Ristorante San Marco
Owner is on site and very engaged with customers satisfaction. Catch of the day was very good!
Best meal in a long time loved every bite and the service was spectacular
We felt bad for the waiter, he was waiting on 10 tables that were all seated at the same time. He was apologetic considering we had to wait 30 minutes for him to wait on us.
Wait. Staff, I’ll prepared. Seemed better a year ago.
Service and food was excellent! We went there for the first time tonight for my son and I birthday. Everything was great and would definitely recommend it to anyone that is looking for great italian food.
Go there frequently because of the wonderful food. I had salmon done rare ,as I requested, with side of spinach. It was perfect. Husband had pappardelle boscaiola which was also from heaven. Good wine selection at reasonable price..ciao!
Love the food and the service can’t be beat!!
Always a pleasure to eat here. The service is great and the food is always fresh and delicious.
We waited over a half hour for our waitresses to even acknowledge us. My daughter went to tell the mgr and he said he would send someone right over, we waited again. When the waitress brought me my dinner which was in a butter sauce it splashed all over my blouse. My daughter said her chicken was dry so again we talked to the mgr and he said he would take care of it???? Nothing was taken care of so my daughter asked the mgr to take her meal off the bill. Even though my dinner was delicious our wine was subpar. Also our waitress had an attitude. Not going there again 😡
Food not as described in menu; Special used different size pasta than described - large pasta cooked al dente instead. Another entree described as having fettuccine w/ red wine sauce with peas and mushrooms but no peas and in cream sauce, although tasty
No social distancing inside. Tables too close together. We asked to be moved outside as a table opened up.
Menu was on the limited side.
Service was EXTREMELY slow.
Food was good.
Much better restaurants in the area.
Poor food quality. Poor service. No reason to eat here.
We had dinner outside on a beautiful nite. Not my first visit there. The food was excellent and also the presentation
My guests enjoyed it thoroughly
A nice dining experience.
The cuisine was expertly prepared.
Our waiter was knowledgeable and took good care of us.
This is a small restaurant, but very comfortable.
Both my husband and I were disappointed in the service and the food. This is our second time to your restaurant. The first time was very good. We waited a long time just to get a glass of water. After waiting for the water and our drinks, the service was better and the waitress was very friendly. I was disappointed in the gnocchi. They were kind of heavy. My husband’s chicken parmigiana was dry and tasted burned on the bottom.
This is an amazing experience! I was informed that reserving through open table is not the way to go because they do not correspond with owners on what actual availability is. So if you want a reservation (highly recommended) call restaurant directly do not go through open table! They were very sweet and service was amazing even when slam packed! Food was amazing! Highly recommended but remember to call for reservation DO NOT use open table because they do not know actual availability!
A very nice Saturday night in Venice. Picked this restaurant as it was close to where we were staying. We were seated outside. The side walk went between the tables which gave little privacy for quiet conversation. The service was slow. They were definitely short on help. Other tables received bread with their water immediately after being seated, we never received any bread even after asking. We were finished with our meal when they finally came and asked if we still wanted any. Our food was ok. The cappuccino was almost the best part of the meal. The cannoli were large enough to share, but very rich. I would probably not return.
Our table was ready when we arrived and the food was outstanding. On the negative side, service was slow (though it was explained that the restaurant had difficulties recruiting servers) and, most troubling, there was no distancing between tables. The pandemic is still a problem and the restaurant needs to address the distancing issue. We will not return until the pandemic is over.
The food was delicious and the server was very friendly yet professional. There was no wait time. They managed the crowd very well.
The four of us enjoyed our selections. I've been there before and would return.
What a delightful place, Service was perfect, food was great. we sat outside and it was just a perfect evening with a nice bottle of Barolo
Meal came out really fast. Potatoes were cool and could have been cooked more. Veal had a salad on top but too much dressing and the dressing soaked into the veal giving it a flavor I did not care for. And they were out of the profiteroles for desert wasn’t on par tonight. So be careful if your ordering the veal!
The food was delicious. We will definitely be going back again in the furture.
Our food was outstanding, both of us enjoyed fish entrees and the dessert of Limoncello cake was very good. Our waiter provided excellent suggestions for wine pairings. The restaurant was very busy when we arrived so that our waiter was trying to catch up with orders and serving. This is a very nice place to enjoy.
Chicken scaloppini was very dry. The sauce was nice but the chicken was so thin it was dry and tough.
Food was delicious. Portions are large. Could have ordered one meal for 2 people. Great service.
Consistency one or the best restaurants in Venice . It never disappoints . Make a reservation today !
Food was adequate, but not remarkable. Food not worth premium prices.
Food was good and our waiter was very good but when we were seated, whoever the person standing around was (older gentleman) ignored us when we asked to have the heater behind us lit. We asked him again and he passed by like he didn’t hear us but we know he did....unless he is hearing impaired. It took until our waiter came to our table, approximately 10 minutes, to have the heater lit. I would assume when the temperature is in the low 60’s, you would already have the heaters lit for a 7:00pm reservation. Other than that, we were happy with everything else. I would recommend but only sit outside when it’s over 70.
Absolutely stunning dining experience, everything was perfect
We are outside. Our server and food were great!!!
Food excellent. Had a great dinner with my family
Food was great as was the service
Our food was Outstanding. Service, not so much.
Hahun was our waiter and did an excellent job of explaining the specials, taking our orders, etc. After that, we barely saw him.
Our food was brought to the table by two support staff members who were obviously undertrained. They couldn't identify the food (just held up the plates) and didn't know how to present it on a table. I'm not looking for a first class presentation, but they handed it across the table, reaching over the guests. When parmesan was brought for garnishment, you had to beg for enough cheese.
For a Venice establishment competing with many Italian restaurants, the management needs to spend a little time with the support staff and encourage the waiter to pay a little more attention to the table.
I always want businesses to succeed and I'm sure they will with me or without me. But, if you want your patrons to remember a great dining experience, you have to treat them professionally.
The service and food was excellent. I feel the ambiance and noise level questions weren't fair because we ate outside. I was never actually inside. It was a very nice overall experience.
Ate there on Saturday night to celebrate a birthday. Was impossible to get our waiter Nahum to our table. We asked if we could sample the house wine before purchasing and were told that the owner frowns upon doing that. We had to buy a glass to sample and after we did we didn’t like it and had to buy a different bottle. One of my guests asked to substitute veal for chicken on a dish and was told cannot do. This leads us to believe that the dinners are all pre-made and reheated!
Nahum never came to our table to see if we needed anything and the only time he did he mention the birthday celebration he never returned to take an order for 30 minutes. By the time he came to the table we told him we didn’t have time to wait for the dessert. We took the check and ran out. I was ashamed by our service as there were plenty of open tables so there was no excuse for poor service he was just not the right guy for the job! I will re think going back because the service was horrible!
One of our favorite places. Sit outside, sip some wine and nibble on a delicious focaccia while waiting for the food prepared by a great chef.
Last time I had chicken with lemon and capers - heaven on a plate ! My husband had the lasagna - perfection ! The portions are just right and so are the prices. Their computers were down for a while so we had a bit of a wait but we were not in a hurry, kind of just gave it an authentic Italian feeling.
Excellent homemade Italian food. We came back the day after for more
What an unexpected gem! Came down to Casey Key to celebrate my hubby’s birthday and had the most incredible dinner here. Everything was perfect, the food, the service and the wine! From homemade pasta and authentic Italian dishes to perfect Italian wines you just don’t find anywhere to the outstanding service, we had the perfect night! I cannot recommend this place high enough. I especially appreciate the gluten free pasta options and would recommend the artichoke appetizer.
Cannot wait to come back!
