Outside dining was not available when we arrived but later people were seated outside and the ambiance there was excellent.
Rita’s chicken enchilada was excellent.
Price on the higher side but it was worth it
My one concern is I was charged for a tab that was not mine in the amount of $190. My tab was $90. My server promptly addressed with the manager and my charge was supposedly adjusted, but the $190 charge still shows on my debit statement and the correct charge for $90 does not show at all. I’m hoping the adjustments will just take a few days to clear through my bank.
Amazing dinner. Staff was incredibly kind. Excited to come back.
Great food and great service! We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the attentive staff. Looking forward to returning on our next vacation.
Very good food and very attentive service.
Perfect service and delicious food. Gigi and Orlando are charming. The whole staff will care for you and ensure you have a good start to your day.
We were pleasantly surprised by Rita's Cantina. 4 dinners, all really good! Great margaritas, the creamed corn is delish. The food is creative and really good!
If all of the dishes would’ve gotten as much thoughtfulness and attention as the steak, this would be the best meal I’ve had in a while. Service was okay but we didn’t get much time with our server. Bar area was too loud for a date at this price point. Would sit in the dining area instead. Churro cheesecake to go in our hotel room was excellent.
Excellent food and service, gorgeous views!
We always enjoy our time here, views and service are wonderful, thank you.
The device was spot on and the food was excellent. We would recommend Rita’s to anyone looking for a lovely evening!!
Excellent view, even after dark. Great service and food was excellent.
We chose to eat outside Sunday, which was a poor choice due to heat! Certainly not any fault on the resort. Have eaten many times at Rita’s and enjoyed everything about the venue!
Ambience was perfect, live music, stars and twinkle lights. Food wasn’t that great considering we border Mexico. I expected to see Tacos or Shrimp dishes etc. Margarita was sub par. Drinks at the steakhouse were on point and we simply carried our drinks to Rita’s.
Fantastic food and atmosphere
Awesome ambiance. The food was priced for the type of restaurant it was, but there wasn’t anything to write home about. Actually a little disappointed in the dishes. Had the cheese chorizo dip and the sauce tasted and looked like nacho cheese from a can, had the wedge salad, which wasn’t a wedge at all but they used butter lettuce and drenched it in dressing, had the flat iron steak which wasn’t seasoned and the corn hash underneath had a weird texture. Our server, Juan Carlos was amazing and everyone that worked there was super nice.
Classic spot with consistently great food, drinks and service!
The only reason I gave it less stars is because we went there for the amazing brunch for fathers day only to find out it was not buffet but just a simple menu. I wish I would have known that ahead of time. Lots of places are doing buffets where the servers help and I feel that Marriott should have done this. But as always the service is great and the food is delicious!
Father’s Day brunch. The service is always amazing weather you’re staying at the resort or just dining with them. One of our favorite places to go as a family.
We are guests of the resort. The food and drinks are excellent. Service too!
Overall good experience, but both of our entrees were incorrect.
Not a good renovation. Rita's is not the place to go for a quiet dinner anymore. Hard dining room surfaces make the space very loud (we could not even hear the guitar player in the bar let alone ourselves speaking). And the decor of western vignettes appeared clumsy and meaningless. The service was fine, but the food only fair and was overpriced.
Great patio seating over looking the beautiful grounds of JW Marriott
The Rita's and Cosmo were amazing. Due to the heat, we all stayed with cold salads and Shrimp cocktail. We had a small pre-wedding gathering, enjoying food and company where we were treated like royalty! The service was wonderful and the complimentary fruit and chocolate desserts from the chef himself!
One of our favorites
Food was very good. Service staff was disorganized, but we are just recovering from lockdown. First there was confusion about who was our server. Someone took our drink orders but didn't bring them; another person then came to take our drink orders. No bread provided but you can purchase a bowl of tortilla chips. They really vacuum the money out of you here. We had only one alcoholic drink and one appetizer and one dessert, but the total for dinner for four was $180. All the waiters are wearing black masks and uniforms; once the sun sets it's really hard to know which server is which. If the service improves, it will again be a good place for a special occasion. Cheesecake was good, wonderful outdoor setting, pleasant music.
Suggestion: buy masks in multiple colors so you can identify your servers!
We sat outdoors and it was lovely
Service is always excellent
Menu has been reduced but still nice choices
I liked the prior one better tho because it offered more variety
Went for diner and had guacamole and salsa/ chips and chicken enchiladas
Food was very good. Excellent service .
Draft beer was cold
Enjoyed the evening--great atmosphere
The ambiance of the outdoor dining and food were outstanding!
I tried to book a table using open table. There was only 5:00 or 8:00 pm available. I tried to call for a table but couldn’t get past the answering machine which promised to call within 48 hrs. We ate at 5:00 but the facility was never close to being full. I asked the receptionist what I had such a hard time getting a table and she seemed extremely unconcerned with my problems. There are too many other places around with better food and available seating.
Food was very tasty and the portions were quite large, considering it was still happy hour servings.
Ambiance was lovely and the service was attentive and speedy. The only issue which detracted from our enjoyment was the proliferation of flies which landed on our food and drink glasses. I'm not sure how the restaurant could have solved that issue. Perhaps next time we might choose indoor dining!
A little disappointing this year. Prices went up and quality went down. Over $60 for a cup of soup, two bowls with some rice, beans etc and the steak in it was chewy. For that price you’d think tortilla chips would be included but those were $18 extra. Love the resort and staff but won’t be eating on property again.
The JW Marriott/ Camelback Inn has long been one of our most favorite places to visit. Rita’s Cantina, likewise, was our “go to” place; loved the casual vibe, the excellent service, and the food. Sadly, we have had two occasions now, where they have really fallen down. After a round of golf at the Marriott course, we arrived for our lunch reservation at 1:50. Because our waitress didn’t get to us to place an order until 2:00, we were no longer able to order lunch— and had only the Happy Hour menu to choose from. The choices were minimal, although the food was fine. But after driving an hour to golf there, and to enjoy what used to be, the wonderful Marriott experience, we left frustrated and disappointed. It will be some time before we give it another go there; just too many other choices available...
A great meal at a great spot!
Such a beautiful place with amazing food and the view of Camelback Mountain is awe inspiring.
Delicious food & great atmosphere!
Lovely brunch! Great location and the food was excellent!
This was our third visit to Rita's during our stay. The food and ambiance was great each time.
Arrived for a milestone birthday celebration. Everything was excellent here! The ambiance, food, drinks, service, was all five stars. Staff members were friendly and kind. They were easy to approach and were eager to accommodate us. Unforgettable.
