They were too busy! Had to wait long time for the staff to come. I was asking for a plastic cup for my 19 months old grandson. The waitress forgot. She also forgot our corn bread. No one comes around to refill water, had to ask twice. Our desserts were taking forever to deliver to our table. Just not a good experience this time.

Our daughter loves coming here for the cheese pizza while she watches Caltrain pass. She thinks it's so cool for the station to be right there. Their pizzas are thin and very delicious.

Been here many times. Never had issues. This time 3 out of 4 had poor/mediocre food. Appetizer came out first as it should. Within two mins of having it they brought out 1 of 4 entrees. Never had time to enjoy the app. Then the last 3 came out separately. Told waitress but she only had excuses that made no sense. We will think twice before going back.

Great food for a lunch gathering with friends. Pizza and salads. You can't get that combination most other places that qualify as "fit for a foodie." The strong selection of many sharable salads is the game changer here. They are all fresh and delicious. There is a "great pizza" on the menu for everyone to be happy with the choices. My guests are always impressed with the friendly service too. You train them well. I will keep coming back.

We were there on Mother's Day - a notoriously busy and crowded day to dine out. But our reservations were promptly handled, and we were seated right on time. From then on, the service was very good. It was clear the restaurant was prepared for the crowd. The food and drink came out promptly, and it was clear that the restaurant was not only adequately staffed for a busy evening, there were two gentlemen walking around, checking on us. :How's everything? Do you need anything? Rise is one of our regular destinations, but I was extra impressed with how well they handled the crowd.

Burrata pizza and custom date and bacon pizza were outstanding. Italian chopped salad and chicken cobb salad were huge and very good. Our server Linda was very sweet and attentive inspite of being understaffed. Will definitely return.

Wonderful service and good food! Hard to choose what to order, but we were not disappointed. I definitely want to return to try the pizza and other offerings.

Food and portions were excellent. Heaters made temperatures very nice. It was very noisy and service a bit erratic, but all servers helped each other when we needed it.

Right next to the San Mateo train station, Rise rises to the occasion and gives you a feeling of traveling somewhere fantastic and in this case, to devour some beautiful Italian pizzas! My favorite is the fungi and along with it a chopped salad! It is the best way to start your Friday night and weekend. They welcome you with open arms, smiles on their faces and an evident desire to make sure you get exactly what you want! Cheers.
