   My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Ristorante Sant’ Ambrogio. The Florentine T-bone was outstanding, the gnudi - which I’d never had before was delicious. Tiramisu was constructed differently than any I’d had before but it was fantastic. This restaurant was an excellent choice for our first night in Florence. I highly recommend it.

   We were greeted warmly and welcomed to the restaurant. Our table was just as reserved and requested: by the open windows. The ambiance was perfect for the celebration of my sister’s special birthday. The food was excellent. The staff was friendly, attentive, and did not hover. We were not rushed at all even though we ate a bit later in the evening. The wine list was diverse, offering wines at both ends of the spectrum. The bisteca florentina is a must. Prices were very reasonable. Menu had a nice variety. They presented a special dessert for my sister making the evening extra special. The restaurant is located away from the tourist areas but within walking distance of the city center. All in all, a great meal and experience!

   We had an excellent dinner so we went 2 nights in a row. Wonderful food; great wine list; every server friendly and helpful.

   Outstanding restaurant with authentic Firenze cuisine. The T-Bone steak was incredible. The service was outstanding. Attention to detail, very helpful in explaining and preparation was unsurpassed. If we are lucky enough to return to Florence, we’ll definitely return!

   Great job! The service was exceptional and the waitstaff helped make it a meal to remember. At the waiter’s suggestion I got the T bone, which looks a little large uncooked, but was the perfect amount after cooking and cutting. The salt pepper, and oil perfected it. They even gave us a sample of a second wine to compare with how it paired with the meat. The restaurant is a few extra minutes’ walk from the city center, but well worth it if you are from out of town. The clientele seemed to be all locals, so this is a great place to come to if you want to get away from the masses. I definitely will return!

   A simply beautiful experience - end to end. The food was exceptional - highly recommend the florentine steak served rare, and the tiramisu was out of this world. The ambiance is simple elegance, not stuffy and the service is attentive and gracious. Overall one of our fave restaurants in Italy!
