Food, ambiance, service was outstanding. Our server Amir was very professional and he was very knowledgeable about the food. Bartender Alex was very great! Definitely coming back.
Perfect souffles served in a charming pretty setting. Will definitely be back!
This was our first visit and we will definitely be back! We participated in the Houston Restaurant Week menu and it was delicious and we were able to sample different souffle's as we were a table of 4. We had the crab, ham and cheese, and southwest chicken souffle's for our entree and they were all piping hot and flavorful. The restaurant was decorated perfectly with all the details that you would want. The front door was beautiful as I love old things.
Rise No 2 is consistently great in every way. This is my sixth visit - four times with girlfriends and twice with my husband. We have all agreed that the food is delicious every time. Two of my girlfriends and I go every year on August 15 to celebrate Julia Child’s birthday. We dress up in aprons and pearls and have a grand time. The staff treat us like queens . Yesterday was our third annual celebration and it did not disappoint. Parking is plentiful and within easy access in the convenient garage. I feel like I am back in France every time I go to Rise. If you have not been, you really ought to do yourself a favor and give it a try. This year I tried the mushroom truffle soufflé for my entrée and I will be hard-pressed to ever eat anything different . Bon Appetit!
A quaint and inviting restaurant, the service was impeccable and they were so sweet with my 20 month old. Highly recommend, loved every minute.
Rise makes a beautiful setting for meeting friends and sharing a bottle of something pink. Every one has a choice of eating healthy or minimal or not. I usually order foods that I don't make at home or don't make well. The savory shrimp with avocado souffle plus the gazpacho was a wonderful treat. The four of us shared the Cassis dessert souffle since we were celebrating an engagement and a retirement. Our server was cheerful, friendly, helpful and quick to refill our glasses. What a wonderful setting to enjoy each others company over delicious and well presented food.
It was great
Souffles galore. Each one we tried was a new experience for us. All delicate and delicious. The french onion soup was nice too. Our server was attentive but not intrusive. All in all a nice relaxed something different dinner.
It was amazing! Gustavo, our server, went above and beyond and the food was amazing. Definitely will be back
Food is phenomenal and so unique! And everyone in the restraint from the hostess to the cooks were so friendly and helpful
Loved the food and service was excellent.
Great experience! French Onion Soup was the best. We have eaten at Rise twice, each time choosing a different soufflé. Both experiences were excellent. We will come again soon.
Everything we selected from the Houston Restaurant Weeks menu was beautifully presented and tasted marvelous. My marshmallow soup was such a treat, I didn't think the chef could top that starter--but the cauliflower and brie soufflé did just that. I wrapped up with the chocolate soufflé, a perfect finish for the other two items. My husbands' selections matched his more traditional tastes: blue cheese and toasted pecans in the Rise salad, spinach soufflé, and bananas foster soufflé for desserts. We traded bites of each course, and his dessert might have barely edged out mine. Okay, his salad was also yummy.
We went for my mom's birthday and had such a great experience. The service was excellent, everyone loved their food (definitely choose from the cheese cart!), and they made my mom feel extra special. Will definitely be back!
Another lovely meal at this restaurant. We went for the Houston Restaurant Weeks menu and were not disappointed. They ensure that the favourites are on the menu and showcase the best of their menu. The service was great. We will definitely return!
FABULOUS!!! One of my new favorites in Houston! Everything we tried was exceptional! Can't wait to go back!
Love the place and the food. Your savory souffle are a delight to my taste buds.
We were excited about eating there since it was our first time. The food is excellent and far exceeded our expectations. We all tried different things and glad we did so we got to try a variety of items. Try it! You won’t be disappointed.
Excellent waitstaff, beautiful view, excellent specialty souffles—crab, salmon, and key lime—also great wine suggestion!
We tried the specials, which included fresh crab in one and mushroom in the other. Our waitress was so enthusiastic that we had to try the cassis souflee for dessert - and it was fab!
Went for a birthday lunch. Had a wonderful time. Food was delicious.
I love the food at Rise. The service is great and it is a very relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. I highly recommend it.
So much detail has been put into this concept. From the decor to the serve ware. The service was top-notch. I enjoyed the salmon soufflé and sampled my friend’s escargot soufflé which was amazing. I look forward to going back!
This unique French restaurant is truly one of a kind! I have never been to a souffle restaurant before and was very pleasantly surprised! The environment is very cozy and eclectic and every detail has been thought of. The food was beautiful and delicious and the service was top notch! I look forward to going back next time I am in TX!
Great concept, only soufles. But stay away fron to much cheese if you wanna try the great (soufle) desserts.
Great food , enjoyed our time there , will come back
I love the romantic feel of this place, the decor makes you feel like you are eating in a restaurant along the French Country Side. We have been here several times. I tried the Shrimp and Avocado Souffle and then the Grand Marnier Souffle for dessert. I want to go back ASAP and enjoy them again. Service was well-timed and friendly. We enjoyed our Cabernet, I believe it was the Obsidien (spelling).
Great place for a date. Prompt but not pushy service, outstanding food, and good value for the product.
Will be going back. Soon
Ladies' toilet offers no privacy! An automatic door system keeps the main door open exposing the glass-fronted stall door to view by anyone passing by to the Men's toilet. The glass is so marginally opaque that all positions and movements of the person inside can be seen. And the sinks and mirrors must be shared in the hallway with the gents. Really, this arrangement had to have been designed by a voyeur.
I was finally able to bring my neice to Rise! She is a culinary gal and LOVED it! We had lunch and it was just perfect! I had the Brie/cauliflower and she had the sausage/herb, followed by the fruit tart for dessert! Delicious, as always!
I brought 3 women with me - first time at Rise for 2 of them, and first time in Houston for the other (she had been to Dallas several times). First off, AJ was our waiter, and he was awesome. He had been our waiter for my birthday as well. An exceptional waiter is so important to me, as is a quiet venue, and we were not disappointed. He will remember that one of our party got TWO soufflés for dessert. It was a divine evening. Thank you!
Lovely place - perfect Souffle!
The food is amazing and the service was too! We will be back soon!
Both the smoked salmon and raspberry soufflés were delicious. The rise salad is good, too.
The atmosphere is a little eclectic and the food is wonderful! Unfortunately for us it was Bastille Day and the restaurant apparently thought it would be delightful to have a mime going round to tables over and over to entertain. Is anyone really entertained by a mime? I hate to be cliche, but our table found him to be highly irritating.
Nice place for brunch lunch. Easy to get to even with work on post oak
Lovely restaurant, however there were two moms at 11:45 with two babies/toddlers that screamed through the first half of our lunch. Neither mom ever made a move to quiet their children. Very sad, that customers can't think of anyone other than themselves.
