Every detail and part of each recipe served at the restaurant is made from complete scratch, from the pasta and sauces, to the puff pastry and creams in our delicious desserts!
We also serve special dinners off menu which can be reserved in advance, ranging from $37 to $45 per person. These special dinners consist of a family style 3 course meal with an abundant amount of tastings for each course with different tastes of cuisines based on meat, seafood/fish, and vegetarian recipes.
Besides dining in and carrying out, Daniela is also available to cater your special events such as weddings, graduations, birthdays, etc.
The food is amazing and so is the service! With the added outdoor seating, it is quite romantic for a couple or cozy for a group of friends!
We wanted to visit the restaurant sooner, but never made the time until recently. Wow! We were missing out! The food is fantastic, so balanced in taste, so fresh. Without a doubt some of the best Italian food I had in a long time. The staff was lovely and made our special occasion even more special. Definitely will be going back again!
Food was fantastic
good food, good service, a place to dine and visit for several hours, outdoor heating available (not needed on our visit) for future use
Always wonderful food!! Well worth a visit or return visit!!
Great food - authentic Italian with handmade pasta by the owner and friendly staff makes this our go to special occasion Italian restaurant. Highly recommend
This place was fantastic. Felt as if we were back in Italy. Service was great and both mother and son made us feel welcome. Food was delicious and authentic Sardinian. I highly recommend this unique little restaurant.
Fantastic in every way! There gnocchi was especially great.
Looking for a night out with my family for outdoor social distance meal and we found this place. We got there at 6:30 pm and it was virtually empty on a Saturday night. By 7 pm they were full. The service didn’t suffer, the food was lovely, desserts were yummy, and we couldn’t have been happier. It’s Hamden at its best.
Outstanding food, service snd atmosphere. It helped that the weather was perfect for outdoor dining.
Daniela's is always excellent. The food and service are reliably outstanding every time. The selection of food is superb. Everything is fresh and cooked with great care and love. I've never been to Sardinia, but Daniela's make me feel like I am there. Bravo, Daniela!
They had several hand made pastas that were gluten free. AND they had the best gluten free bread. Wonderful!
Awesome - Daniela waited on us and cooked the meal. Even customized some dishes.
Daniela is a family owned restaurant and the whole family works there. The food is made fresh daily and all of the pasta dishes I have had are delicious. Everyone is friendly and they are big on customer service and making people happy. They have a good amount of outdoor seating during these difficult times, have all silverware individually wrapped, and wore masks at all times (following all rules). I felt very safe and comfortable. I would recommend this to a friend and will go back as soon as possible.
Daniela’s patio is charming, the food delicious, the service friendly, and the prices very reasonable. We had two pastas and the veal scallopini. Highly recommend and we will be back!
Great food! Pasta was handmade and seafood was fresh!
Wish I could honor them with more stars...our new favorite restaurant ❤️
I was underwhelmed. The Actual Pasta was good. Everything else seemed like it came from a can, including the ravioli filling. I don’t normally review restaurants- when an Italian restaurant in the middle of summer does not use fresh basil (seemed like it was dried years ago and shaken out of a can), I figure I would let others know that if u r looking for fine food, this is not the place
Delicious Italian food with a Sardinian twist. Family owned and the love shines thru. Our favorite restaurant in Baltimore.
Service was great as always. Outdoor seating is perfect on a nice evening. Food is outstanding. Great spot in Hamden!
This seems to be a small family-run restaurant with comforting, authentic Italian dishes. The pasta is especially worth trying. Well prepared and presented.
Great outdoor dining experience. Food and service are always superb, and the covered front porch is a lovely place to eat during this pandemic.
We lingered and enjoyed ourselves for almost 3 hours -- great food, service, conversation with friends. Staff helped us move from under a smaller garden umbrella to the porch during small rainstorm.
This was my first time visiting since covid and it was the same great experience we’ve always enjoyed at Daniella’s. Highly recommend.
Best restaurant in Hampden! Great service, authentic Italian cuisine!
This was our 3rd or 4th visit...if one is looking for a glitzy "upscale" atmosphere, that's not Daniela's. It's quiet, cozy, kinda like a restaurant IN Sardinia! The food is traditional Sardo (Sardinian) cuisine. The owners/family ARE from there! We've loved everything we've eaten there. Our daughter-in-law IS Sardinian...and she loved it, too!
Non-attentive service and mediocre food. The wait staff kept saying they would bring us bread, brought it to other tables but never to us. The veal was the smallest driest piece of meat I have ever seen. The pasta with salmon was gummy. On the upside, the fragola with clams was tasty. All and all, since this was a celebration of my child's 30th birthday and I wanted a nice meal, we were really unhappy.
Best gnocchi on the planet!!
Solid. I’d go back for sure. Sauce was fresh and food was good.
A fun, rowhouse restaurant in Hampden featuring wonderful Sardinian/Italian food. We had delicious food and conversation in a laid-back atmosphere. Carefully curated wine list at reasonable prices and authentic Italian food, ranging from veal to lasagna, cured meats, burrata, salads, and more. Will continue to return.
if you love Italian (Sardinian) food this is where you want to eat!
Food had very little flavor, service was poor, and wine selection was very limited.
Ristorante Daniela was nice. It's a classier experience at a reasonable price point. The food was good, but nothing bowled me over. The staff was pleasant but not overly solicitous. The ambiance was cute and homey if a little cookie-cutter in places. Overall, I felt like I got what I paid for. Not the best I've ever had, but a sizable step above serviceable.
This has become one of our favorite Baltimore restaurants. It's a lovely and intimate space, and the food is outstanding. Sardinian cuisine is similar to Italian, but with some twists that make it interesting. I've had nothing but delightful experiences at Daniela.
The restaurant was adorable. We all had a wonderful time, and will definitely come back!
Really unique food - not what you would find in every other Italian restaurant in town. And it was delicious! We shared the frito misto, verde salad then had a full meal and dessert - I was full but the food was so light I was not uncomfortably stuffed - and believe me there was plenty of food! Staff was very welcoming and kind - gave helpful descriptions and recommendations. Good value for wine. All in all a wonderful evening- I will come back.
Wonderful, quaint space. Great food. Great people running the place.
What a fantastic place, cozy, inimitable service, family-owmed with the mom being the chef, u feel u r dining in an italian house with so much love and generosity. Definitely top 3 italian and top 10 overall Baltimore’s restaurants.
Stefano is a wonderful server. Just the right amount of attention and humor.
I love that this is a locally owned, family business with so many dishes coming from their home recipes.
Maybe it is because it was a slow night but they were very slow to warm up to us. We weren't sure who our waiter would be as no one really spoke to us. Most of us thought our food was pretty good. I ordered the lasagne and it was really just OK.
