined at the River Crab several times, and the service and food have been fantastic each time. You can't beat the view, as the restaurant sits at the shoreline of the St. Clair River. I only wish they'd have a fire in the fireplace during the winter months.

    Tiana (sp?) / “Tea”, was great. The Calamari and Tournedos of Beef were a BIG hits. Hard to find great dining in St. Clair County, River Crab is very good, could update from the “old tries and true” and climb a rung on that ladder. Wine List is perfect example of 2005… I’m sure large Supplier pressure from vendor(s)… Has become a small Holiday tradition with maturing kids. We’ll be back next year as it does delivery a fine meal.

    Our Christmas day dining experience was excellent. The restaurant was nicely decorated and our table location gave us a view of the Saint Clair River. Our server was very knowledgeable of the menu and wine list and helped us feel welcomed and special. The menu was diverse with a large wine selection. The room was warm and very comfortable. The best for last. The meal was nicely presented and left nothing desired with its superb taste. The River Crab is highly recommended.

    First time eating out on Christmas. The food was to die for!! Service was perfect and lovely view of the water. Bonus was i didn't have to cook or do dishes!! You get what you pay for as far as price. Couldn't do this if i had a big family but for the 2 of us it worked out great.

    Waited 15 minutes after reservation time. Understand but if late per their statement grace period. What about the other way around. Not asking for anything just irritated we were on time and had to wait 15 minutes.

    Thorough enjoyed a holiday meal at the River Crab!! Yummy perch, duck and snapper. Creative cocktails and decadent desserts! Crème Brûlée was perfect and so was the six layer carrot cake too.

    Was very disappointed. It took over an hour for our food. I ordered filet medium rare and it was cold by the time I got it. It was supposed to have potatoes and instead had rice. We also had ordered an extra side of potatoes. Who has rice with steak? What made me mad is that she didn’t ask us if we wanted something else instead of choosing for me. Explanation was that there were a couple large parties that ate it all. I’ve been here before and has always been good. I expected more for the price for sure. It was $150 for 4 and have had better food and service for half the price.
