    We booked via Open Table for dinner on 1st January. The booking was accepted but we arrived to find the restaurant closed!

    The owner/manager of the restaurant disappeared almost as soon as we (a party of 8) sat down. He left us with a server who had only worked at the restaurant for about 3 weeks. She was excellent, really helpful and fun, masking what could have been a difficult evening a lot better, there was only us and 1 other table occupying the restaurant all evening. Starters were good. I had the ham - there was loads, with mozzarella and cold small asparagus. Ito was very good. Don’t have the lobster with tagliatelle - 4 or 5 of us. The lobster was served in the shell, with the pasta on top, but essentially we had to play hunt the lobster. There wasn't any! It looked as though we’d been given the carcasses that should be used to make a fish stock! Desserts were limited - tirimasu or panna cotta. Cheese available when asked was only Parmesan (so not really an option)
