Exceptional service, great food and value. Just one block off 5th Avenue.
Excellent as always! ❤
Wonderful food and superior service. I would highly recommend this restaurant!
One of our favorite restaurants in Naples. A very experienced and well trained staff always thinking of a customer first. They must visit if you’re new to Naples
Terrific find. Wonderful food and service. This is excellent, well prepared no frills food like we would expect to get in Italy. Just outside the 5th Ave craziness to nice and quiet sitting outdoors. The interior of the restaurant looked very nice but that will be for some other time.
One of our favorites. Great food and very good service every time we go.
Always enjoy the wine selection.
Always excellent! Great menu, and specials. `Gianfranco is the best.Home made pasta is outstanding.
Great Food!
Always a great evening
Valentines Day dinner. Had 8:00 reservations. Checked in with hostess she said we were eating outside. No problem kind of preferred outside. She said she had to clear and set table for us. Waited and waited no one came out to set table. She looked outside and saw us standing there 15-20 minutes later not too happy. She said she checked us in but then proceeded to say she forgot about us!! Not a good experience and will not go back.
My husband and I had dinner at Ciao on Valentine's Day. We were very disappointed! Upon entering the restaurant, the smell of spoiled fish was overwhelming. We hesitated to stay because of the pungent order after some consideration. We decided to stay and not order any fish dishes on the menu. I ordered the veal chop with mixed veggies and mushrooms. The chop was overcooked and mostly fat and smothered in a tasteless brown gravy with canned mushrooms. The veggies were steamed with no seasoning, simply plain and watery. I could not eat the veal chop. I left it! My husband had a pasta dish that was overcooked, smothered with sauce, and overall nothing special. The service was prolonged, considering Ciao was only moderately busy.
Overall would we eat at Ciao again? No, and we would not recommend doing so.
The menu online and the menu in the restaurant are different!?!?
This was mine and my fiancé’s Valentines Day dinner. Now to be honest they were busy as you would expect on such a holiday. I understand that service would be slower with the amount of people there. However, our waitress Autumn (not sure of the spelling) treated us like stepchildren. She took much better of the larger tables she had where the tip was going to be better I’m sure. Now I realize that we were a table of two, but I will tip well if I have good service. Granted my bill won’t be as large as a table of six, which was behind us and had excellent service from what I could tell. We had to ask to get our drinks refilled and even after that it took 15 minutes and her walking by us a few times with no refills in her hand. Long story short it ruined my fiancé’s and mine first Valentine’s Day dinner. Unfortunately, I will never return, nor will I recommend it to any one I know. I realize that this won’t matter at this point in time and I don’t normally post reviews, but in this case I needed to let people know the terrible service I had on this occasion.
truly delicious food with very attentive service.
The food was outstanding. The service was impeccable and made for an enjoyable evening.
Valentines Day early celebration! We are dining at our favorite restaurants during COVID!! Because we do not want them to close✅👍 delicious food and presentation.
The food was delicious. This was our third time there in 2 years and we were not disappointed.
Natalie our server was wonderful. We loved the ability to dine outdoors.
This Naples Gem, situated a short block from the hustle & bustle of 5th Avenue was a great find. This is an old schol neighborhood Italian restaurant. The food speaks for itself. Modern, yet old fashioned at the same time. This is comfort food of the highest order. Service was impeccasble and our courses arrived right on time, prepared and served beautifully. Drinks were generous and the wine list was exceptional. The eclectic decor brought a smile to our faces. Next time, when facing the daunting crowds a block a way, do yourself a favor and try this wonderful, yet unassuming restaurant!
The food was delicious and service impeccable! Only downside was when we received our bill and saw 2 vodka and tonic drinks cost $25. That is a bit of price gauging
Always a favorite. Dover sole is to die for.
Our server was Julian and he was lovely.
Great food and a wonderful wine.
Love Caio......food the best
Great meal. Great service. Will definitely go back
Always wonderful food and service. The owners are strictly adhering to Covid guidelines. Must try!!
We opted to eat outdoors, so the ambiance was somewhat lacking, looking at the bank drive-thru, but what was lacking there was made up by tremendous and attentive service. The food was all prepared well and tasty. The bruschetta and pistachio cake were exceptional.
We've been going to Ciao's for over thirty years and have never had a bad meal. Everything is excellent.
Had a wonderful dinner with my wife and adult daughter. My wife had the snapper piccata, daughter had marsala and I had veal parmigiana. Veal was excellent . . . many times veal can be tough, this was very tender. Wine and food was reasonable price-points. We'd go again.
Restorante Ciao is one of our required destinations in Naples (we’re from Columbus OH). The calamari is superb, a unique preparation we have never seen elsewhere. Bread perfect, entrees spectacular (I had seafood pasta with clams, mussels, shrimp, calamari; wife had pasta with lobster & shrimp)piping hot—don’t grab the plate! Finished with homemade pistacio sponge cake. Our server Natalie was both delightful and helpful-told wife not to get her alfredo sauce on the side, selected desert for us! Coffee is great, just the right Italian roast to finish a wonderful meal for my 71st birthday (we ate there for my 68th 69th & 70th, too!!) Prices are very fair for quality and portions (I would pay $10 more and not flinch). We’ll be back for sure!!! Thanks, RestorantebCiao!!
One of the few restaurants that will serve Dover Sole tableside. This is a dying art and it was really a nice treat and the fish was wonderful.
A very nice menu and the calamari is fabulous - the best we have had at a restaurant. I recommend both those items. The Dover Sole is pricey, however very nice especially when celebrating a special event.
The atmosphere is so nice with white tablecloths and just off 5th's busy noise. There is outside dining if you do not want to sit inside, however the tables are nicely seperated inside and we felt totally safe.
great service great food no wait with reservation
Excellent in every way! The olive oil is sooooo good! Our meals were excellent, and the service was at a high level and very helpful! We will definitely return!
This restaurant is always a great place to dine! Excellent in all ways!
A totally excellent experience! Great food and our server, Natalia, was outstanding. We will return.
Thanks for accommodating us
Authentic Italian food in a cozy atmosphere off the busy 5th Avenue scene. Attentive service and great food. Give them a try!
Everything was very good, but the prices could have been lower.
Very good food for reasonable prices. Amazing desserts, great service!
Food was excellent
Place was fabulous
Service outstanding!!!
Always excellent. Highly recommend to anyone
Great meal.lovely people
Lights are too bright. We had to ask 2ce to turn them down, but spots on ‘art’ were still too bright and cold.
The shrimp Diablo without the Diablo had very little flavor.
