Absolutely perfect dinner and wonderful environment!!
Cannot wait for our next dinner there!!!
This restaurant has a menu where everyone in your group can find something to eat. i always enjoy dining here.
Visited the River City Grille today for lunch! I live in Mahopac but was meeting my girlfriend who lives in Bronxville. Read the reviews here and on Yelp , checked out the menu and decided to visit. My lunch, the Shrimp Tacos was delicious.. My girlfriend had the chopped chicken salad which she loved as well. It was quiet fir lunch, it is summer and a sunny day ... However , this allowed my girlfriend and I to catch-up abs enjoy our lunches without feeling rushed! The waitress was so attentive!
Will definitely return with my husband soon
Excellent food, reasonable, tasty and healthy. Service was terrific, no rushing but attentive. Altogether a very good evening.
Our waitress was inept and unfriendly. My
Drink came wrong and my salmon was raw,
We made our reservation online through Open Table and it asked us if we wanted to sit at the counter. That made us think there was an open kitchen and we always enjoyed are meals in that kind of setting. The counter turned out to be the bar and that changed the experience we expected.
They need to change their dining options
ALways a great meal in a comfortable setting.
Really disappointed by this restaurant. The menu on OpenTable didn't match their offerings, the food is edible, but only barely and the decor leaves a lot to be desired.
Had a lovely Father's day brunch. Food was amazing. Everyone enjoyed everything! Will definitely come back.
Always enjoy River City Griile - good menu, nice selections and good service
Friendly staff, attentive wait crew, food is tasty, flavorful and very nicely presented.
Always enjoy River City Grille and last night was no exception! I heartily recommend it.
Very good service and good food. Good value as well.
We always thought it was a diner so passed on going there. We browsed through the menu online and decided to give it a shot. We finally dined there on Friday evening. We were seated and served by Abraham. We chose fried calamari and the pot stickers (for appetizers) and ate the mushroom ravioli, grilled fish tacos, shrimp linguini, and two sides of sauteed spinach. The home made ravioli pasta was a bit cheesy though full of alot of mushroom. The linguini was good as was the fish tacos. The portions are slightly bigger than we expected. The raviolis had 12 each. We were quite full and happy we went and expect to return and try other dishes.
Food was fabulous and service was great. There were 2 very loud tables near us. Just the luck of the draw I guess.
Food was excellent, service was good but acoustics were poor. Loud conversation at a nearby table made it difficult for us to hear each other. This was the second time we were seated at this particular table and this was a problem last time, too.
Great food, ambiance and service!
Chickpeas bites are so delicious and must have!
Fabulous! I had the veal special and it was sooooooooooo good. My daughter had the filet and it was prepared to perfection. I forgot how good this place is. I have to put it back on my short list.
A great find!
Lovely atmosphere , delicious food and great service !
We were 4 people and we liked it the owner was so friendly and welcoming but there were some small things.
One dish came with only carbs on the side. Potatoes and polenta. Should have greens - we actually mentioned it and that may change.
The split salad was tiny.
The service was every friendly but spotty and that is not good when it was not really crowded.
Still, I’d go back. Worth more tries.
My kids and I took my wife and mother here for their “Mother’s Day Brunch”. Everything we ordered was amazing from the calamari and chicken quesadillas for appetizers to our main course. The service was outstanding and servers extremely attentive. The male host was friendly and looked like “Baby Driver,” but you weren’t looking to make a quick getaway from this meal! We highly recommend it and are looking forward to returning for another high quality dining experience.
Excellent food and service for Mother’s Day Brunch.
A bit pricy @38. Per person (coffee extra)
Would definitely recommend it
Great service. Great food.
Every person at the restaurant was welcoming and friendly. The bartender was excellent! Great old fashioned! The food was fantastic!
I keep wanting to love this restaurant and I just don't. I've given it many chances to wow me and it has consistently fallen dramatically short. The service is erratic at best and on this most recent visit it was horrible. Yes, it was a busy Sunday with a huge party in the back, but this has been my experience on other occasions. The orders came wrong and my food didn't arrive for 15 minutes after the rest of the party was served. It really made our gathering very uncomfortable and tense. It's INCREDIBLY noisy there (although the decor is gorgeous, but all the wood makes it super loud).
Expect high prices as well. I think it was my last visit. :(
From start to finish, exceeded expectations! The servers, managers and host were wonderful. The food was delicious and drinks were executed with perfection. Will be coming back often!
Great food and service. Everything was delicious!
Our go to place, consistently great!!! The staff us attentive abd the food is delicious . Lots of choices, something for everyone. Must try!
Went with 2 friends and we all enjoyed our dinner. We had Cauliflower soup and the mixed baby greens salad as well as fired calamari for starters, all very good. My friends had the orecchiette and blackened cod and raved about those dishes. I had the special sword fish with corn and snap pease. The dish was a good combo but swordfish was overcooked and thus a bit on the dry side. Too bad. The toasted Almond Cake ws amazing and the sorbets were quite good as well. We will be back.
River City Grille is always a good choice. The menu changes frequently with innovative dishes. The food is consistently good and the service always attentive. I will say however, it can get pricey. If you have an appetizer, main course and share a bottle of wine, the bill easily goes north of $100. Still, a great venue for great food.
chick pea bites and thai beef salad is always delicious!!
This is a hidden gem of Westchester, but to those in the know. A must dining experience. I had the Lamb Chops last Saturday. They were cooked to perfection, while my wife had the fish with chorizo, which was also excellent. The fried chick peas are amazing. Portions are so perfect. Apps, and small bites enough to share, and entrees, huge. The tacos, were one better than the next. Some great wine choices both by the glass and the bottle.
Nice local restaurant, consistently good food. Comfortable noise level to have conversation at the table.
Decent place right on the road with easy parking...was pretty empty on the Tuesday night we were there, which was nice.
The food was delicious and well prepared. Service was friendly and efficient. Highly recommend the bread pudding for dessert. It was light and flavorful.
Very nice atmosphere, friendly and on time with my reservation. Waitress was very kind, patient and sweet.
We were in town visiting my Mom for her 92nd birthday.....we always look forward to dinner at the RCG! There was not a crumb of food left on our plates! YUM!
We went for restaurant week. We were seated at a very tight table next to the hosts, and we're told another 2 top table which was empty had been reserved. No one showed up the entire time we were there. The food was very good, but the service was awful. Waiter wanted to know what appetizer we wanted without even offering a drink, then he completely disappeared, couldn't get a check, or get him to pick it up. The hosts standing talking to one another next to us oblivious, had to be asked finally to take the check.
Great find....and amazing food and service! I had the mushroom ravioli and meatball side. And a lovely blackberry muddled mint bourbon cocktail!
