Excellent food, wine and service. Lively but reasonably so atmosphere.
Food was amazing
This was a very popular restaurant & though it was the 1st time for us, we intend to return. The service was excellent. We made our reservation through Opentable & were seated immediately. There were ample street parking if you go early (around 6ish). Service was friendly & food service was reasonably fast. Food was good! Serving portion were adequate for dining there. They have one of the best Tiramisu in town - almost like the one I craved for from Milan. They served good, strong coffee which paired very well with their Tiramisu. A great Italian food spot.
Amazing food, atmosphere, and staff!
This is my favorite Italian neighborhood restaurant. The food is authentic Milanese. Pasta is fresh. Wait staff are Italian, too. Love this place!
The fettucine were delicious and so were the mushroom bruchettas. Really excellent. I discovered a new wine grape variety: falanghina (Antiche Terre) that paired wonderfully with the food.
The service was particularly wonderful. It seemed as if the staff was comfortable and even enjoyed working there.......always a good sign for how everything is likely to be!!
Delicious pasta and desserts. Picked Ristorante Milano for my birthday dinner.
Ristorante Milano has been a delicious and gracious part of our life for over 20 years. Aldo has consistently innovated and elevated Milano above all our other favorite neighborhood restaurants - old classics (like the most perfectly grilled Veal Chop In SF) mix with surprising new treats like Crostini w/polenta.....The menu focuses on seasonal offerings favoring local producers, but what keeps us coming back time after time is the unfailing warmth, good cheer and talent of Aldo, the kitchen, and the whole Milano team. If your favorite brother was Italian and a restaurateur, this would be his place.❤️
Excellent food and service! Highly recommend.
Went with my wife wanting great Italian and we loved it. From the Pear Salad to the ravioli to the veal, we loved it all. Can’t wait to go back.
Fantastic Italian food in small intimate setting. Feels like you just ducked into a small restaurant in Rome or Florence. Highly recommend it!
Always exceeds expectations!
We had a reservation for a party of 7 and we were able to change it to 8 with very short notice. We ended up getting there from 10-60 minutes late to the agreed time but the host was still extremely welcoming and friendly. The food was amazing and the server made great suggestions when we asked. I hope to return again soon, maybe punctually next time. Great for any age looking for a nicer yet reasonably priced dinner.
Wonderful dinner. We have not been in Russian Hill in several years. This is an outstanding restaurant.
This has been my fourth trip. It has never been anything but delicious and enjoyable. Worth the trip and moderate struggle to park.
Food was authentic and excellent, and the service was very attentive without being intrusive.
Excellent dining experience. Recommend!
A real find
Charming restaurant with great food and service. Tables are a little tight. We will definitely go back – on the early side on a week day.
Interesting menu. Attentive and knowledgeable service. Small place so if filled..esp. w lg groups..can be noisy. Owner stopped us outside to chat..nice touch!
Everything was great! Owner came around a few times and checked on us! When we left, he remembered our names! We will be back! Thanks, Aldo and team!
Excellent, authentic Italian restaurant- All food outstanding & very fresh! Wonderful servers and staff. Ristorante Milano is a charming neighborhood gem in the Russian Hill neighborhood.
Great to discover another restaurant in our neighborhood. Menu was interesting, food was fresh and delicious. Service was friendly and smooth. I look forward to returning.
Our friend was visiting from out of town and he specifically asked for the best Italian in the city. I had never dined at Ristorante Milano but the reviews were impressive. Our dinner did not disappoint! The food was authentic and delicious! The restaurant was small and intimate. Our friend was really impressed very happy we came
My favorite restaurant in SF. Never had a bad meal. In over 20 years. Food always fresh. Staff excellent.
A birthday weekend looking for a good restaurant near Pacific Heights. Watched Check Please, channel 9, and saw Ristorante Milano which got rave reviews and especially the Tiramisu.
Greeted by the owner and seated before our reservation. Our waiter was exceptional and very attentive. The food was wonderful, the wine was great and of course we had the Tiramisu! and it did NOT disappoint!
The food is well prepared and delicious. The only thing I was disappointed in was that I wanted to purchase just a 1/2 glass of wine, I was drinking it by the glass so it shouldn't have been a problem and they said they didn't do that. I have never asked for this and been denied. In fact many places offer it if you are hesitant. However I would go back.
The fresh pasta is truly superb. The wine selection is solid. I just love this place as a neighborhood gem.
Great food. Good portions . Susanna was a super waitress!
My wife and I have been coming to this restaurant for a few years and we are never disapointed. The food is amazing and and the service is as well.
As usual, we had an excellent evening. The table was ready as we arrived for our reserved time. The service was relaxed and efficient. The food was delicious. What more can you ask for ? Thank you.
Overall a good meal with excellent service. My rating drops some because the dishes were all heavy on olive oil, butter, cream, etc. I felt excellent flavor could have still been achieved with a lighter hand when using fats. I will be coming back though as the quality of the food was quite good.
Amazing food. Small neighborhood place that adds to the meal.
The noise level was perfect because we were in the small room. The larger room would have been way too noisy for us. The food was outstanding except for the bread which is just good- but not excellent. Maybe because in S.F. we're spoiled by the great sourdough bread. Loved the ricotta cake - very unusual to see on a menu.
Cool place, food extremely underwhelming.
Service and food were very nice. Small restaurant. Table too close to each other, table needs to be pulled out to get in and out of tables. I feel the restaurant is pricey, but it is SF and I do understand that all these min. wages, city imposed taxes, etc. drive up operating costs, but still pricey.
Beautiful cozy environment. Attentive, personable staff across the board from the owner, waitstaff and bus crew who gave great recommendations with a touch of humor. Food was excellent and reservations online made it a simple, great, romantic experience!
Love this restaurant. Never disappoints and the food is always great! Our GO TO place.
