Great food. Always have a great time at this place.
Small, loud resturant with a hectic pace set by all staff. Felt the frantic energy from staff throughout our meal and was very unpleasant. The place was very busy with people waiting and watching diners from a couple feet away as they ate due to no lobby or waiting area. The food was nothing special. I am Italian and recently visited Italy and this food is nothing like "real italian food." You want real italian - go to Ralph's South Philly!
Fabulous, like being in italy.. Simple but perfect..
It starts with the bread. From there every taste was rave able..
It will be our once a week dinner stop..
Best Italian we've had anywhere around here & we are Italian & know good Italian food! Just wish they had their own bar.
Great find by my friend. Food was absolutely delicious, service was excellent, very attentive. I hope they do well! BYOB too!!!!
growing up on phenomenal Italian cuisine made from my Italian grandmother I've always found it hard to find restaurants that matched that level of quality, until I came across Luca. it is the only place of the dozens of Italian restaurants I've ever tried that makes me feel like I'm at home eating authentic Italian food. from the taste of the food to the genuine staff you are sure to feel like you're part of the family.
Took my mother for Mother's Day for an early dinner. The food was very good. Delicious desserts.
The place is small and hard for Mom and her walker. They had to move tables and chairs for her to get to table. The noise level was very loud.
Would still go again.
This is a good little BYOB. Service was very good and attentive and the food was great. We had reservations for 8:00 on Saturday night. I might have given 5 stars but I took one star away because we had to wait about 25 minutes even though we had a reservation. I understand that stuff can happen but there were 3 or 4 other parties that also had 8:00 reservations that were waiting just as long as us. So none of the 8:00 folks were seated until almost 8:30. I was going to leave but decided to stay. I'm glad i did but I don't think i would wait that long again. They need to figure that out. Standing in a tiny little crowded vestibule for 25 min is not fun. No food is that good.
Were very satisfied with our recent experience. Booked solely on reviews, Luca is definitely worth a revisit. The food was very well prepared and the portions plentiful. The mussel appetizer was delicious. Two of us had the specials - the Barramundi with lump crab was excellent. An off the menu veal was very tender. The lemoncello tiramisu was a perfect light ending to the meal. The wait staff was friendly and accommodating. The pricing is very reasonable for the quality and quantity. Thank you for a very nice dining experience.
First time here. The food was great. We went on Saturday night at 7:30. The place was packed. Having said that there were 2 things “wrong “:
Our waiter seemed overwhelmed and didn’t check on us.
The noise level was off the charts.
We will go back, maybe off-hours.
Ristorante Luca is great! The food and service were wonderful! We really enjoyed ourselves.
Amazing! The staff, ambiance and food will charm their way into your hearts and you'll be planning your next visit before your meal is through. Can't say enough good things about Ristorante Luca!
Excellent service and food!
2nd time here and I was just as impressed!
Great waiter and good food!
We were the only diners on a Sunday afternoon. Our food was delicious and service was fantastic. I had the gnocchi and pistachio cheesecake for dessert. We will return!
This was my second visit and I was not disappointed. Love that they take reservations and honor the reservation time. The restaurant is small and can become a bit "snug" especially when large groups are dining, but otherwise comfortable, just a tad noisy. Parking is abundant, which is a plus. Food and service are great, lots of nice feature items every night, ingredients are fresh and the preparation is spot on. Have had veal dishes on my two visits, really outstanding. Their featured fish dishes are also delish. Service is very efficient without being overbearing, and all of the servers and staff there are working hard to make sure you enjoy your experience. Just love the nice young lady who greets and seats you, and continues to check on you throughout the meal to make sure you have what you need. Can't wait to return again and bring some friends who are always looking for nice dining options in an areas that doesn't have many great choices.
Small Italian Bistro family owned. Food excellent. Service outstanding. Will be one of our favorite neighborhood restaurants.
Great food and service. My second time there and will definitely be going back! Each time have had the seafood special and it’s been very good. Service is always very good.
My husband and I have been here twice, once for Valentine's Day and once with friends. We absolutely loved the food, the ambiance, the service and most of all it's close to home and no need to drive to the city to enjoy delicious food at reasonable prices.
Everything from the apps to the desserts was delicious and made fresh and favorable. Will come back here again and again.
Pre-fixe Valentine’s Day menu was wonderful. Great mix of standard menu and new additions. My wife had the portabella mushroom with crab meat in a brandy cream sauce, and I had the grilled pineapple with burrata and shrimp. Both excellent. Second course, wife had Mediterranean salad and I had cauliflower soup with jumbo lump crab meat, which were both excellent. We both had the veal oso bucco with saffron risotto for an entree, which I’ve had before. Delicious as always. For dessert my wife had crime brûlée cheesecake and I had a triple layer chocolate mousse. The cheesecake was phenomenal, the mousse was mediocre (and frozen in the middle). Overall, a wonderful experience.
It was a wonderful Valentine’s Day dinner!!! The food was amazing the service was excellent we enjoyed it so much and will definitely come back again and we will tell all our family and friends
Went here with my wife for Valentine's dinner. Great 4 course prix fixe menu. Good service and good food.
Seating is tight. That is the only negative
We have been there twice and have not been disappointed with the food and service. The food was excellent and even the owners ‘daughter was very friendly and helpful.
Delicious food...great portions...service was wonderful!
This is a nice little neighborhood gem. Very much a family run restaurant, and that shows, which is nice. Service is very good, the staff are all attentive and friendly.
The food is typical for what you'd find at a neighborhood Italian restaurant, perhaps even a little above average.
It's a very small place, used to be the original Blue Sage restaurant. Doesn't seem like they did much at all to it, and it feels a bit plain/dated.
The prices are a little much, given what this restaurant is. If the prices were a little better, this would be my best pick for Italian in Southampton.
Food was delicious and so fresh! Looking forward to going back!
We were very pleased with our dinners and will definitely be returning. My husband had the veal medallions with mushroom, my daughter had chicken with sundried tomatoes, I had the beet salad with grilled chicken. All were delicious. We also had the calamari and my husband had the beef minestrone that was supposed to have tortellini but they were missing! The dessert was terrific! They had numerous choices that were equally tempting. We ordered a cannoli, chocolate cake that was served warm which tasted exactly like a lava cake, a stracciatella gelato and a pistachio gelato. The gelato were nicely presented in tall glasses and were delicious. (See picture below) A few criticisms were that the chicken and veal portions were pretty small especially compared to the very generous amount of grilled chicken on my salad. The interior is quite small so conversation travels easily. Service was very attentive. It’s byob so the wine was perfect :)
Overall it was outstanding. Food was great as usual and so was the service. Only complaint was it was really noisy. Took away from the ambiance.
We have dined at Luca several times and have never been disappointed. The food is consistently tasty and fresh. The sides with entrees change often which is not the case in other Italian restaurants we visit. Portions are generous so lunch the next day is always a treat. Our server is friendly without being intrusive so we always feel welcome. Being a BYOB us a plus.
We decided to try this new restaurant for New Years Eve. It was a gamble being that it was a holiday and our first time there, but we were very happy with the decision to give it a try. Bring it was New Years Eve it was a bit crowded with larger parties, but being that the whole place can only hold 45 people or so, our party of 2 was not overlooked. The menus was a four course prod fixed menu because of holiday, but you were given plenty of choices for each course. The food was delish and presented beautifully. We will defiantly be back again. Looking forward to trying it again on a non holiday evening.
Had a nice meal. The food and service were very good. We will return again.
We went with friends on a snowy night when most of the other reservations had cancelled. Wait staff was very friendly and attentive. Food was out-of-this-world. BYOB. Can't wait to return!
Food was very good. Service was excellent.
A neighborhood surprise- recommended by friends! Great and look forward to going back!
We had a really wonderful meal. Sam was a great server and Giancarlo a fantastic chef. The homemade ricotta crostini were especially amazing. Thank you and we will see you again soon.
Chef cooks with love and the food is amazing! Beautiful people, treat you like family not a customer.
