Ristorante San Marco
Everything was good except the food took a long time to come out. Luckily we had a great server.
Food was very good. My husband had the pasta bolognese. It was very good. Service also was good. Make a reservation though. It fills up fast.
This is our second visit to San Marco. We really enjoyed ourselves! The food was excellent and the service was as well. We enjoyed talking with the owner and it’s always nice to see the owner present in an establishment. We will definitely go back soon!
Amazing food great atmosphere, we loved every minute
Excellent menu choices for lunch
The food was delicious. Nico and Jonathan took very good care of us. Love the Cotoletta Milanese and Spaghetti
Also Scoglio (Seafood) are always wonderful.
Nice smaller restaurant with very attentive staff and great food. Much of the pasta and bread is made there and is great
Decided to visit after a long hiatus. We started with calamari fritti which was delicately fried and included julienned vegetables in the mix: light and delicious. For mains, we both had specials: grilled branzino and veal saltimbocca. Both were fresh, tasty and human-sized portions. Service was expert and friendly (Ryan). Enough staff present to ensure good food and service: along with waiter, a very friendly expediter, and we also met a manager/owner. Such a lovely interior reminiscent of an Italian trattoria. Very nice wine offerings. We will be back very soon.
We would definitely recommend the restaurant to a friend or two. We had reserved a table seeing it was our first time to visit the restaurant and had asked for a booth (if they had that to offer) and a window view. They accommodated us nicely with both!! Our waiter was Ryan who was very attentive and knowledgeable and answered all the questions that we had regarding some of the selections on the menu. I stepped out of my comfort zone and asked for a light red wine and he offered a sampling of a very nice red wine which I found very enjoyable. We did try their version of Fried Calamari and their presentation was very interesting and it was delicious!!! My husband had the Lasagna which was a generous portion and could easily be shared with one other person.. I did a seafood dish with pasta and it was VERY GOOD!!! We had a show to go to at Venice Theatre so we didn't have time to sample their desserts but we will be visiting them again and the desserts will be on our agenda!
The food was expertly done, and our waiter wasx very attentive and nice
Cozy Tuscan ambiance accompanied with homemade pastas and tasty assorted entrees.
It was my first time at San Marco, and my experience was great. Our waiter Jonathan was terrific and the food was outstanding!
Great food and service. Thank you.
Great food and awesome service by Jonathon. Always a treat to dine at San Marco.
My wife and I arrived 20 minutes early but were seated immediately. John, our waiter was fantastic in explaining the menu and providing recommendations especially since all menu items were in Italian. I selected dishes that otherwise would have not and am very happy I did. We participated in the Sarasota Dinning program that included a three course meal and a glass of very nice wine. We never felt rushed and it was relaxed dinning. The stuffed banana peppers and egg plant appetizers were excellent and extremely tasty. The entrées were also excellent in that I had the wide pasta with Italian sausage in a very flavorful white sauce. The seafood pasta my wife had was amazing. Desert was fantastic in we selected the tiramisu and the cream puffs for they were already out of the cannolis. We are making plans already to head back in the near future.
Our server Nick again did a great job. We will be back.
San Marco is sure to impress with fresh and tasty Italian dishes to please all. Accompany your entree with a lovely glass of wine and finish with cappuccino and a cannoli.
Food was tasteless. Was given bay scallops in place of sea scallops, unless they were just that small. Totally not what you would expect. Was charged $20 for a child’s meal. The waiters first suggestion was ravioli and that is what the child chose not realizing it was from the main menu
Our waiter was superior and the food was too. We are happy to enjoy lunch or dinner there at any time.
Excellent service and great tasting food, staff very professional
Food was delicious! I had chicken caprese special and dining companion had veal scallopini. Both excellent. Creme brulee for dessert was yummy! Service was attentive.
Outstanding food and service. Very happy with this local “find”!!
Very lovely restaurant. Food and service was very good. It’s a bit pricey for every day eating but in keeping with other restaurants on Venice Avenue. Our friends shared an entree which made it more affordable.
San Marco has extended their Sarasota savor menu. The wine to the appetizers and entrees could not have been more delicious. A truly fulfilling meal teamed up with pleasant wait staff.
Savor Sarasota lunch menu was great. It included soup and salad plus entree and dessert with a glass of wine. Food was delicious!
Astonishingly attentive service from the moment you walk in! Fresh pastas, perfectly prepared. A nice variety of wines, interesting appetizers, all reasonably priced. Plus, fabulous location in the middle of lovely downtown Venice. Looking forward to future visits!
We ate outside Lovely evening. Met Lisa and Phillipe. The owners. Very nice people. Excellent food.
Great little restaurant.....ambience, food, service....excellent
Our server Johnathan was amazing! He was so friendly and accommodating. The service was great. The food was phenomenal-- gnocchi, tagliatelle, salmon... All of it! Looking forward to our next dinner here
A real gem for Venice! Food was outstanding and the service was excellent! Our servers were attentive but at no time did we feel rushed. The homemade pastas and sauces were delicious. We will definitely be a frequent visitor!
We truly enjoyed our meal and the service was excellent.
The Savor Sarasota menu is a great value. The artichoke appetizer was artfully prepared, we all enjoyed our entrees, and the house-made tiramisu was delish! Our waiter was very attentive, all in all, a delightful evening. Would definitely recommend ( and have) to my friends.
Support our local restaurants during the slow summer season.
Lovely family-owned restaurant in downtown Venice. While I am sure there are other wonderful dishes on their menu, I am hard pressed not to order the Pappardelle Boscaiola again and again. Handmade pasta is tender, handmade sausage is excellent, and it's rounded out with green peas and mushrooms in a red wine sauce. Luscious! And the portions are so generous I have enough for another lunch or dinner. Service is pleasant and efficient. Definitely worthy of many repeat visits - and maybe enough to have me try something else equally delicious.
We were so thrilled with the experience. Such flavorful foods and our guests had many allergies that they went above and beyond to accommodate. Super friendly staff and owners. If it were closer to home I would frequent often.
The server was superb. Cozy atmosphere. Great food.
