The Rita's and Cosmo were amazing. Due to the heat, we all stayed with cold salads and Shrimp cocktail. We had a small pre-wedding gathering, enjoying food and company where we were treated like royalty! The service was wonderful and the complimentary fruit and chocolate desserts from the chef himself!
One of our favorites
Food was very good. Service staff was disorganized, but we are just recovering from lockdown. First there was confusion about who was our server. Someone took our drink orders but didn't bring them; another person then came to take our drink orders. No bread provided but you can purchase a bowl of tortilla chips. They really vacuum the money out of you here. We had only one alcoholic drink and one appetizer and one dessert, but the total for dinner for four was $180. All the waiters are wearing black masks and uniforms; once the sun sets it's really hard to know which server is which. If the service improves, it will again be a good place for a special occasion. Cheesecake was good, wonderful outdoor setting, pleasant music.
Suggestion: buy masks in multiple colors so you can identify your servers!
We sat outdoors and it was lovely
Service is always excellent
Menu has been reduced but still nice choices
I liked the prior one better tho because it offered more variety
Went for diner and had guacamole and salsa/ chips and chicken enchiladas
Food was very good. Excellent service .
Draft beer was cold
Enjoyed the evening--great atmosphere
The ambiance of the outdoor dining and food were outstanding!
I tried to book a table using open table. There was only 5:00 or 8:00 pm available. I tried to call for a table but couldn’t get past the answering machine which promised to call within 48 hrs. We ate at 5:00 but the facility was never close to being full. I asked the receptionist what I had such a hard time getting a table and she seemed extremely unconcerned with my problems. There are too many other places around with better food and available seating.
Food was very tasty and the portions were quite large, considering it was still happy hour servings.
Ambiance was lovely and the service was attentive and speedy. The only issue which detracted from our enjoyment was the proliferation of flies which landed on our food and drink glasses. I'm not sure how the restaurant could have solved that issue. Perhaps next time we might choose indoor dining!
A little disappointing this year. Prices went up and quality went down. Over $60 for a cup of soup, two bowls with some rice, beans etc and the steak in it was chewy. For that price you’d think tortilla chips would be included but those were $18 extra. Love the resort and staff but won’t be eating on property again.
The JW Marriott/ Camelback Inn has long been one of our most favorite places to visit. Rita’s Cantina, likewise, was our “go to” place; loved the casual vibe, the excellent service, and the food. Sadly, we have had two occasions now, where they have really fallen down. After a round of golf at the Marriott course, we arrived for our lunch reservation at 1:50. Because our waitress didn’t get to us to place an order until 2:00, we were no longer able to order lunch— and had only the Happy Hour menu to choose from. The choices were minimal, although the food was fine. But after driving an hour to golf there, and to enjoy what used to be, the wonderful Marriott experience, we left frustrated and disappointed. It will be some time before we give it another go there; just too many other choices available...
A great meal at a great spot!
Such a beautiful place with amazing food and the view of Camelback Mountain is awe inspiring.
Delicious food & great atmosphere!
Lovely brunch! Great location and the food was excellent!
This was our third visit to Rita's during our stay. The food and ambiance was great each time.
Arrived for a milestone birthday celebration. Everything was excellent here! The ambiance, food, drinks, service, was all five stars. Staff members were friendly and kind. They were easy to approach and were eager to accommodate us. Unforgettable.
No spectacular Sunday Brunch Buffet. The menu was limited. Nothing special or creative on the menu. Had we known we would have gone elsewhere.
We love Rita's for the ambiance, the views, the staff and the food!
Always a delicious meal. The surroundings are incredible. The service was perfect.
Food is good. Service is great. And while we LOVE that they have live music, it is simply not consistently good. This past time, the music was too loud to enjoy conversation- and we were outside, seated far from the stage, to give you an idea of how loud it was. Also, it would be really helpful if they posted on their website who is playing. While we typically love the genre of music, some of the performers are really not for us. It would be nice to know ahead of time who is playing.
Very nice and comfortable outdoor dining.
Wonderful brunch experience at Rita’s Cantina at JW Marriott. Live music outside, delicious food, shaded seating, beautiful floral and water features. We were warmly greeted by several people including Niki, Rachel, and Orlando, and our server was Rita, and she was amazing! Ty spent extra time with my sons and they loved interacting with her. I highly recommend!
Great brunch except for the grilled cheese and the hamburgers for the kids are VERY small. My kids could have ate two.
Lonely brunch, outside patio. The musician was a little loud, but not too much. Crab Benny was a good portion to split, and the house made Prosecco is fantastic!
Beautiful brunch on the patio! Loved the ambiance, presentation, service, and setting. We weren’t rushed and were able to linger over our breakfast. Could not have been a better experience!
We love to come to Rita’s. Only complaint is the outdoor tables are poorly lit throughout. Table candles would solve this problem. Hard for waiters and our guests to see
Food was great !!! Vibe was great!! Service was great !!!
Food was average and waiter service was spotty. Ambiance was amazing and the live music added a nice touch.
We were staying at the JW Marriott Camelback so we thought we’d eat on property our first evening there.
Ambiance: the outdoor patio seating is cute with overhead lighting and a fantastic view of the mountain. Weather was in the 80s in the evening so it was perfect. It was definitely crowded but the noise level was fine.
Cocktails: we ordered the Sangra-Rita which was overpowered by the cinnamon and the Pear cosmo which was sickly sweet. We barely touched them.
Appetizer: the chips trio was fine.
Food: we both ordered the cup of tortilla soup. It was served warm so we returned it to be heated up. It was tasty once brought up to temp.
Salads: we each ordered a small salad. The green salad was barely dressed and nothing special (the server recommended it). I was told the wedge salad was just ok as well.
Service: friendly but a tad slow. But it was a busy evening.
For almost $100 I’d recommend going for the view but not to eat dinner there. Although we didn’t have an entree (they were out of what I wanted) so I can’t comment on that. But I felt it was way overpriced for the very mediocre food and drinks we did have.
Note: we did have breakfast there the following morning. And the pancakes were good.
We were staying at Camelback Inn and pretty much eating there for most of our meals. This was our last evening, and my husband had the tortilla soup, and I had the lobster quesadilla. My husband said it was the best tortilla soup he has ever had, and we live in the area, and he eats tortilla soup quite a bit at many restaurants. They were out of lobster, so substituted shrimp instead, and it was still a delicious quesadilla. We had the almond panna cotta for dessert, and it was delicious.
The ambience at Rita’s is so nice, with the outside seating available, at the upscale patio, with all of the beautiful flowers and live music.
As I said, we live in the area, and use Camelback Inn for many staycations, and always enjoy the Rita’s restaurant there.
Mother’s Day is always great at Rita’s but excited to get the buffet back! Nothing better!
We really enjoyed our meal with you folks, and we will be back again and recommend you to our friends.
Perfect margueritas, and awesome food. Great seating and good live music.
We always enjoy coming here, sitting outside, listening to live music while enjoying great food and service! Thank you 👌🏻
Happy hour was awesome. We split three apps and they were all amazing. The margaritas are 1/2 off during happy hour and taste amazing.
Great lunch date
Beautiful property and great live music! The steak was fantastic! And we loved the queso appetizer. It was a spendy dinner but worth it. Apricot cocktail was delicious too!!
Excellent food and view. Service was excellent despite how busy they were. Highly recommend
