Happy hour was awesome. We split three apps and they were all amazing. The margaritas are 1/2 off during happy hour and taste amazing.
Great lunch date
Beautiful property and great live music! The steak was fantastic! And we loved the queso appetizer. It was a spendy dinner but worth it. Apricot cocktail was delicious too!!
Excellent food and view. Service was excellent despite how busy they were. Highly recommend
I have always loved this restaurant. And, I wanted to love it still. Unfortunately, this last experience has changed my mind.
I had a friend in town this past weekend and I wanted to give her the best Arizona dining experience. Rita's has always been a favorite to bring out of town guests to. The sunset views, live music and fantastic menu made it a win-win all around.
This past Friday, my friend treated us to a spa day and I wanted to treat for dinner as a thank you. The sunset was spectacular, the music was so good, and such a great vibe. Unfortunately, the food was terrible!
The menu changed since my last visit. And, not in a favorable way. It is a much more limited now and when I tried to order the shrimp enchilada, I asked if they might accommodate my dietary restrictions so I could enjoy it. For the first time I can remember, a nice restaurant, or any for that matter, refused right off the bat to even try. The server didn't even go to ask. He just told me I should pick something else. And I quote, "There are other things on the menu you could choose from if you can't have the enchiladas." I was stunned.
So, in all, I paid $120 for a meal I couldn't eat without worry.
I still recommend Rita's for the sunset, the drinks and the live music. But, I would now suggest grabbing dinner somewhere else before.
The food was very pricey for what you got and extremely average tasting.
An excellent place to dine--either lunch or dinner. Outside dining is really special. I really enjoyed my experience.
The views and the outdoor space were beautiful. The food was good and the drinks were fantastic.
Great patio. Live music service was basically nonexistent food was ok nothing to bring you back
Four of us went for brunch on Sunday to Ritas. We had enjoyed it in the past, but this experience was terrible. First the atmosphere...they jammed us into a section of the patio which was really busy, so that we could not really enjoy the live music. The waiter was completely overwhelmed. We had to stop other staff when we needed something and ask if they could help us. We literally asked for a wine list 5 times!
The food was mediocre at best, and the Bloody Mary absolutely terrible. No garnish, no rimmed glass...it was a big disappointment. We would have gotten over the mediocre food if the ambiance and service had been up to par...but it was not.
Really excellent food, amenities, and ambiance. Our server was neglectful and we went long periods of time not being checked on. The resort itself is gorgeous and would recommend if you have a long time to spare with friends or your date to people watch/wait on service
As a resident we always like to support our local resorts as well as Mom& Pop places. I have been coming here for decades and it is always the best time ever!
Marianna was our server and went over and above accommodating my party of 10.
Put Rita's on your list!!
We had specifically picked Rita's for a graduation celebration. We wanted something special and thought the Saturday brunch would be wonderful.
I called the restaurant twice before Saturday to make arrangement for our celebration and was not told the brunch ended at 2:00 PM.
We arrived at 1:45 PM per our reservation. When asked if we wanted to order we said we were waiting for the last member of our party. And the host did not tell us when we were seated, nor did the waiter when taking our drink orders, nor did the waitress when she came to take our order. NOT ONE of the many staff members mentioned that we might want to order right away, since the brunch menu was not available after 2:00 PM.
The last member of our party arrived after 2:00 PM. We did stay and ordered from the "snack" menu, but it was not the special meal we had planned for our "graduate." We were very disappointed!!
I strongly recommend that guests arriving after 1:30 be told that the brunch ends at 2:00 PM.
Great ambiance. Loved the singer. Great service and food.
The atmosphere can't be beat - sun setting behind Camelback Mountain, guitar music, firepits, good drinks - it's a lovely place to spend an evening (if you can get a reservation!).
Rita’s margarita is a must and also the pear martini. Chicken enchiladas Rojas are always delicious. Sea bass and fajita bowl were good as well. The beautiful ambiance and live acoustic music Thursday thru Sunday makes this a favorite of ours for the past six years!
The food and ambiance was great. The service was just ok it took along time in between ordering drinks then app then our takeout meal for him to check on us.
Our dinner was wonderful and the service was even better!
Gigi was great!
I had a breakfast burro that had a red sauce that was not good and was only able to eat a small portion of it. My husband had Huevos Rancheros which had overcooked eggs and the ranchero sauce was not good. We have had good food there before but yesterday it was not good - Mexican food imitation but not good!!
eggs Benedict were so incredibly wonderful better than most I’ve ever had
Good service. Good food. Loud music and mediocre quality. Overpriced.
Best patio in town and love the live music!
We had a nice dinner would come back loved. The milusic
This was a great place to have dinner after a long work day. Great music and views. :)
Always a great place for especially outdoor dining. We have been coming here for many years and the food is very consistent. They also have live music beginning at 6:00 p.m. most evenings. Beautiful and cozy setting with mountain view. Highly Recommend!
The garden-setting with water features and view to Mummy Mountain is the only saving grace for this restaurant and the food quality shows they know it. We stopped any additional ordering at the chorizo queso and two salsa / guacamole starters. It was bad. Processed-texture cheese with a 'crust', flavorless guac. Margaritas made so sweet like candy (not in a good way). Basket of broken chips. These super basic f too risky for another disaster. Shockingly, it was crowded; hence the garden, water, mountains...
My favorite has been table-side guacamole. It would be nice if you could still at least select ingredients like the table-side allowed. The guacamole we got in our order was tiny and bland. The salsa tastes like store-bought jarred. Where are the hunks of tomatoes and other savory ingredients? Very disappointing.
The best part is the magnificent setting with the mountains, beautiful gardens and nice live music. Priceless.
Great food and service, Beautiful setting, will definitely return
On a perfect night in Phoenix I took my daughter and son-in-law to Rita’s cantina and bar. Our table had a great view of the musician. The drinks and food were outstanding and our server, Tanya is a doll. It happened to be the night of the board of visitors debutante presentation. So many lovely young women in white and their dads in Black tie. You could not ask for a better evening.
We had eaten here before and thoroughly enjoyed it. That said, we booked a table for 6 to celebrate the recent wedding of our son...rather special. I made note of it on my reservation. There was no mention of it at all :( We were seated outside(requested) at a table with ugly views of a bright empty dining room. Our server was fairly attentive, but missed a couple of drink orders that never arrived. The food is good, but choose a different restaurant if you are celebrating a special event.
Patio seating at this time of the year is a delight.
Prompt service. Good coffee with pot on the table.
Excellent breakfast menu.
Good value for elegant setting.
Was a lovely location and the food presentation was fabulous. We were on family vacation and it was suggested by friends were were visiting. We were not disappointed.
Rita's at Camelback is an excellent place to dine. Beautiful location. We dined there three times over two days and Gigi was our server each time. She is delightful women and provided excellent service.
Birthday and vacation!
Excellent experience. Rita our server was awesome
It was a perfect day for outside dining and everyone who took care of us couldn't have been nicer. Our server, Suzi, was expedient, friendly, and helpful.
Great setting for an evening drink or a family dinner. Would have been a great night no matter what, but it was even better with live music playing. A little larger menu might have been nice, but the menu items we had were all very good.
Great outdoor venue!
Quiet enough that you don't have to raise you voice to be heard in a conversation.
