Food was adequate, service somewhat slow but was alright with me since I don't like to be rushed during courses. I was really appalled upon receiving my bill. A coupon was used, spend $50 to receive $25 off. Three of us incurred a bill of $107.50 however a mandatory gratuity of 20% was added to the bill. Confronted the server and was told the gratuity was added because we used a coupon. We'll never go back there again.
Poor food was acceptable but when I asked for an appetizer size portion of lobster ravioli instead of an entree size the answer was no and Ricky told order the entree and take it home why waste it and pay for what we can't eat we ordered two entrees already. The service was bad better places in the area to go to
Overall, very good. Menu was somewhat limited compared to other restaurants. Food was very good. The service was excellent. A really nice quiet local eating spot.
Great food and service! Highly recommended.
The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The food was good and prices are reasonable.
Upon entering it really doesn't look like much. But what it lacks in ambiance it makes up in food. we were a party of 5 and everyone's meal was awesome. Our waitress was wonderful, full of personality and knew what to recommend etc. Fresh fish everyday. Pizza tasted like NY style.
would definately go back! great find. check it out.
Service is excellent. Specials are always top notch. I will continue to go back.
I am new to the neighborhood as I just moved to Englishtown less than one month ago. I noticed this restaurant as it was a 5 minute walk from where I reside in Stamford Square. The staff was extremely polite, professional & attentive. The food was absolutely delicious from the appetizer to the entree's and all of it was reasonably priced. If I was to suggest anything it would be to include the actual tentacles in their fried calamari appetizer instead of just the rings however this appetizer was still quite tasty and this is just a matter of personal preference. Can't wait to re-visit this restaurant as it is a great find in a convenient location.
My wife and I met another couple for dinner. We enjoyed the food very much, all 4 dishes were excellent, as well as the desserts. Waitress didn't hover and allowed us to enjoy our meals and coversation. If you want a nice dinner and a relaxed environment, this restaurant will fit the bill.
This was one of the worst Italian restaurants I've been to. The food was bad . The service was horrible.
"Safe" Italian cuisine but overpriced. Would be much better as a pizza joint
What used to be a neighborhood spot to get a slice and a coke has grown up to be aq neighborhood gem. Spent New Years eve with friends and we were all impressed with the food and the service. A very nice Pinot Grigio with dinner topped off a more than pleasant experience.
My first time dining at this Englishtown restaurant and I was pleased with the whole experience. From the soup to a very good lasagna, I had the most attentive service. The food is certainly in the 3 1/2 star range and is easily recommended for a casual night out.
Service was spotty and poor at times, but food was good.
Food was excellent. Service was great. Very friendly atmosphere. Owner came over and introduced himself. Will definitely go back.
Either we picked the worst night in 31 years or the other 4 reviews are family. We went to eat at 7pm, we sat until 7:20 before being asked if we needed a drink, we ordered three appetizers and dinner at the same time, appetizers came out close to 8pm, not bad not great, salad was very small, lettuce and a few croutons “done" Dinner made it by 835-840, veal was super thin, nice tasting but flattened to a pulp, my wife’s shrimp parm, sauce tasted like jar marinara, my son had 4 small stuffed shell's, so on and so forth, We waited from 9pm to 10pm for 2 strip steaks and a calzone to go. Seven ppl, 3 to go orders, 3 hrs and $253 dollars. I have never seen slower service in my life, everyone was treated the same way so we were not special, t
