Food was terrific, service was terrific. If you’re looking for a place to go for a romantic dinner, don’t go here on White Linen Night. That was our mistake, can’t speak on the atmosphere on regular days.
It was a cool brunch. Food was just okay. Service was slow, even with a reservation. Nothing spectacular about the food, but the drinks were good.
Meeting with friends. Great food and ambiance.
The food was delicious, it arrived promptly on a busy day, too! The whole menu looked incredible. Pretty fair prices for the brunch as the experience was really enjoyable.
This was our first time here, and we'll definitely be back. The boudin corndogs were tasty, but lacked the spice that I expect from a good boudin. Our group ordered a dry-aged ribeye, Wagyu flank steak, redfish, and chicken fried ribeye, and all were delicious. The chicken fried ribeye is a MUST!! For dessert we went for the pecan pie and were blown away - one of the best I have had.
Can’t believe I haven’t eaten here sooner! The food was delicious. The service was impeccable. The portions were huge. And the drinks were fresh. Will definitely be coming back very soon!
Thx! Service was great
The atmosphere was casual but professional. The service and food was top notch. A lot of great selections I want to get back to try. We had the boudin stuffed shrimp, crab cake, picnic board and banana pudding and all were excellent choices. I look forward to returning.
We celebrated my friend's birthday. Food was good, and they brought her the churros.
If you love meat, this is the place to go. I recently decided to scale back on meat and there aren't many options without meat. I chose the crab cake benedict. It was very good.
Good service and food was spot on
We’ve been repeat customers at Ritual for the last few years, but recently the service has gotten to an unacceptable level. They also have raised prices and removed favorites from the menu. We will not be coming back any time soon.
Although my children enjoyed their meal: fried chicken and waffle, and chicken fried steak, I searched for a lighter fare and selected the Campechana with a side of Brussels Sprouts. The Campechana was bland; the Brussel Sprouts were pretty good. I’ve been to this establishment before and ordered a vegetarian dish, which I recall was unimpressive. The reason I returned is because my children really enjoyed their hearty meal. If you’re searching for a heavy meal, this place will hit the spot!
I have enjoy this restaurant for both business and personal in the past, but this outing for business was not a good experience.
Excellent menu - highly recommend the red fish with fried oysters. Calm night as most folks are likely returning from the holiday. Great job Server Douglas
I was pleased with the food but I was expecting much better for the price. The lobster Mac and cheese was delicious, and pricey, the mash potatoes were rich and tasty, but the steak was mediocre at best for the price. I've had more delectable steak for the same price so I was rather disappointed. I will return, but not for the steak. I tried one mixed drink from the menu, the Shiply, but wasn't too impressed either. It did the job but it tasted a bit watered down.
I took my brother for brunch/breakfast, it was his first and last time. Our experience was awful! He ordered The Standard, I had Biscuits and gravy and I ordered a cup of seafood gravy to start. The waiter never brought a drink menu so we only had water. We also had to ask for menus twice, the ones on the table were empty. When we ordered I asked specifically for my cup of seafood bisque/gravy to come first. Unfortunately all the food came out altogether and all the food was ice cold. The food tasted like it had been sitting out for a while. Biscuits and gravy tasted terrible. We spoke to waiter he just apologized, never got a manager nor tried to correct the issues. We wasted money on food that was inedible. We told the hostess on our way out and wanted to get us a manager, but after wasting and hour and forty five minutes we just didn’t bother. We let them know they were serving cold food and left. I was embarrassed because my brother had never been and was excited and we ended up severely disappointed.
Food and service were excellent!
The brunch was excellent! We ordered the Houston Breakfast Extravaganza and it was perfect for two people everything was delicious. Our waiter was amazing and the ambiance was great! We will definitely be returning!
Absolutely loved everything about it! The food, the drinks and the atmosphere were perfect for our laid back date night!
Be prepared to pay about $125+ per person, but you'll get an exceptional meal with outstanding service. Their meats are incredible, sides are clever, and wines are great. The place is nicely appointed and a bit noisy, but not so much that you can't have great conversation. It's a great special occasion stop.
Amanda was our server at first and she was very unenthusiastic. Mara saved our night!!!
Went there on date night. Server was awesome. Pork belly and Gumbo were outstanding. GM Gabe even came by to say hello. Good for you Gabe!!!
Ritual is consistent in quality, promptness and service. I usually get a salad and pick off other people’s plates. This time I had the watermelon salad. Always good and fresh. Any restaurant operated by Ken Bridge is going to be a hit with me.
The kitchen was slow and the first manager was unprofessional abrupt and arrogant about the service I usually love this place but the service was awful
Had a reservation at 9:15, could not get seated due to people sitting at the table we were supposed to have. Had the manager sit us at 4 person table due to still waiting at 9:45. Then took 10 minutes for a server to come to our table. Thankfully the food was great to make up for it and they gave a free desert for a birthday.
I would say that the death by gumbo was very delicious but everything else was very mediocre. We ordered the seafood tower as well as the also the angry bird. The chicken had good flavor but was dry. The corn bread waffle was eh dry. The service was alright had a waiter who was very forgetful and not as attentive as we would have liked. Keep in mind i was not to busy either.
Went for brunch and was pleasantly surprised that there was no wait. The parking is sufficient and the condition of the lot is fair - no gravel surface or potholes to contend with. Inside, the restaurant is spacious and the decor is pleasant without being too contrived. Food was very tasty - especially the chicken fried steak - and reasonably priced and the wait staff were exceptionally attentive and very friendly. I would definitely go again.
Nice vibe. Very, very loud. Food and drinks came out very slowly. Our waitress was nice.
The server was great and attentive. The food was delicious.
Wouldn’t come here for an anniversary. Don’t bother. No comparison at all to Steak 48, Pappas Bros or B&B Butchers. This place is nothing special. Ok if you just want a steak and chill. Really not a flavorful steak. I had the filet and my husband had the Wagyu Ribeye and the steaks lacked flavor. My steak was supposed to be medium and it was medium well. Bar drinks were blah. Dirty martini was not good and came without olives. After I asked for olives, the waiter took my drink and brought it back with very hard olives with pits. We asked about a wine on the wine list and 2 waiters could not give clear information or recommend one wine over the other. One of the waiters did go to the bar tender to ask and the bartender just said one was bolder than the other. The restaurant was not very full at all for most of the evening.
Great food, highly recommended the filet!
Birthday dinner was perfect!
Amazing food, attentive service with only a slight lag. AC was on full blast, so bring a sweater!
Came here for a Father’s Day dinner and everything was fantastic! This is a favorite spot of mine and I was finally able to have my parents drive out to visit, they loved it too.
This place is by far our favorite restaurant in Houston, our three favorites are the pork belly appetizer, the charcuterie board, and the chicken fried steak. But We have yet to try a dish we don’t love. Always impeccable and attentive service.
It was absolutely amazing!! Would love to repeat, food was delicious, service excellent and the place is just beautiful
It was more casual then classy. Food was ok
Not many vegetarian or lighter options, but very good for a brunch with southern flare. Service was very good and ambiance is inviting. The outdoor patio is especially cute.
