Risibisi Ratings and Reviews
This was our first visit to Risibisi. There a lot good Italian restaurants in the Bay Area. So, we didn't have any special expectations. We made a reservation because it was convenient. But we were pleasantly surprised! This is a little gem! The food is truly Italian! Very fresh & tasty, and best of all it is not common place. This is the type of food we ate at better restaurants in Italy. We are thrilled to have discovered Risibisi!
This was a birthday dinner, and we were thrilled with the service, food, ambiance, signature cocktails. The only thing missing was they didn't remember it was my birthday, so no special treatment or dessert. That's the only "hole" I can poke in an otherwise perfect evening.
five for lunch.......small cesar salad and petrale soul .....in delicious sauce
others had seafood pasta and pasta bolognese
All very tasty.
Had doughnuts to dip in sauce for a shared desert and Americano Coffee.
Service professional and friendly.
Planning on returning.
There were three of us having a birthday celebration....we shared the brushetta appetizer, the roasted beet salad and then all had our own entrees......The flat iron steak was done to perfection (medium rare)...the vegetables and potatoes were so tasty and perfectly done as well.....the other two felt as pleased with their entrees as I did.....the three of us are meeting for dinner in two weeks and the request is that we return to Risibisi! The service was perfect....attentive without being intrusive....
We were recently at Risibisi, a first time visit, and we are so glad we went. The food was fresh, unique and scrumptious! I would highly recommend the seasonal Pumpkin Ravioli with brown butter - Yum! Our only complaint: Very noisy in the back room. So much so that I could barely hear my date. Highly recommended and we will be back!
This was our second visit to Risibisi as we live in Vacaville. The food was just as good this time as the last. We love their donut dessert with orange angalaise sauce..divine!! There were 8 of us and we each raved about our choice of entrée. Definitely a great place to stop while in Petaluma.
This was my first time eating here and it will become one of favorite restaurants! The service was impeccable even though the restaurant was busy. The food was just terrific. We shared the beet salad with arugula and pickled red onion which we loved. My daughter ordered the brick chicken which I will order next time. It was that good! I got the hanger steak, a cut that I am not used to. I always order steak rare but in this case it would have been more tender if it had been cooked a bit longer. I did tell the waiter that the meat was a bit tough and that is when he told me about it being better if cooked longer. I wish he had shared that with me when I ordered.
That was my only critism. We got wonderful cucumber cocktails.
No one was rushing any of the customers.
I will be back soon!!!!!!
I love this restaurant every time as it is consistent. The food is fresh and interesting and the prices are reasonable. Their hand made gnocchi is the best I have had anywhere. It is not noisy as the acoustics are good so that you can have a nice conversation without disruptions and distractions. I recommend for lunch or dinner anytime.
We both ordered the eggplant parmegian and we both loved it! The portion was actually too big for me...but I ate almost all of it. We had started by sharing a Caprese Salad which was very fresh and delicious. We ended our dinner by sharing two scoops (chocolate and hazelnut) ice cream. Very nice setting and excellent service.
The ambience was lovely-relaxed and inviting. The service was Impeccable from the time we were greeted at the door and throughout our entire meal. The smoky mussels and clam appetizer was so delicious that we had to get every drop of the broth with the toasted bread that was served with it. Highly recommend the main courses. The Fettuccine had delicious morsels of shredded short rib that was infused with pork and tomato ragu. The only down side of the meal was the calamari salad. The calamari was cooked perfectly but it had no flavor and the vegetables were soggy and also had no flavor. I had to use salt (which I never do on any meal) and even then it did not help. We will return but will be wary of ordering the salad.
We enjoyed the food at your restaurant but the service ...... While we got our drinks and appetizer in a timely manner our waiter did not come back to see if we like our appetizer or to see if we wanted another drink. Probably a 25 to 30 minute period without checking on us. And after giving us our main dish the same thing happened. No checking back to see we were happy with our order.
In a town where there are many excellent restaurants, Risibisi ranks among the best. Food is always well prepared, the staff is professional without being overbearing and the ambiance is charming. We don't need a special occasion to dine here since the prices are moderate for the quality of the food.
I have been to Risibisi before and have always enjoyed the experience. We had a GREAT waiter, young and very personable and attentive. He suggested a few things on the menu and I decided to go with his suggestion of brick chicken which was fabulous. The season was terrific and the sides wonderful. I was very pleased. My friend had the risotto which she also enjoyed. They were kind enough to accommodate my friends 10 year old with a few sauces for her Gnocchi. We had a nice dessert to round out the meal. The only downside was my watermelon salad which was a bit bland. The Cesar salads my friend had was way tastier. The ambiance is very nice, but it's a little tight the way they have the front of house laid out. The tweaked it a few times, maybe try again. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting a nice Italian meal in historic downtown Petaluma.
