We had pasta dishes and a nice wine. This was a good find, close drive from our house, they have a nice back room for rent for larger parties. The service is very good and they have a nice bar area.
Have dined there many times and have been very pleased. Dependable and satisfying. Affordable and very nice staff. Accommodates large groups or intimate ones.
We enjoy this restaurant because it is close to home and the downtown area.
Quiet atmosphere, for an early dinner, which allows for easy conversation.
Staff is knowledgeable about food and drink. Attentive, but not overly so.
Food is always tasty and well presented.
It was a wonderful place to spend my birthday! I enjoyed the neighborhood feel, the diverse menu, and the delicious food!
Our first time there. Waiter was quite good, and food too.
I typically recommend this restaurant when I'm wanting to have a get-together over great food in a warm environment and the opportunity to talk in a way where we can actually hear one another and feel good about the conversation. This restaurant gets what it means to make the dining experience something that focuses on all aspects for an evening out!!
Very cosy, family-run kind of vibe. Fairly small menu but what we had was great. Service could have been a little more attentive but they were quite busy. Will definitely comeback and recommend to others
The Alfredo pasta was delicious and my husband added chicken which the kitchen accommodated with no problem. I ordered the lamb shank special and it was divine. Our vegan son was very pleased with his meal.
Very good lunch. Nice ambiance and service as well as good value.
We were at the restaurant for the Valentine dinner night. Food was excellent, so were the services. The environment was perfect for a romantic dinner night. Recommend to add more vegetarian options.
Very good authentic Italian food. Service was good. Prices are average, get there early as it can be difficult to talk when the restaurant is full.
This was our anniversary dinner. Options are vast and pretty good. We got a complimentary Tiramisu for our anniversary. Appreciate the gesture.
We had a very good time. It was very crowded for Valentine's Day, and it took awhile to get our food, but that was really just due to the occasion and a very full restaurant. The food was really good, the ambience nice and the prices were very reasonable. I highly recommend it.
Go to when in the Los Altos Hills area. Traditional Italian. The food and service complement the experience of the reason for the visit.
Bella Vita is a nice restaurant for friends, family, and celebrations. The menu has a nice variety of dishes, the specials are also very good, and there is a full bar. Bella Vita is one of my favorite places to eat.
Excellent service. The polenta/mushroom starter is very tasty. The Marsala reduction sauce laced with Gorgonzola is particularly yummy. The penne Siciliano was tasty. The chef knows what to do with Italian style dishes.
A great place to bring family for some Italian fare.
We were very pleased with the food. The service could have been a little better. We plan on returning.
Food has been consistently good over many years. Ristorante Bella Vita is a family favorite restaurant.
We have always enjoyed dining here. However, this time the meal did not live up to past dining experiences. Cappelini Al Pomodoro with added chicken was not very flavorful. Also, the portion seemed smaller than in the past. Beet Salad was very good. Service was friendly and attentive. We like that we can come here for a quiet, casual meal so will try again with hopes of a return to the good meals we have enjoyed in the past.
Service was excellent as usual, but I have to say I was disappointed with the fettucine bella vita pasta dish. Compared to past visits (at least 4 times/year), the portion was small, the sauce bland, and the veggies were sparce. The gamberi prawns entree was the expected quantity, but a little bland also.
Really enjoyed the outdoor atmosphere! Exceeded our expectations. 5 out of 5 dishes ordered were fabulous.
Bella Vita is a classic, go-to neighborhood Italian restaurant. They have a classic menu with plenty of selections of all courses without being overwhelming, plus they always have a couple of good entree specials. The wine list is almost exclusively Italian, but no Barbera! How can an Italian restaurant not offer a Barbera? Despite the lack of Barbera, we keep going back because the food and service is very good and it's in our neighborhood.
Bella Vita was great, however they had no record of the reservation I had made on Open Table. I had gotten a confirmation number too fro Open Table. Was disappointed.
We love this restaurant... beautiful plates of delicious Italian foods...always delivered to our table with amiable waiters....great way to celebrate our anniversary.
What a high note to end the MLK weekend...delicious food, etc!!
Great food and service. Nice for evening out. I hope you'll enjoy it as we did.
This is one of our favorite restaurants, whether just my wife and me, or with another couple or two. It's quiet enough for good conversation, and the food and atmosphere are excellent.
The restaurant has a family feel to it. Cozy and warm inside. The wait staff seemed to be doing a pretty good job considering all the full tables. The food was tasty with a good portion size. I also liked the wine selection.
Service was OK, but not great. The greeting was one of disinterest. There was nothing that made the occasion special. The food was, again, OK, but not special. We're walking distance, but I'm not sure that it was worth the walk.
The service level was lacking on this night although the rest of the experience was good. It just appeared as we showed up on a night when they should have been closed. We have been there before and the service level was far superior.
Very romantic, great wine and food was perfect
Awesome food, great service and very reasonable prices - what more can you ask for.
I found the menu to be suitably broad with an excellent wine list.
The food was tasteless , and the pasta over cooked. The server did not know what spaghetti al olio was. The bruschetta were soaked in water.. overall was a big disappointment as we had been there earlier in November and everything was good. The reason we came back.. I don’t think we will return . The prices were jacked up for the season also.. we had no wine or alcohol and all we had was pasta. Still the bill was over 250.. for what???
I selected this restaurant mostly for service reviews. Our waiter was barely adequate. Waited some time for waiter to approach table to take drink order. Never checked back after serving dinner. We instructed server to give my husband check so we could treat. Waiter did not give it to the right person’ had to argue to get the bill.
The quality of the food has gone down from what i remembered.
A little loud at first; but it is the time for Christmas get-togethers. Found was excellent and reasonably priced. Wine by the glass was a bit pricey.
Food was ok, however we were not greeted upon arrival for over 10 minutes. Unsightly water stains in all ceiling corners, seating very worn looking, very crowded. We had to move our table out just to sit down. One of our guests was sitting right next to a big column.
The food is always superb: fresh, flavorful, and steaming hot. Service is really exceptional and ambiance is wonderful. The only criticism I have is the wine list. The only wines that are less than $34 are the house wines and the house Chardonnay was one of the worst I have ever had. It was actually bitter. The markup on wines I am familiar with is more than triple what I pay retail. So next visit I plan to have a cocktail.
