Your Sunday brunch is outstanding.

Chef Ferrarese outdid himself with the best Risotto we have eaten in Houston. He should know , he is from the Piedmont region.

We have dined here many times. The restaurant is going through yet another management change. However the new restaurant manager is quite good. The food was outstanding but the wine list not. Said to get an overhaul which is needed. Few great selections and some are severely over priced.

Late Valentine night, sat with dirty table waiting for 10 minutes. Then a completely unsynchronized experience with the 3-course dinner, had to ask for a menu, ask for wine-list and at an overpriced rate for a dinner experience, I could have better at my house. Absolutely nothing special, just pure average food, wine, and service. There are better places in Houston to spend $300 for 2 persons.

Honestly, I don't know where to begin. I searched OpenTable for a great restaurant to try for Valentine's day and came across Ristorante Cavour and Bloom and Bee and brought them to my partner for review. After we reviewed the pre-fixed (and pricey) menus of each, we landed on Ristorante Cavour, intrigued by the promises of canapes, prosecco, and lobster. Alas, the day arrives for our reservation and we save our appetites and arrive hungry, anxiously awaiting an elegant and tasty meal. To our dismay, we arrive to a very traditionally fancy looking restaurant.. but that was pretty much the only thing it had going for it. The lights were bright and all the way up, the place was cramped, the chairs horribly uncomfortable, the crowd extremely judgemental, and there was 0 music. We are seated and waited a good 20 mins to even be asked if we would like something to drink, which we graciously accepted. We wait another 15 minutes until we receive our microscopic canapes.. a tiny bowl (think salt bowl) with a *taste* of some sort of paste/broth. We order our pre-fixed choices and I got the lobster "salad" appetizer and it was *awful*. Not only was the portion about 2oz, but the lobster tasted dirty, like it came from murky water. It wasn't properly cleaned and by salad, they really mean 5 pieces of assorted microgreens on the side. The veal was perfectly cooked, fell off the bone, and the chef really came after my heart with the marrow. On comes the dessert-- It was as if the chef just threw together everything. The flavors were a mishmash of things that didn't go together, surrounding what tasted like an overly-chewy store bought brownie topped with what tasted like canned frosting and garnished with a flower. I didn't finish it. We left hungry, unsatisfied, not feeling the Valentine's spirit, and feeling swindled out of $240 and promptly drove to buy tacos in hopes of salvaging the night. Overall, the food, ambiance, and service were not up to par. Will not be returning.

Service was poor, had to ask for plates to be removed from our table, had to ask for silverware, and ask for water, coffee, never received the Mamosa’s that we supposed to be part of the meal. Quality of the Buffet was nowhere near what we were expecting based on prior experiences. Pianist played so loud we couldn’t have normal conversations.

Sylvain, Chef Mauricio änd Angela were outstanding. My wife has severe allergies and all our issues were accommodated perfectly. An extremely enjoyable and safe evening!! Huge kudos to all the staff at a beautiful venue

The food was such a disappointment. It used to be wonderful. Things were plated beautifully, looked delicious & had no taste. Hot food not hot enough & appetizers not quite cold enough. There was lovely oyster with caviar ...not very cold & totally no taste. It’s like under seasoned or something. Been there twice lately. Don’t think there will be a third visit.

We had Christmas Brunch, and it was delicious. The lobster tail and caviar were a big hit for most of the guests. My only wish is that the desserts were tastier this time. I remember the Christmas Brunch a few years ago had a beautiful large Yule Log cake that was so fresh and moist. This time, it was very small, cold, and dry. The service from valet to wait staff to management was outstanding. Everyone was extremely attentive. We will definitely return next year!

We love the Sunday Brunch here. Everything is fresh, and there is always a wonderful section of traditional breakfast/Brunch items along with fresh seafood, fruit; and special entrees like today’s sea bass, seafood stew, even tomato basil soup! Service is attentive and courteous, even with the valet service as you enter. A favorite spot!

The setting is gorgeous. Loved the little bar with a singer, but too crowded until late. I would have given this place excellent ratings, but the service was incredibly slow, though there only two other dining tables filled when we walked into the dining room. Finally had to get up and go to the bar to get a cocktail to bring back . Inexplicable, and no acknowledgment of the glacial speed by staff. The hostess was lovely.
I love elegance, but I also expect food and drink! Have been to the Hotel Granduca in Austin, and did not have this problem there.

This restaurant is no longer worth the money to eat here. The quality, and selection of food here is
not worth waisting your time, and money. The mimosas had little to no champagne in them, and made in the back instead of at the table like in the past. The server spilled the mimosas over my eating area and made no attempt to clean up the mess he maid. This is not what I expect from a five star restaurant.
The Eggs Benedict was over cooked, and the ham was so salty it was inedible.
Save your time and money and go somewhere else.

Server need to pay close attention to table such as when customers finish eating plates should be removed not wait till customers waved over. Also, bread brought up to table was burned and should not have happened at this type of restaurant.

Cavour is a perhaps the only true European style restaurant in the city. The dining room is small to give that feel of so many restaurants in Europe. The food is very good and the service is exemplary!

Nice quiet bar and restaurant. The bartenders, waiters, and sommelier are top notch. Then there is the food. Branzino rates with any fine restaurant in the world. Highly recommended.

Chef Ferrarese has transformed this restaurant in one with the best Italian food in town. The secret is out.
The service beyond perfect and the food and wine cellar are outstanding.

Exceptional food and service! This evening, I had the seared scallops with crispy prosciutto and braised cauliflower. The scallops were wonderful, firm and full of flavor; and the crispy, smoky prosciutto was a nice accompaniment. Also enjoyed a creamy burrata and tomato salad as a starter. The portions aren’t overly large, but always expertly prepared and presented.
