The Umbrian wild pea or roveja, was first cultivated by Neolithic people living on a plain in the Sibillini mountains. It is believed by some researchers to be an ancestor of the common pea. In past centuries, roveja was a staple in the diet of the herders and farmers who lived in the mountains. In ancient Rome, it was used to make "puls" a sort of porridge. Roveja was still consumed in the Middle Ages but was forgotten over time. More recently a few local producers have revived this ancient but rare legume.

Very lovely dinner. We were celebrating our engagement and the staff gave us a card and champagne! Very nice personal touch! Only suggestion would be to slow down. Food came out quickly. In Italy, the dinner would have lasted for several hours.

Not inexpensive, but a really nice experience. Service was excellent and attentive. Cocktails were good, particularly the Black Manhattan. Food was also good. Our party of four each had different dishes in each course. No one was disappointed. Portion size is small by American standards, but you are satisfied at the end. Of particular note - one of us got the tiramisu and it brought them to tears. Delicious.

They switched to a tasting menu and rotate different regions in Italy we enjoyed it because we are adventurous diners so if your an ala cart eater this restaurant would not be a good fit

It was my birthday with the next day being our anniversary, so we wanted to kick it off well. I remember going to Ristorante Bartolatta when it first opened with a client. I loved it and we subsequently made many family memories there. It has been awhile, but excellence ages well. It was a wonderful evening from the bread to the wine to the exquisite courses. Service was impeccable. Thank you, for another great memory. We miss you and God bless you, Joe.

The Bartolotta restaurants are our favorites. We haven't visited Ristorante Bartolotta since before the pandemic so it was nice to return. The food was just excellent and the waitstaff were extremely helpful.

Hostess looked at me like I was something the cat dragged in - yes I was wind blown ( it was windy outside!) and my clothes are probably from Kohls :) The servers were delightful. The food disappointing, especially for a holiday brunch. tiny portions and nothing special. I’ve never seen sea bass flat like a little perch. We literally ate again after we got home. Most disappointing meal I’ve had there. Based on this meal alone, though, I would not recommend it to a friend

It started off with something floating in my glass of wine which was replaced. We did not like the fact that the only option was that you had to order a 4-course meal. Our appetizers were good, 2nd course was very salty, 20-minute wait for our 3rd course, which was also too salt to consume it all, dessert was good. Upon receiving our bill, we were not asked how we enjoyed the meal, which I feel is a standard question at most establishments. We will not return to this restaurant.

We were a little concerned about the Prix Fixe menu they have adopted for the last few years. Boy, was that misplaced. It's been a while since we were here due to the pandemic. The food, the service, everything, was 5 stars. There was not a single aspect of our dining experience we could find even a little fault with. Service was attentive but not hovering. The portion sizes were appropriate and the service was well paced. The seafood and the meat mixed grills were awesome. HIGHLY recommend both. Our first visit here was in 1993 just after they opened. Joe Bartolotta sat down in our booth (we were dining with clients) and asked what we thought after dinner. I've met him a few times over the years at various events. He was a really nice and generous man. RIP, Sir. Your legacy lives on.

Food was good but not great. Very loud in restaurant I know everyone is paying more for everything including restaurants for the food and employees because of the poor economy but for what we payed and what we got I don’t think we’ll be back. Two people and our bill was $250 not including the bottle of wine.

What a wonderful Easter Brunch. We decided to try something different and chose Ristorante Bartolotta because they offer a 3 course dining experience for Easter. You could pick an item from each course with a choice of approx 6 or 8 items. Something for everyone. Food was outstanding and I left full but not uncomfortably stuffed as you would with a buffet. Staff was attentive and professional. Will definitely return. This may be the start of an annual tradition.

Easter brunch was delicious. I enjoyed my time there very much. We were seated immediately. We had a reservation and even though it appeared crowded we felt cozy at our table. Service is always wonderful, Bea and Peter were very attentive without being intrusive. I appreciate that there was a place to dine out on Easter.
