River City Grille Ratings and Reviews
We went there for restaurant week and it was delicious! I was a little confused about the ambiance of the restaurant and their menu but we had no complaints. The pork wrapped in bacon special was amazing! They were lenient w their choices for RW as well. It’s weird that it’s in the same parking lot as a body shop but don’t let this steer you away!
I'd been meaning to try this spot for some time and finally did. Very pleasantly surprised. Nice ambiance, very good food from a diverse moderately priced menu and excellent service. Even my almost impossible to please 90 year old Mom was delighted. Highly recommend.
This continues to be my go-to place. It is consistently great food, I love the atmosphere and the servers are super attentive. What more could you want?
Oh, and I was raving about the butternut squash soup to the owner and he brought out the recipe for me. How nice was that...and no, it wasn't as good as theirs when I tried to make it.
My son is a cast member of a show taking place at Irvington theatre and he had 75 minutes between shows (4:45-6) and they had us out the door with no problems!! And the food was outstanding!! I loved the grilled chicken sandwich with the ginger orange marmalade!
Clean beautiful atmosphere, not to mention the soap in the bathroom which was sooo awesome that we bought two of them before we left (yes they sell it)!
Looks can be deceiving. The outside appearance - even with a fresh coat of gray paint - leaves you anxious - has the look of old diner, sitting next to a neighborhood garage. But the sleek modern interior comes as a pleasant surprise, and the food even more so. Fresh, elegantly presented. Great food, friendly service, I would go back in an instant, now that I know what the locals know.
This is our regular, "go to " local spot for excellent food and service. They hit the exact right note with a casual but upscale ambiance, warm and relaxed atmosphere. The dinner menu is varied, modern classics with a twist, seasonal specials, plus more casual fare. Nice bar with great cocktails. The management is terrific, always welcoming, and the staff is very attentive.
This was the first time we tried the restaurant and we did so based on the reviews. We were 't disappointed. The service was great and drinks and food were delicious. We did go at 5:00 so the noise level was at a minimum. It was definitely noisier when we left and the restaurant was about half to three quarters full.
You should note that the parking lot adjacent to the building is tiny, but there is additional parking across the street.
We will definitely go back.
